OVW Saturday Night Special January 2015 Results

This is the OVW Saturday Night Special Report for Saturday, January 3, 2015.

Tonight, Adam Revolver defended the OVW Heavyweight Title against Michael Hayes, The Fabulous Free Bodies defended the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles against TerreMex, Frank "TPT" Miller & OVW Owner "Nightmare" Danny Davis took on the War Machine & Michael Titus, plus more!

I was on assignment tonight, so the following results are courtesy of our good friend and special correspondent, Nathan Karpinski.

Here we go...

NON-TITLE: Rump Thump vs. OVW Television Champion Dapper Dan

Rump in control early with a series of hip tosses and a drop kick. Dan with an Irish Whip into the corner but Rump counters out with a big Missile dropkick. Goes for the Rump Thump, but Dan catches him and attempts the German suplex, but Thump stops it. Dan gets the upper hand after a brutal throw into the ropes and takes control of the match by overpowering Thump. Every time Thump tried a comeback, Dan answered with a huge power move. After they exchange punches, Dan tries for a backslide pin, but Thump reverses it and covers Dan for the pin.

WINNER: RUMP by pinfall. (Rump gets a future TV Title shot).

"Apostle" Jake Glasure (w/Jade Dawson) vs. Adam Wyld

Jake easily in control with his power. Throws Adam into the corner, then distracts the ref while Jade chokes him. Adam attempts some offense to no avail. After the referee forces a break in the corner, Jade again chokes Adam on the apron. Adam mounts some offense with dropkicks, then whips Jake into the ropes to kick him again, but Jade catches Jake to prevent it. Jade into the ring to hit Adam, but Adam ducks and Jade clotheslines Jake. Adam with a superkick to Jade and then a springboard super kick to Jake for the pin.

WINNER: WYLD by pinfall.

SK Eveslage & Dave-Lo vs. "Ram Jam" Jonathan Ramser & The Assassin

SK with an attack on Ram Jam from behind before the bell. Works him over before tagging Dave in. Dave attempts offense, but Ram Jam laughs at him and hits him with a big bodyslam. Goes for the cover, but SK breaks it up. Tag to SK, who attempts a submission before hitting a neckbreaker. SK hits Assassin in the corner and the ref stops Assassin from entering, allowing the double team on Ram Jam. Ram Jam is stunned and Dave tags in. Ram Jam with an arm drag. While Ram Jam tries two vertical suplexes, the ref is tied up with the Assassin allowing SK to clip his knee. Ram Jam finally gets the tag and Assassin cleans house. He takes SK down, tags Ram Jam, and throws Ram Jam off the top rope onto SK with a frog splash for the pin.

WINNERS: RAM JAM & ASSASSIN by pinfall.

"No Class Connection": Deonta Davis & Leon Shelly vs. "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe & "Primetime" Robbie Walker

Robbie and Leon start off. Quick tags in and out between Howe and Walker. Deonta tags in and gets worked over. Ref gets tied up with Walker, allowing a No Class double team on Howe. Deonta works over Ryan until Leon comes in and gets kicked in the back of the head. Ryan dropkicks Deonta off the apron and gets the tag. All four men end up in the ring. Ryan and Robbie collide, Ryan gets tossed out and Leon covers Robbie for the pin.

WINNERS: NO CLASS by pinfall.

"The Ultraviolent" Chris Silvio (w/Big Trevor) vs. "White Kryptonite" Eddie F. Diamond

Silvio attacks EFD OUTSIDE before the bell. It backfires, as EFD gets the upper hand before eating a knee off the apron from Silvio. They finally get in the ring and the bell rings. EFD had the upper hand whipping Silvio into the corner and out of the ring. EFD goes up top, but Trevor steps in front on Silvio. Silvio goes up top, but EFD knocks him down and yanks the ropes while Silvio is straddling them. EFD goes up top, but Trevor knocks him down. The ref sees it and sends him to the back. Silvio attempts a piledriver outside, but EFD reverses with a back body drop. Back in the ring, Silvio in control and off the ropes into a swinging neck breaker. Silvio up top and attempts a flying axehandle, but EFD hits him with a dropkick. Both men in opposite corners, EFD charges across the ring and Silvio hits him with an RKO out of nowhere for a 2 count. EFD reverses a whip and hits Silvio with a running knee to the face. Both men exchange punches in the center of the ring. Silvio attempts the Rocket Punch, but EFD counters into the Cripwalk Crossface. Silvio tried to roll it into a pin, but EFD keeps it on until Silvio reaches the ropes. Silvio with a rake to the eyes and throws EFD over the top rope. EFD goes after Trevor, who has returned, then flies through the ropes onto Silvio. Back in the ring, Trevor trips EFD. As the ref is counting out Trevor (or he'll disqualify Silvio), EFD rolls Silvio up and gets the pin.

WINNER: EFD by pinfall.

After the match, Silvio is in Trevor's face while the crowd chants "loser". Silvio berates Trevor, who looks like he is going to snap...until Silvio hugs him and they leave the ring.

OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: "The Fabulous Freebodies": The Bodyguy & Big Jon (c) vs. "TerreMex": Randy Terrez & the Mexicutioner

Ref checks all wrestlers before the bell, and finds a variety of weapons on a freshly shaved Bodyguy. Randy and Bodyguy start things off with Randy taking control. Tags in Mex who delivers a big chop to the Bodyguy. Quick tags and more chops from TerreMex to Bodyguy. Bodyguy finally tags in Big Jon and he and Mex go at it. Randy with a blind tag and Mex doesn't like it. Big Jon whips Randy into the corner and goes for a splash but misses. Randy ducks a couple clotheslines before Big Jon connects. Quick tags as the Freebodies work over Randy. Big Jon with a huge suplex then tags in Bodyguy, who takes control with a headlock. Randy powers up and tries a couple elbows before Bodyguy regains control and tags in Jon. Jon rams Randy into Bodyguy's boots before making the tag. Axehandle to Randy's head before Bodyguy locks in a headlock. Randy powers up and reaches for the tag, but Bodyguy clubs his back and tags in Jon. Jon tags Bodyguy and slams Randy while Bodyguy tried the double knee drop. Randy moves. Bodyguy goes for the body slam, but Randy escapes, crawls through his legs and makes the tag. Mex whips Bodyguy into the corner and hits a big sidewalk slam. Big Jon comes in and hits Mex from behind. Randy with a Missile dropkick to Jon. Bodyguy rolls onto Mex for the pin. Randy is on the top rope and goes for the flying headbutt to break up the pin, but Bodyguy moves, and Randy hits Mex. Bodyguy covers for the pin.

WINNERS & STILL TAG CHAMPIONS: FREEBODIES by pinfall.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Adam Revolver (c) vs Michael Hayes

Michael on the attack before the bell rings and Adam can get in the ring. Ref gets them separated, and Adam tries to rake the eyes to gain an advantage. Michael throws him into the corner, before Adam gets control and takes Michael down. He hangs Michael over the second rope and kicks Michael in the head. Michael crawls to the corner to try to recover. Adam grabs him and hits a suplex for a 2 count. Adam hits a couple big fists before draping him over the ropes and pulling the rope to snap Michael back. Adam covers for 2. Adam gets Michael to the corner, but Michael hits a couple elbows and attempts a suplex but falls back. Adam covers with his feet on the ropes, but the ref sees it. Adam with a suplex and another 2 count. Both men up, and Adam locks on a headlock. Adam again goes for the sleeper. Michael fades to the mat. Ref checks Michael's arm, but it stays up on the third try. Both men up, and Adam again locks in the sleeper. Michael won't go down, so Adam slams his head back with a handful of hair. Adam gets a chair in the ring, but the ref throws it out. Adam attempts a piledriver, but the ref stops it. Adam gets in the ref's face and then again attempts the piledriver, but Michael back body drops him. Adam charges Michael in the corner, but Michael moves. Michael with big fists and then a sideslam for a 2 count. Michael to the second rope and attempts the flying elbow, but Adam moves. Michael gets up and locks on an armbar, but Adam pulls the ref into them. All three are down, when Dapper Dan comes out and rolls Adam onto Michael. Ref counts 2, and Michael kicks out. Michael hits the facebuster. Mohamad Ali Vaez runs out in a Michael Hayes shirt and tells Mike he's got this. As Michael goes to cover, Ali hits Michael from behind, gives him the neckbreaker, and Adam gets the pin.

Michael Titus & "The War Machine": Shiloh Jonze & Eric Locker (w/Josh Ashcraft) vs. Trailer Park Trash & "Nightmare" Danny Davis

Danny and Locker start off, and Danny with a hard fist to the face right away. Quick tag to TPT, and he and Locker tie up. He gets TPT to their corner and goes for a punch, but Frank ducks and he hits Shiloh. Locker again with a fist, and again Frank ducks, and this time he hits Titus. TPT tags Danny in. Danny works over Locker before tagging TPT, who begins delivering big chops in the corners. Shiloh tags in, and also gets big chops in the corners. Tag to Danny. TPT holds Shiloh while Danny chops him. Danny with a snapmare into a headlock on Shiloh. Shiloh breaks the hold and tags Locker. Locker works Danny over with big boots. Locker with a headlock into a shoulder pressure point hold. Locker holds it on for a while as the fans chant for Danny. Danny fades and the ref checks his arm. On the third time, Danny's arm stays up and his fingers signal no. Danny tries to make it to his feet, but Locker takes him down and locks it back on. Danny fights to his feet and shakes his head no. Locker throws him to the ropes and hits a big back elbow. Titus is tagged in, but when he goes after Danny, Danny fights back and Titus makes a run for it. Shiloh tags in and locks the same hold onto Danny's shoulder. Danny is fading, but again the arm stays up on three. Danny fights up to his feet, but Shiloh clubs his back. As TPT tries to enter to help Danny, the ref stops him. Meanwhile, Josh and Locker are choking Danny across the bottom rope. Locker tags in, and again attempts the same submission hold on Danny. Danny gets his foot to the rope causing the break. Danny to his feet and stomps on Locker's foot. Before he can make a tag, Locker cuts him off and again tries for a submission. TPT gets the crowd into it, trying to rally Danny. Danny to his feet and hits Locker with a big fist, but Locker takes him down and tags Shiloh. Shiloh with a knee to the head and punches before tagging Titus. Titus goes for an elbow drop, but Danny moves and gets the tag to TPT. Titus tags Shiloh, and TPT is cleaning house. Locker comes in and TPT rams Shiloh's head into Locker's chest. Titus tries to hit TPT, but TPT tries to attack him. Shiloh and Locker stop it. TPT and Danny throw Shiloh and Locker out of the ring and are all alone with Titus. After a couple punches back and forth, Danny hits Titus with a neckbreaker, and TPT goes up top for the Trailer Jack leg drop. TPT covers Titus for the three count!

WINNERS: TPT & DANNY by pinfall.

After the match, the whole locker room comes out! TPT goes back up top and hits another Trailer Jack leg drop. TPT gets on the mic and says Titus had given him heck since his dad died five months ago. He says one thing about Titus has always bothered him. He leaves the ring and comes back with clippers and cuts his hair. He says what the heck, he's given me heck for five months, and TPT hits another Trailer Jack leg drop off the top rope. Then he grabs the scissors and cuts more of his hair. Jim Cornette comes out and leads the fans in singing "na-na-na-na, hey, hey, hey, goodbye", then tells Titus Enterprises to take out the trash, and so nobody is called a liar, do it feet first.

 BRIAN'S TAKE: Wow, a lot of big news coming out of this Special. Michael Titus is gone from OVW, there seems to be some issues between "TerreMex", and OVWmania's "Most Improved Superstar of 2014" Award Winner Rump Thump earned a future TV Title shot. Most shocking is the team just named 2014 Tag Team of the Year by OVWmania was Michael Hayes & Mohamad Ali Vaez, and Ali, who said he was retiring due to his problems with concussions, returned to ruin Michael's shot at winning the OVW Heavyweight Title. Was this a plan all along? Did Revolver pay Ali off? We know Michael will be looking for answers this Wednesday night!
