OVW TV #815: "Who Got Fooled?"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, April 1, 2015. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 9AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Adam Revolver defends the OVW Television Title, "King of Knoxville" Shane Williams is in action with Vic the Bruiser in his corner, Mohamad Ali Vaez asks Eddie Diamond if he made a decision about forfeiting his match at SNS, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

The Congregation comes out and Rev. Stuart Miles says the good word is 'losers'. He says the Congregation is a bunch of losers and they haven't won many matches and are a bad team. APRIL FOOLS! He says they are the most dominant force in Ohio Valley Wrestling and will prove that tonight.
Elvis Pridemoore defeated Jade Dawson (w/"The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles & "Apostle" Jake Glasure). Jade had control with interference from Jake & Stu on the outside, but Elvis came back and hit the Hillbilly Driver for the 3.
After the match, Stu says this was one big joke. He tells Jade to go be healed by their champion of faith. He then tells Jake to get some redemption next.

Rump Thump defeated "Apostle" Jake Glasure (w/"The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles) in a good back-and-forth match. Jake hit a powerslam and locked in a bearhug, but Rump came back and hit the Thump after a distraction by Stu backfired.

"Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe defeated Dapper Dan. Dan took control after Howe landed on his bad knee and tried for the German Suplex. Howe fought out, hit his signature strumming fistdrop, and locked in the Whammy Bar for the submission.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Gilbert is the ring announcer.

Mohamad Ali Vaez & the Congregation come to the ring, and Ali sits and talks about giving Eddie Diamond a chance to forfeit his match at Saturday Night Special.
Eddie comes out and acts as if he will grab the mic from Ali, but locks him in the Cripwalk Crossface. The Congregation turns around and attacks Eddie.
Ali hits 2 of his patented neckbreakers and the double underhook DDT.

Randy Terrez defeated Adam Wylde by DQ. The match was back-and-forth when Terrez went for a foreign object. Mexicutioner ran out and started brawling with Terrez.
The locker room emptied to pull them apart and Jim Cornette also came out. He says this place obviously isn't big enough for both of them. At SNS, they will have an anything goes match, and the loser will leave OVW!

"The King of Knoxville" Shane Williams (w/Vic the Bruiser) defeated Rump Thump. Rump was in control and went up top, but Vic climbed up to the apron and shoved him off. Shane was able to recover and hit a flying fistdrop for the 3.
After the match, Vic attacked Rump and Shane went to give Rump a piledriver.
Randy Royal ran out with a baseball bat to run them off. He challenged them to a tag match at SNS, and Shane accepted, telling him he just signed their death warrant.

Danny Davis & Trailer Park Trash defeated Leon Shelly & J. Best by DQ when the War Machine attacked.
Several superstars came out and the War Machine retreated.
Jim Cornette came back out with Danny & Trash close behind. Trash had a kendo stick that he kept smacking across the announce table, and Danny had a sledgehammer. Cornette says the War Machine cowardly took off, but he has an idea. Great American Wrestling's Chris Lash has been asking about a main event for a live show in Knoxville on Friday, May 8. He says it will be the War Machine with Josh Ashcraft against Danny Davis & Trailer Park Trash with Jim Cornette in their corner, and they can bring a calculator to add up the combined ages of the three of them and to also count the knots they put on each of their heads after it's all said and done.

"Rudo" Raul LaMotta defeated Elvis Pridemoore after Elvis missed a leap on Raul, and Raul rolled him up with a handful of tights for the 3.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE MATCH: The Mexicutioner defeated Adam Revolver by DQ. Mex was on a roll and connected with a spear, but Randy Terrez interrupted the count and began to brawl with Mex again.
They fought to the back and Ryan Howe came out.
He tells Revolver that he escaped losing tonight and to him last week. Howe talked to the powers-that-be and has a TV Title match at SNS. Revolver goes to hit him with the title, but Howe ducks and takes Adam down. Revolver comes back and takes out Howe's bad knee and locks in a Figure-Four, telling Howe he will not walk out champion, and he won't be walking anywhere.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Trevor Steele defeated Dave-Lo. Trevor controlled most of the match. Dave-Lo got in a small rally, but Trevor caught him off the top rope and chokeslammed him for the 3. After the match, he continued to attack Dave-Lo.
The Assassin came out and had a face-off with Trevor, but nothing else transpired as Trevor left the ring.

"The War Machine": Big Jon & Eric Locker (w/Josh Ashcraft) defeated Eddie Diamond & Adam Wylde. Jon & Locker ran back in through the side entrance after their music played 3 times. After dominating most of the match and wearing out Eddie, Eddie got the hot tag to Wylde. Wylde hit some dropkicks and went up top, but was caught in the T-Bone Suplex by Locker for the 3.

Don't forget the SNS is this Saturday! Ali defends the OVW Heavyweight Title against Eddie Diamond, Adam Revolver defends the OVW TV Title against Ryan Howe, Randy Royal & Rump Thump face Vic the Bruiser & Shane Williams, Randy Terrez faces the Mexicutioner in an anything goes match where the loser must leave OVW, plus much more!

As always, thanks for reading!

  1. Ali Baez is going too far. Act or not, blasphemy is blasphemy.

  2. I agree, this is very poor taste on the part of OVW. I will not attend any more shows until this is halted.

  3. A lot of people are angry about this. Claiming to be our Saviour is taking it too far! I know about freedom of speech, but I will not pay to hear blasphemy.

  4. I'm sorry that the feud between Randy Terrez and Mexicutioner has come to this. I really don't want to see either of them leave.
