OVW TV #820: "Diamonds Are Forever"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, May 6, 2015. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, the War Machine is in action, King Shane Williams tries to make an example out of Dave-Lo, Gilbert Corsey interviews Jessie Belle and NEW OVW Heavyweight Champion Eddie Diamond, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Elvis Pridemoore defeated Jade Dawson. The Congregation tries to interfere, but Jade runs into Jake Glasure on the apron, and Elvis hits him with a Hillbilly Driver for 3.
"Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles is upset at Jade, saying it's his fault. He wants an opponent, and will show Jade how it's done.

"Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe defeated "Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles. Howe hits some atomic drops and a neckbreaker. Stu runs into Jade on the apron and Howe locks in the Whammy Bar for the tapout.
"Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles is upset at Jade again, saying that's twice he messed up. Next, Jake Glasure will get it done for the Congregation.

Adam Wylde defeated Jake Glasure. Jake had the early advantage, using his power to wear down Wylde. Wylde started to fire back, and Jake ran into Jade on the apron. Jake turned into a roundhouse kick from Wylde, and Wylde got the 3.
"Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles yells at Jade all the way to the back, saying it's all his fault.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Gilbert is the ring announcer.

A video is shown of Eddie Diamond's rise to the top from his win at the Nightmare Rumble, up to the win last week over Mohamad Ali Vaez that made him the NEW OVW Heavyweight Champion. Eddie then comes to the ring for an interview with Gilbert Corsey. After recapping the events that led him to this point, Eddie says he couldn't have done it without the fans. Gilbert says he is at the top of the mountain, and will have people gunning for him. Eddie understands that the boys in the back are coming for him, that's the name of the game. He says he will fight anyone in the back or around the world, they just have to come find him at the world famous Davis Arena, and Diamonds are forever.

The Mexicutioner defeated Jade Dawson (w/Jake Glasure & "Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles). Mexicutioner controlled most of the match, and put Jade away with a spinebuster and a spear.
After the match, Stu blames Jade for them losing the 3 matches earlier tonight, for letting a heathen like Eddie Diamond win the OVW Title, disgracing the name of the Congregation, and making Mohamad Ali Vaez leave to never return. He wants to know if Jade is still in this, and says the only way for him to show his loyalty is to get on his knees and kiss his feet. Jade says Stu should kiss his @**. Jade goes to leave, but he gets attacked from behind by Jake. Jake hits some big powerslams and leaves him laying.
Stu says the Congregation will not have to worry about anything being Jade's fault again!

Gilbert Corsey brings out Jessie Belle. He says they are trying to upstart the Women's division again, but he wants to ask about her relationship with Ryan Howe.
Adam Revolver makes his way out and says she shouldn't make a mistake being with Howe. Jessie says they are just friends. Adam says if they are friends, how about the two of them be friends, he has a six-pack and they can go hang out. Jessie says she doesn't need a pale, pasty, past his prime person like him. Adam grabs her by the arm, but is chased away by Howe.
Howe says he didn't have to defend the TV Title tonight, because he will defend against Revolver Saturday.

"Rudo" Raul LaMotta defeats Leon Shelly. Raul controlled early and hit some chops. Leon fired back with dropkicks and rolled Raul up, but Raul rolled through and held the tights for 3. After the match, Leon was trying to tell the ref about having his tights held, but was ambushed from behind by Raul. Raul hit 2 DDT's and pulled out the chain, but was ran off by Adam Wylde and a steel chair.
Adam said this was the last time Raul would attack from behind, and this is the last time he would run away from a fight, because they have a match at the Saturday Night Special.

King Shane Williams (w/Vic the Bruiser) defeated Dave-Lo. Shane controlled most of the match, especially with outside help from Vic. Dave tried to rally a bit, even hitting a missile dropkick, but went up top again. Vic got on the apron, but Dave kicked him off. Shane recovered and leaped and kicked Dave in the head off the top rope. Shane then hit the flying fistdrop for the 3. After the match, Vic & Shane continued to beat on Dave. Mexicutioner came out and fought with them, but got double-teamed.
Randy Royal finally returned with a crutch in hand, and ran them off. He said there's no need for excuses why he hasn't been here, but he knows they had something to do with it. Come Saturday, it's butt-kicking time as Randy & Mex face Shane & Vic.

"The War Machine": Big Jon & Eric Locker (w/Josh Ashcraft) defeated Dre Blitz & Elvis Pridemoore. Jon & Eric dominated, and Jon hit a huge chokeslam on Blitz for the 3.
After the match, Josh Ashcraft sent a message to Danny Davis, Trailer Park Trash, & Jim Cornette, saying they would kill them at the Saturday Night Special.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

During intermission, Trevor Steele came out and challenged the Assassin to a match at Saturday Night Special. Assassin accepts.

OVW Heavyweight Champion Eddie Diamond defeated Trevor Steele by pinfall.

Don't forget that the Saturday Night Special is this Saturday, May 9! Jim Cornette, Danny Davis, & Trailer Park Trash go up against Josh Ashcraft & the War Machine, Ryan Howe defends the OVW TV Title against Adam Revolver, Randy Royal & the Mexicutioner face Vic the Bruiser & King Shane Williams, plus more!

As always, thanks for reading!
