OVW TV 1044: Who Ran "oVe"r Dimes?

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, August 14, 2019. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and on the OVW Network. In this episode, the TV Title gauntlet featuring TV Champion Jay Bradley, Justin Smooth & Adam Revolver face Corey Storm and a partner of his choosing, plus more!

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Big Zo (w/"The Legacy of Brutality": Jay Bradley, Ca$h Flo, Hy Zaya, & Josh Ashcraft) defeats "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson. A total domination for Zo. He hits several splashes and slams, and though Sam hits a kick to the head, it's not enough as Zo release slams him and hits a big splash on the mat for the 3.

Ca$h Flo (w/"The Legacy of Brutality": Jay Bradley, Big Zo, Hy Zaya, & Josh Ashcraft) defeats Lee Holliday. Ca$h with the control early and hard chops in the corner. He rakes Lee's face across the top rope. Off the ropes, Lee leapfrogs and sunset flips Ca$h for 1. Ca$h with another hard chop in the ropes and throws him face first in the turnbuckle. He stomps on his face and headbutts him. Ca$h misses a legdrop, then an elbow drop. Lee starts to fire back. He dropkicks him into the corner and Hy trips him while Josh distracts the ref on the apron. He turns into a running cross body splash from Ca$h for the 3.

"The Real Deal" Randall Floyd defeats Nigel (w/Chace). Floyd controls early, Nigel tries to get in some offense as Chace causes a distraction, but it's not enough as Floyd works over the arm and even though Nigel offers him money out of his wallet, Floyd locks him up in a cross armbreaker for the tapout.

TELEVISION TITLE GAUNTLET:
Dustin Jackson defeats Chace. Chace offers a handshake, but Dustin smacks it away. Dustin with an arm drag as Chace charges. They lock back up into the corner and around the ring. Dustin with a dropkick, but Chace pulls him into the middle turnbuckle and hits him. He hits a running uppercut and snapmares him. Kick to the face. Dustin back with a shoulder to the midsection. He goes up top, leaps over Chace, then hits a knee to the face for the 3.
Dapper Dan defeats Dustin Jackson. Dan drops a glove and tries to pick up Dustin with a Death Valley Driver. Dustin slides off and hits Dan with the "B-R-O" in the corner. He dropkicks Dan and Randall Floyd comes out distracting him. Dan rolls him up from behind for the 3.
Dapper Dan defeats "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd. Dustin is still arguing with Floyd and Dan rolls Floyd up for a quick 3 as well!
Jay Bradley (w/"The Legacy of Brutality": Hy Zaya, Ca$h Flo, Josh Ashcraft, & Big Zo) (c) defeats Dapper Dan. Josh grabs a mic and says he used to travel the roads with Dan and Dan was once the best part of the Legacy of Brutality. Dan says it's good to see them, how about getting the band back together. The L.O.B. all give a thumbs down and Jay takes Dan down with a Boomstick for the 3.
Jay Bradley (w/"The Legacy of Brutality": Hy Zaya, Ca$h Flo, Josh Ashcraft, & Big Zo) (c) defeats Leonis Khan. Leonis comes out on fire hitting Jay, chopping him, and delivering a spear. Josh gets on the apron to cause a distraction, allowing Jay to roll Leonis up with his feet on the ropes for the 3.
After the match, the L.O.B. attack Leonis. Maximus Khan runs out and fires away, but soon the numbers game catches up and the L.O.B. beat both members of Kings Ransom down and leave them laying.

FATAL 4 WAY QUALIFYING MATCH FOR THE $100,000 LADDER MATCH AT FIGHT FOR FREEDOM: Dimes defeats Shiloh Jonze, Drew Hernandez, & "Mr. Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (w/Mrs. Marvelous). Melvin goes after Shiloh and Shiloh runs out. Drew goes after Dimes and Dimes fights back. He goes for a baseball slide, but Drew moves and throws him off the announce table. Shiloh & Drew work over Melvin together in the corner, but Drew shoves Shiloh off a pin attempt. Dimes is back in and goes after Drew & Shiloh. Dimes hits Shiloh with a fameasser. Shiloh fights with Melvin as Dimes kicks Drew in the corner. Melvin throws Shiloh in the corner and hits him. Drew throws Dimes from the ring, then knees Melvin in the gut. He shoulders Melvin, and now Dimes is back in. Drew slams him. Shiloh rolls Dimes up for 2. Drew throws Melvin from the ring now. Shiloh slams Dimes and again Drew throws him off a pin. Drew then tries to pin. They argue as Melvin gets in. Drew kicks Melvin as Shiloh gets rolled up in a small package from Dimes for 2. Drew goes for the Mayan Apocalypse on Dimes, but Dimes blocks it. He goes for it again, but Dimes hits him into the ropes for a 619. Dimes dropkicks Drew and hits a fameasser, then goes after Shiloh in the corner. Shiloh chops Melvin, then hangs Dimes up across the top rope. Drew & Shiloh double team Dimes. Drew flings Dimes across the ring, then clotheslines Shiloh. Melvin with a shoulder tackle to Drew and Russian leg sweep, but Shiloh breaks the pin. Dimes with another fameasser on Shiloh, but Shiloh slams him from the air on a headscissors attempt. Shiloh with a Shiloh-roonie, but dances into Melvin who fires away on him and clotheslines him out of the ring. Melvin stomps him on the outside. Back inside, Drew hits Dimes and goes for the Mayan Apocalypse. Dimes reverses into a Change Maker for the 3!

Dimes is shown laid out in the back with oVe spray painted across his back!

Gilbert Corsey announces that two more men have been revealed to be at Fight for Freedom. Rhino & Chavo Guerrero will be at Fourth Street Live!

"Category 5" Corey Storm & "The Double R Superstar" Randy Royal defeat "The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth & Adam Revolver (w/Shannon the Dude). All 4 men go at it with Randy getting the better of Adam, chopping him and taking him to the corner. Corey tags in and takes it to Adam, kicking him in the head. He sends Smooth out as well. Corey & Randy act like they are going to dive out, but Smooth & Adam move away. They head toward the back, but Randy & Corey bring them back. Randy hits Adam around ringside off the barricades and tries to pin. Smooth gets in to kick Randy, but kicks Adam instead by accident. Randy with another roll-up for 2. He chops Adam and tags Corey. Corey with a kick and then chases Shannon around ringside. He connects with a trouble in paradise to Adam. He throws him off the ropes, but Adam pulls him down by his hair. He tags Smooth. Corey comes back against Smooth, hitting him in the corner and then hitting a reverse enziguri. Corey dives out and takes out Adam. Smooth hits him and rolls him back in, but Corey comes back again with a dropkick, then connects with the Eye of the Storm for the 3.
After the match, Randy grabs a mic. "Is this thing on?" He tells Corey he walked through the doors in 1999, which makes him an OVW Original. There's certain privileges to that. He is issuing a challenge to Corey. The challenge is to bring back the glory and prestige to that title at Fight for Freedom. He asks if Corey's up to the challenge, and Corey says he is.

This ended the TV taping.

Gilbert Corsey announces that Sinn Bodhi will defend the Anarchy Title at Fight for Freedom against Amon!

DARK MATCH: DL3 & Big D defeat KTD & Vineeshhh. Vineeshhh with an armbar. DL3 says how about a dance off? Vineeshhh clotheslines him and hits a back elbow. DL3 tags Big D. KTD tags in. He kicks Big D, but D & DL3 take control. They hit KTD in the corner. D slams him and stomps on his abdomen. Off the ropes, KTD with a headscissors into the corner. Both men tag out. Vineeshhh clotheslines DL3 and hits him with a leg lariat. He charges him in the corner, but DL3 moves and Vineeshhh hits the ringpost. DL3 rolls him up with his feet on the ropes for the 3.

DARK MATCH: Maximus Khan defeats Colton Cage. Khan with a side headlock. Some powerful clotheslines, and Cage rolls to the outside. Khan chases him around and back in. Cage tries to drop an elbow, but no one's home. Cage with a few shots, but Khan back with a spear for the 3.
