OVW TV 1057: Storm & Dimes Fly High

This is the OVW Report for Tuesday, November 12, 2019. OVW can be seen LIVE at 8PM ET on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area as well as Youtube! It replays again on Saturdays at 11AM and 9PM. You can also find OVW TV on the OVW Network. In this episode, the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles are on the line, Anarchy Champion Amon is in action, plus much more!

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

KTD & Steve Michaels defeat AJZ & EC Diamond. AJZ with a huge hip toss to KTD across the ring. He tags in Steve. Steve kicks him and clubs him across the back, but AJZ dropkicks him into the ropes and tags EC. They go for a double suplex on Steve, but Steve reverses them. He chops EC, and flings him across the ring. He locks in the bearhug, but EC grabs the ropes for the break. EC off the ropes, hits Steve with a hurricanrana. He tags AJZ and they hit Steve with a double suplex. EC fights with Steve while AJZ hits his finisher on KTD, who is not the legal man. Steve clubs EC down on the outside, then gets in and rolls AJZ up with a handful of tights for the 3.

"Mr. Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (w/Mrs. Marvelous) defeats Big D (w/DL3). DL3 trips Melvin up allowing Big D to hit him from behind and jump on him across the middle rope. He slams Melvin and goes up to the middle rope. He goes for a double axehandle, but Melvin hits him in the gut. He clotheslines him and throws him into the corner. He runs in with a splash. DL3 gets on the apron, but Melvin knocks him down. He shoulder tackles D, then hits the Marvelous Leg Sweep for the 3.

Dustin Jackson defeats Chace. Chace smacks Dustin, then throws him in the corner. He charges, but Dustin moves and hits a back elbow. Chace with a couple hip tosses. Dustin back with a slam and goes up top, but Chace catches him. He goes for a superplex, but Dustin hits him off. Chace hits the ropes though to knock Dustin down. Chace clubs him and locks in a sleeper. Dustin runs him into the corner and dropkicks Chace in the face. He dropkicks him in the corner and charges again, but Chace with a kick to the face. Chace flies off, but Dustin catches him. Chace slides out, but Dustin hits him with a Michinoku Driver. Dustin goes up top and flies off with the splash for the 3.

"Zero Gravity" AJ Daniels defeats Franco Varga. Franco shoves AJ across the ring twice, then locks up the arm. He pounds him on the mat, then chops him in the corner. He charges AJ, but AJ with a kick to the head. He delivers a moonsault and runs off the ropes, but Franco clotheslines him down. Franco with a knee to the face, but AJ gets his foot on the ropes. Franco takes him down with a hard right, but picks him up at 2. He goes for a moonsault, but AJ moves. AJ goes up top and hits a 450 splash for the 3.

We start off with a video of Justin Smooth talking to his mother as he enters the arena. He comes across Leonis Khan. Leonis asks to speak to "Momma Smooth" and tells them both at the same time that he is going to kick Smooth's ***! We find out that at Christmas Chaos, it will be Smooth vs. Leonis for the Heavyweight Title, and every match that night will be in the steel cage!

Luscious Lawrence vs. "The Indian Lion" Mahabali Shera.
Lawrence with a quick roll-up and crucifix pin attempt. Shera catches him with a slam. He chops Lawrence and chases him around the ring. Lawrence kicks him as he gets back in, but Shera quickly regains control with some powerful clotheslines, then hits the Low Down for the 3.
WINNER: SHERA by pinfall.

Drew Hernandez comes out and says everyone is embarrassed by Tony Gunn's actions for throwing the TV Title off the bridge. AJZ had an opportunity to fix things last week, but failed. The line starts with him tonight. Dean Hill is allowing any former TV champion the same opportunity to try and get back at Tony Gunn for his actions. He says Gunn crapped all over his accomplishments from the past year and challenges him to a match right now!
Drew Hernandez vs. "Shotgun" Tony Gunn.
Drew goes after Gunn and they start brawling. Gunn takes out the leg and pulls him outside. They exchange shots with Drew hitting Gunn's face off the apron. He rolls him in and Gunn kicks the knee. He hits Drew and goes for the knee off the top, but Drew hits him in the gut. He shoulder tackles him twice and goes for the Mayan Apocalypse. Gunn slides out, but Drew stomps him. He picks him up by his beard and smacks Gunn in the face. He goes for the Apocalypse again, but Gunn hits the Killshot for the 3.
WINNER: GUNN by pinfall.

Ashton Cove is in the back talking to Valerie Verman asking her who Tony Gunn thinks he is. Gunn shows up in the back following his match and knocks Cove out with a Killshot. We then see Cove back up a little later complaining that it's Drew Hernandez's fault. Drew also enters and big boots Cove down.

Dimone vs. Leonis Khan.
Dimone with a side headlock. Leonis fires back with some overhead suplex tosses. Justin Smooth comes out and joins commentary. Leonis with a long-standing vertical suplex. Maximus Khan comes out and gets in Smooth's face. Smooth stomps on Maximus' bad foot and takes him down on the outside. Leonis gets distracted briefly with Dimone hitting him from behind. He takes Dimone down as Smooth gets in. He goes for Street Justice, but Leonis ducks and hits his leaping clothesline. He clotheslines Smooth out of the ring, then spears Dimone for the 3.
WINNER: LEONIS by pinfall.

Gilbert Corsey is in the ring. He says at Christmas Chaos, there will be a reverse rumble with the femme fatales. The winner will be the first to escape the cage by climbing out of it. They will be crowned #1 contender. Megan Bayne comes out and says she was champion and should be first in line to get a shot to reclaim her title. Why is she being thrust into this match? Max the Impaler's music hits and she comes out and shoves Megan in the face. Megan takes the fight to her and knocks her out of the ring!

Steven Rummage is out to talk about his win over Shannon the Dude. STD & Adam Revolver come out and Adam challenges him to a title shot. Amon's music hits and he says if he wants a title shot, he will face him in a hardcore rules match right now!
ANARCHY TITLE MATCH: Adam Revolver vs. Amon (c).
Adam hits Amon with several weapons to no avail. Amon hits him with a chair and takes him down with an STH. During the match, Shannon the Dude takes out Steven Rummage from behind at ringside. Amon licks his hand and smears it over Adam's face and counts to 3 himself.
WINNER: AMON by pinfall.
After the match, Rummage says that if STD wants a rematch, it will happen at Christmas Chaos in the steel cage!

SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Dimes & "The Prince of Flight" Corey Storm vs. "The Legacy of Brutality": Ca$h Flo & Jay Bradley (w/Josh Ashcraft) (c).
The ref tosses Hy Zaya & Big Zo out before the match. Storm & Dimes take the fight to Ca$h & Jay early. They roll out and Dimes & Storm fly out on them. Back inside, Storm gets double teamed in the corner. They go for a double suplex, but Storm knees out and dropkicks their legs out from under them. Dimes & Storm with a double dropkick to both men. Ca$h & Jay come back and take Dimes & Storm out on the outside. They work over Dimes and Ca$h hits a hard chop. He squeezes Dimes in a bearhug. Dimes fights out and avoids elbow drops from Ca$h & Jay, but Jay gets up and takes Storm off the apron and takes Dimes down again. Ca$h & Jay with a double flapjack to Dimes. Ca$h goes up top and misses a legdrop! Jay & Storm are tagged. Storm with a dropkick and headscissors. Ca$h charges, Storm moves, and Ca$h splashes Jay by accident. Storm with a bulldog for 2 as Ca$h breaks the pin. Dimes hits Ca$h with an enziguri. They dump Ca$h out of the ring and Storm runs into a choke from Jay. Storm kicks him off. Dimes in with a Change Maker, followed by the Eye of the Storm and a 3!
WINNERS: DIMES & STORM by pinfall.

This ended the TV taping.
