OVW TV 1074: Match 2 for Youtoo

This is the OVW Report for Tuesday, March 10, 2020. OVW TV can be seen LIVE at 8PM ET on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area as well as Youtube! OVW Overdrive can be seen on Saturdays at 11AM. You can also find OVW TV on the OVW Network.

In this episode, Dimes defends the Rush Division Title against William Lutz, we hear from the NEW Heavyweight Champion Tony Gunn, plus more!

Here we go...

OVW Overdrive (Airing Saturdays at 11AM):

Dr. Ted McNaler & Bruce Snyder are on commentary, and McNaler is also the ring announcer.

The Haitian Sensation defeats The Mysterious Movado. They dance, and get the ref involved too. Movado with a lot of chops and hits in the corner. Haitian back with a clothesline and some kicks. Off the ropes, they double clothesline each other. Haitian with a spin kick to the face for the 3.

Dustin Jackson defeats "Zero Gravity" AJ Daniels. They lock up in the corner. Off the ropes, Dustin plows AJ down. AJ back with a dropkick and a pele kick. AJ leaps in from the apron onto Dustin for 2. Off the ropes, Dustin catches AJ on his shoulders and hits a huge Gut Check. AJ fires back, but runs into a huge dropkick from Dustin for 2. AJ catches Dustin with a kick to the face. He charges with a leg lariat in the corner. He kicks Dustin in the knee to take him down and then delivers the Countdown Kicks. He hits the Zero Gravity Kick, then goes up top. He misses the 450 splash, then Dustin goes up and hits the top rope splash for the 3.

"The Master of the Chicago Bearhug" Steve Michaels defeats "Livewire" KTD. KTD hits Steve, but just gets growled at. Steve flings him across the ring and chops him. Steve has him up, but KTD slides off and kicks at his massive legs. Steve grabs him by the throat and hits him in the corner. He runs in with a splash and hits another chop. Steve throws him from corner to corner. KTD tries to escape by going to the top rope, but Steve grabs him and slams him down to the mat. He locks in the Chicago Bearhug and KTD passes out.

"Mr. Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (w/Mrs. Marvelous) defeats "The Nephilim" D'mone Solavino. D'mone with a side headlock. Melvin shoves him off the ropes and shoulder blocks. Melvin takes him down with a slam. He misses a charge and D'mone hits him and throws him off the ropes. Melvin reverses, but D'mone comes back with an inverted atomic drop. D'mone hits Melvin and goes up top. He jumps off, but Melvin hits him with a suplex. D'mone back with a backdrop and goes up top again. Mrs. Marvelous shoves him off and Melvin hits the Marvelous Leg Sweep for the 3.

"The Prince of Flight" Corey Storm defeats Gustavo. Quick exchanges early. Gustavo knocks Storm to the outside and dives out on him. Back inside, Gustavo hits a running forearm in the corner and sets Storm up top. He goes for a superplex, but Storm hits him off and goes for the Eye of the Storm. Gustavo moves and rolls him up for 2. Several quick pinfall exchanges for 2's. Storm hits him in the corner and kicks him. Snap suplex for 2. Storm charges in the corner, but Gustavo flips him to the apron. Storm with a kick to the head, then connects with the Eye of the Storm for the 3.

Bryan Kennison is about to interview Maximus Khan backstage when Leonis Khan interrupts. He tells Maximus not to turn his back on him. He had to throw in the towel. Maximus says his arm was still up. Leonis says he has a family to think about. He just had a brain tumor removed on his birthday and didn't want to see the same thing happen to him in the middle of the ring against Tony Gunn over a title. Maximus says he is a king. Leonis says pride is a hell of a drug.

Tony Gunn comes out and grabs a mic. He has Brittany Devore read a card that says he is "our" OVW Heavyweight Champion and the best at what he does inside the ring. Gunn says he took Maximus Khan on inside the ring at his best, with Khan at 150%, and now he is the new Heavyweight Champion whether you like it or not.
He gets interrupted by Maximus. Maximus says Gunn did not beat him. His older brother jumped the gun and threw in the towel, but his arm was still up. He believes he has the right to a rematch. Gunn says towel or not, he won fair and square. He says Maximus doesn't want this match right now, he has broken ribs and needs to heal. Maximus says he wants the match right now.
Dean Hill comes out and says he knows Maximus is fired up, but he is not 100%. He's not even 70%. Leonis Khan comes out.
He says Maximus has a family, not to do this right now. Dean says he has an idea. He wants Maximus to wait a few more weeks and heal up, and on the Youtoo America premiere episode on March 31, it will be Maximus & Gunn for the Heavyweight Title! Gunn says one more thing...he throws a towel at Maximus and says he might need it!

Luscious Lawrence vs. Drew Hernandez.
Drew mocks Luscious and Luscious attacks him from behind. Side headlocks exchanged. Drew with some slams and goes for a tackle, but Luscious moves the ref in the way. Luscious claws his eyes and boots him. He hits a blockbuster. Drew catches Luscious with a spinebuster, then hits some shoulder tackles. Drew goes for the Mayan Apocalypse, but Luscious blocks it and shoves him into the ref. Luscious claws his eyes again and hits a powerslam. He follows it up with the Luscious Legdrop for the 3.
WINNER: LUSCIOUS by pinfall.

Chace & Nigel vs. Anthony Catena & Tony Bizo.
Totally one-sided as Bizo & Catena control the entire match. Chace & Nigel try to cheat by using the croquet mallet, but Nigel accidentally knocks out Chace, then turns into a double Bizo Bottom from Catena & Bizo for the 3.
WINNERS: CATENA & BIZO by pinfall.

RUSH CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: William Lutz vs. Dimes (c).
Quick offense early. Lutz knocks Dimes down and he rolls out. Lutz jumps to the apron and kicks Dimes in the face. He goes for a moonsault, but Dimes moves and super kicks him in the face. He rolls Lutz in and leaps in with a legdrop. Lutz comes back with a cross body and slam. He goes up, but Dimes clubs him in the back. Dimes with a backdrop off the top for 2.
Dimes sets up, but music hits, and it's the big masked man again. He gets in the ring and chokeslams Lutz as Dimes runs for the hills.
NO CONTEST, STILL RUSH CHAMPION: DIMES.

"The Tate Twins": Brandon & Brent vs. OVW Heavyweight Champion "Shotgun" Tony Gunn & "The Hammer" Randall Floyd.
Brent is attacked by Gunn before the bell. Gunn & Floyd club him and keep him grounded on their side of the ring. Floyd knocks Brandon off the apron. Brent goes for a tag, but Floyd catches him. Brent plants him with a DDT. Floyd tags Gunn, and Gunn knocks Brandon off the apron again before Brent can tag. Brent avoids a charge from Gunn and delivers a kick. Blind tag by Brandon. He sunset flips in as Brent kicks Gunn in the back of the head for 2. Tag to Floyd. Kick to the head and Gunn looks displeased on the apron. Gunn jumps off as Floyd gets rolled up for the 3!
WINNERS: TATES by pinfall.

This ended the TV taping.
