OVW TV #754: "2014 Nightmare Rumble"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, January 29, 2014. This episode can be seen online starting tomorrow at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, 20 men compete in the Nightmare Rumble for a shot at the OVW Heavyweight Title at this Saturday's Saturday Night Special!

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Ted McNaler vs. Michael Hayes.

Adam Revolver & Mohamad Ali Vaez came to the ring with their partners, but both left before the match started. Ted attacks Michael from behind to start the match. He hits him with several stomps and forearms. He also hits a couple suplexes, but Michael reverses one and then hits the headbutts to the chest of Ted. Ted rolls under the ropes to the outside of the apron. As Michael goes to grab him, Ted pulls his head down across the top rope. He hits Michael with a spear and gets the 3 using the ropes for leverage.

WINNER: McNALER by pinfall.

Ray Lyn vs. Jessie Belle.

A quick back and forth match. Jessie Belle avoids the twerking of Ray Lyn, and hits her with a spinning Widow's Peak for the 3.

WINNER: JESSIE BELLE by pinfall.

THE 2014 OVW NIGHTMARE RUMBLE.

The first two entrants are Flash Flanagan & Trailer Park Trash.

Out third is Jamin Olivencia, and he is followed by Dylan Bostic. Raul LaMotta is out 5th and immediately he gets the attention of Flash & Trash. They team up to eliminate him as the 6th man comes out, Tony Gunn. RAUL is ELIMINATED. 

Gunn sneaks up behind Trash and dumps him out right after the elimination of Raul. TRASH is ELIMINATED. 

Clint Poe is out 7th, followed by the surprise return of Randy Royal.

Jay Bradley comes out 9th, but doesn't enter the ring. He stays on the outside and warms up with Mongo the Cut Man.

Ted McNaler is the 10th entrant.

Vaughn Lilas makes a surprise return as the 11th entrant. He takes out Flash pretty quickly. FLASH is ELIMINATED. Ryan Howe is the 12th entrant and when he sees Jay Bradley, who is still on the outside after all this time, he chases him into the ring. Howe & Jay both eliminate each other at the same time. HOWE is ELIMINATED, BRADLEY is ELIMINATED. On the floor, Jay locks the rear naked chokehold on Howe again.

Eddie Diamond is #13, and Shiloh Jonze is #14. Flash & Trash run out to the ring with kendo sticks and Poe, Gunn, & Shiloh all eliminate themselves running away from them. POE is ELIMINATED, GUNN is ELIMINATED, SHILOH is ELIMINATED. 

Mohamad Ali Vaez is #15 and chases McNaler all around the ring. Lilas dumps out Royal. ROYAL is ELIMINATED. Bodyguy is #16. As soon as he enters, Ali is waiting and throws him right back out the other side of the ring. BODYGUY is ELIMINATED. Adam Revolver is #17 and helps McNaler against Ali, eventually knocking Ali out of the ring. ALI is ELIMINATED. Jamin hits a Standing O on McNaler and clotheslines Adam to the outside. REVOLVER is ELIMINATED. 

Johnny Spade returns as entrant #18.

Michael Hayes is #19 and goes after McNaler. Revolver runs back out to ringside and saves McNaler from being eliminated and helps eliminate Hayes. HAYES is ELIMINATED. 

The final entrant is Melvin Maximus. Bodyguy comes to ringside and roots for Melvin, putting on Melvin's robe, and offering him a handshake. Melvin falls for it, and Bodyguy pulls him out of the ring. MELVIN is ELIMINATED. The Assassin's music hits and he comes out and clotheslines Bodyguy into next week. Jamin tosses out McNaler. McNALER is ELIMINATED. Jamin also gets rid of EFD. DIAMOND is ELIMINATED. Spade & Jamin shake hands and decide to team up to eliminate Bostic. BOSTIC is ELIMINATED. Lilas charges Spade, but Spade moves and throws Lilas out. LILAS is ELIMINATED. It's down to Spade & Jamin. Timmy Danger comes running out to the ring, distracting Jamin, and Spade tosses Jamin out from behind! JAMIN is ELIMINATED.

WINNER of the 2014 NIGHTMARE RUMBLE: JOHNNY SPADE.

Marcus Anthony comes out and Danger is excited that it will be Spade vs. Marcus at the Special on Saturday. Spade all of a sudden superkicks Marcus out of the ring, and Danger is shocked. Marcus is angry and the fans cheer for Spade to end the show.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Roberto De Luna vs. Elvis Pridemoore.

De Luna atatcks Elvis and takes it to him. Elvis starts to fire back, and Roberto flings Elvis over the top rope which is an automatic disqualification.

WINNER: ELVIS by DQ.

Marcus Anthony (w/Timmy Danger) vs. Mohamad Ali Vaez (w/Michael Hayes).

A really good match. Marcus powers Ali down early. Ali targets Marcus' leg and tries to make him tap to the Figure 4. Danger keeps jumping on the apron and distracting the referee. Ali hits his neckbreaker drop finisher, but Marcus kicks out. Marcus ends up catching Ali in the Crimson Omen and Ali passes out.

WINNER: MARCUS by submission.

Don't forget the next Saturday Night Special is THIS Saturday! Marcus Anthony defends the OVW Heavyweight Title against Johnny Spade, and Mohamad Ali Vaez & Michael Hayes defend the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles against the Mobile Homers. The team that wins gets the tag titles, the person pinned is FIRED!
