OVW TV #757: "Preparing For An E-Town Beatdown?"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, February 19, 2014. This episode can be seen online starting tomorrow at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Dylan Bostic & the Mexicutioner are in action, Melvin Maximus defends the OVW TV Title, the Marauders are in tag team action, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"The Party Starter" Bud Dwight vs. "The Double R Superstar" Randy Royal.
Dwight wants Randy to party, and Randy does a little Gangnam Style move. Once they lock up, Randy hits Dwight with a reverse Russian leg sweep for 2. He hits Dwight with a knee to the face and clotheslines him down for another 2. Dwight comes back with a clothesline and a high knee, but Randy catches him with a backslide pin for the 3.
WINNER: ROYAL by pinfall.

"The Marauders": Nick Dumeyer & "Rudo" Raul LaMotta vs. Elvis Pridemoore & Leon Shelly.
Raul & Dumeyer attack Leon & Elvis from behind. Leon is worked over with chops and headbutts as Raul & Dumeyer argue with each other. Raul gets distracted by Trailer Park Trash at ringside and Leon tags Elvis. Elvis ends up rolling up Raul for the 3.
WINNERS: ELVIS & LEON by pinfall.

Aaron Sky vs. Vaughn Lilas.
Lilas & Sky exchange armbars. Lilas chops Sky, slams him, but misses a legdrop. Sky dropkicks him twice, then hits a double axehandle as he springboards off the top rope. Lilas catches him with another vicious chop and looks like he is setting up for a reverse DDT. Sky slides out and rolls Lilas up to get the 3.
WINNER: SKY by pinfall.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on OVW's official website late Thursday afternoon/evening at www.ovwrestling.com/tv and on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM with replays on Wednesdays currently airing at 7PM (check local listings).

Gilbert Corsey, Dean Hill, & Michael Titus are all on commentary with Shannon the Dude as the ring announcer. A special guest was in attendance tonight as the punter for the Indianapolis Colts, Pat McAfee, appeared in the crowd at the Davis Arena to watch some great OVW action.

Marcus Anthony (w/Timmy Danger) vs. Robbie Walker.
Robbie tries to dropkick Marcus, but it doesn't even faze him. Marcus drop slams him off his shoulders. Timmy tells him to lock it, and Marcus puts Robbie in the Crimson Omen. Robbie goes out.
WINNER: MARCUS by submission.
Marcus doesn't let go of the hold and Jamin Olivencia runs out with a steel chair. He blasts Marcus in the back as Timmy rolls out of the ring. Marcus lets go of Robbie, but the chair doesn't seem to faze him, either. Marcus is angry and charges at Jamin, but Jamin sidesteps him and Marcus flies out of the ring. Jamin wants a piece of Marcus, but Timmy keeps Marcus from getting back in the ring.

Adam Revolver vs. Eddie F. Diamond.
A back and forth match, but in the end, EFD hit Adam's head into the top turnbuckle while perched on the top rope, and then flew down with a Soulja Boy Shuffle for the 3.
WINNER: EFD by pinfall.

The Bodyguy vs. "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe.
Bodyguy attacks Howe and puts him in a chinlock. Howe back with forearms, an atomic drop, and an uppercut. Bodyguy rolls under the ropes. As Howe goes after him, Bodyguy pulls his head down across the top rope. Bodyguy goes up top and misses a forearm drop. Howe locks in an armbreaker and gets the tapout.
WINNER: HOWE by submission.

Backstage, Jessie Belle is getting her knee looked at by Chris Sharpe, saying she was clipped by the masked man coming out of the gym, but she still wants to compete and has a doctor's note clearing her. Sharpe says her knee doesn't appear to show any swelling and her papers look legit.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: J. Best vs. "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (c).
Best has a pose off with Melvin. He then goes after him, but runs into a brick wall twice as Melvin shoulder blocks him into the ropes. Best tries to charge him again, but Melvin sidesteps him and Best runs back into the bearhug and is forced to tap.
WINNER and STILL OVW TV CHAMPION: MELVIN by submission.
After the match, the Bodyguy comes out and says that all he can think about is the OVW Television Title. He says that's why he lost earlier, because he never loses. He wants another shot. Melvin asks him what's in it for him. Bodyguy goes through a list of things and says "I could dress like a girl". As soon as he says that, Melvin says deal. Bodyguy looks shocked and at the Saturday Night Special, if Bodyguy fails to win the TV Title, he must wear a dress!

"The Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling" Dylan Bostic & "The Mexicutioner" Robo De Luna vs. Elvis Pridemoore & Leon Shelly.
Bostic & Mexicutioner attack Leon & Elvis from behind. Dylan tosses Elvis from the ring to the floor and Leon gets worked over. He is finished off by an impressive double team move that saw a Mexicutioner spinebuster into a Bostic backstabber for the 3.
WINNERS: BOSTIC & MEXICUTIONER by pinfall.
After the match, Gilbert interviews Bostic & Mexicutioner. He says they have what they want, a tag team title match at the Saturday Night Special. Bostic says that Michael Hayes was taken out, and then he beat Ali fair and square in the middle of the ring last week. He says that there is a 30-day limit on defending the titles and if they don't show up, they should be stripped of the titles and be given to him & Mexicutioner. Gilbert says they caught up with Michael Hayes earlier and tells him to watch the screen. Michael says he is out and not sure if he'll be back in time to defend the titles. If he can't make it back, they better believe he'll be after them when he returns. Bostic doesn't buy it and yells "Who Sucks Now?". Mexicutioner says something all in Spanish again.

"The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stu Miles comes to the ring once again. He says the cleansing is coming and may peace be with you.

"The Marauders": Shiloh Jonze & Clint Poe (w/Tony Gunn, "Rudo" Raul LaMotta, & Nick Dumeyer) vs. Deonta Davis & "The Party Starter" Bud Dwight.
Marauders attack Deonta & Dwight from behind. Deonta is worked over until he finally gets a tag to Dwight. Shiloh charges at him, but Dwight moves. Poe charges also, but Dwight moves again, and Poe squashes Shiloh in the corner. Dwight goes off the ropes, but is grabbed by Raul. Shiloh gets on the top rope, and Poe throws Dwight into Shiloh's knees. Poe picks Dwight up and Shiloh jumps off faceplanting Dwight into the mat for the 3.
WINNERS: MARAUDERS by pinfall.
After the match, they beat on Dwight & Deonta more, hitting them with a kendo stick of their own. Flash & Trash run out with their own kendo sticks, running the Marauders off. They are interviewed and plug their match in E-Town this Saturday where the kendo sticks will be on a pole.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

"The Mexicutioner" Robo De Luna (w/"The Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling" Dylan Bostic) vs. Mohamad Ali Vaez.
Mexicutioner powers Ali down and uses his strength to keep Ali grounded for most of the match. Ali begins to fire back, but gets hit from behind after he knocks Bostic off the apron. Mexicutioner goes for the spear, but Ali spins around him and rolls him up for the 3.
WINNER: ALI by pinfall.

This episode of OVW TV will be up online tomorrow. As always, thanks for reading!
