OVW TV 1018: oVe in OVW

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, February 13, 2019. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and online at OVW TV. In this episode, the Television Title is on the line in the gauntlet, , plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"Kings Ransom": Maximus & Leonis Khan defeats William Lutz & Ashton Cove. Lutz with a takedown of Leonis. He says they should be #1 contenders. Leonis takes him down and slaps his head. He tags Maximus and deliver a double hip toss. Cove refuses to tag in, but causes a distraction that allows Lutz to grab him by the hair. Leonis hits an uppercut to Lutz then falls and acts like he's down so Cove will tag in. Cove gets the tag and Leonis kips up. He gets hit with Kings Landing for the 3.

Chace Destiny defeats "The Veteran" Apollo. Apollo shoves Chace and Chace locks up the arm. Chace headbutts him and delivers a big clothesline. He kicks Apollo in the face and leg sweeps him. He leg sweeps him again and drops an elbow. He then finishes him off with a DDT-like finisher for the 3.

Big Zo & Eddie Knight defeat Big D & DL3 (w/Shiloh Jonze). Zo takes it to DL3 early and scares him away with a little tae kwan Zo. DL3 tags D and Zo throws him in the corner and splashes him. He tags Eddie and Eddie hits him with an uppercut and takes his leg out. He goes off the ropes, but is tripped by Shiloh. He gets worked over for a bit in the corner, but comes back and gets a hot tag. He plows D down and takes DL3 down as well as he enters. He throws them both to opposite corners and splashes them. DL3 jumps on his back, but Zo plows him back first into the corner. D charges, but he moves and D hits the corner. Eddie drops a flying elbow on DL3 while Zo hits the Zo bomb on D for the 3.

DL3 comes back out and says he should have won. He says Zo is a sucka and has no "street cred". He wants someone to come out now and fight him! Ca$h Flo answers the call and plows DL3 down. He hits a fireman's carry slam, then chops him 3 times. He hits a massive slam and tells DL3 that he's the biggest and baddest, and suggests he keeps his mouth shut!

While Gilbert, Josh, & Ted talk about tonight's action, they notice that IMPACT stars oVe (Jake Crist & Sami Callihan) are sitting at ringside!

 TELEVISION TITLE GAUNTLET MATCH:
Nigel Winters defeats Dimes. Nigel locks Dimes in a side headlock and takes him to the mat. Dimes gets out and locks the ankle up. Nigel counters. Several counters and pin attempts. Dimes takes Nigel down off the ropes and locks in an STF. Dimes then with a kick and goes for the springboard cutter, but Nigel dropkicks him in the back. Off the ropes, Dimes spins around and drops Nigel into the STF again. Nigel counters by rolling through to get the 3!
Drew Hernandez defeats Nigel Winters. Drew charges, but Nigel moves. Nigel rolls him up for 2. He jumps on his back, but Drew takes him into the corner. He takes off the top turnbuckle and as the ref tries to put it back on, Drew kicks Nigel below the belt and gets the 3.
Drew Hernandez defeats "The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth (c). Smooth goes straight to the ring and Drew hits him. Smooth fires back and throws him into the exposed corner and delivers a back body drop. He goes for the bicycle kick, but Drew rolls out. He hits Smooth, but Smooth fires back and takes control again. Smooth with a slam and Drew rolls out again. He goes after him and rolls him back in. He hits the spinebuster and goes for the bicycle kick. The ref is put in the way and Drew tries to kick him below the belt. Smooth catches his boot and kicks Drew below the belt in the heat of the moment and gets disqualified!
Shiloh Jonze (w/DL3 & Big D) defeats Drew Hernandez. Shiloh does a Shiloh-roonie and puts one finger on Drew to get the 3!
Shiloh Jonze (w/Big D & DL3) defeats "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus. Shiloh attacks Melvin as he enters and tries to throw him to the corner. Melvin blocks and takes Shiloh down hard. He chases Shiloh around ringside and back inside, distractions by DL3 & Big D allow Shiloh to take control and lock in a sleeper. Melvin fights up and delivers some forearm shots and a big slam. He hits a powerslam and locks in the bearhug. DL3 gets on the apron and Melvin hits him off. Shiloh hits him with the Sucka Punch and has his feet on the ropes for the 3! Shiloh is the NEW Television Champion.

Brittany Devore comes out and says she talked to Dean Hill, Jaylee cheated Friday night, and she wants her rematch now! Jaylee comes out with Cali & Valerie Vermin. She says she promised her girls a shot first. They talk it over and decide to go ahead and let her have her rematch so they can get her out of the way.
OVW WOMEN'S TITLE MATCH: Jaylee (w/Cali & Valerie Vermin) (c) defeats Brittany Devore. Brittany fires away, but Jaylee distracts the ref and Val trips her off the ropes. Jaylee rolls her up with a handful of tights for the 3.
After the match, Cali gets in the ring and tells the ref she wants her match now.
OVW WOMEN'S TITLE MATCH: Cali defeats Jaylee (w/Valerie Vermin) (c)She rolls Jaylee up from behind and gets the 3! Cali is the NEW Women's Champion!

Tony Gunn comes out and talks about being champion and defeating Abyss two weeks ago. While he is trying to talk about that and the upcoming OVW/IMPACT combo show, he keeps getting interrupted by oVe at ringside. He calls them the peanut gallery and "tweedle-dee and tweedle-dumb". He invites them into the ring, but instead decides to go to ringside. Sami Callihan spits in his face and Gunn has to be held back by officials!

Ca$h Flo comes out and wants to impress management to be on the OVW/IMPACT show. So he is putting up $1000 of his money to anyone who thinks they can outlast him in a chop challenge. He has Ashton Cove take him up first, and Cove goes down after one chop.
KTD is next and goes down after two chops.
Apollo comes out and says he forfeits, he is going home and making himself a sandwich. William Lutz comes out and takes a few chops, but finally goes down.
Sam Thompson is next and takes several chops.
Zo's music hits and he says every guy has been half their size and he guesses his invitation was lost in the mail. He wants a shot, but Ca$h clotheslines Sam on his way out and says the "chop shop" is closed.

Dustin Jackson comes out looking for his girlfriend in the crowd. He apologizes to her and says it was all a big accident and he would never hurt her. While he is apologizing, Colton Cage comes around the corner with a cop. The cop arrests Dustin for abuse as Colton laughs.

This ended the TV taping.

DARK MATCH: OVW Heavyweight Champion "Shotgun" Tony Gunn defeats Amon. Gunn kicks Amon and fires away. Amon rolls out and Gunn chops him on the outside. He goes to roll in, but rolls back out as Amon looks to drop an elbow. He hits a flapjack on Amon for 2. Amon comes back and claws Gunn's back, then chokes him in the ropes. Amon goes for a slam, but Gunn slides off and hits a release German suplex. He fires away and connects with the Killshot for the 3.
