OVW TV 1019: oVe: Ohio Valley Eviction

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, February 20, 2019. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and online at OVW TV. In this episode, Shiloh Jonze tries to hold on to the Television Title in the gauntlet, Justin Smooth gets an opportunity to face Drew Hernandez 1-on-1, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Colton Cage defeats Dimes. Colton makes fun of Dimes' size. Dimes locks him in a side headlock. Off the ropes, Dimes comes off with a shoulder tackle. He locks the side headlock again. Colton pulls him into the corner by his hair and hits him. Colton flips him to the outside and hits a double axehandle off the apron. He clotheslines him back inside and tries to pin for 2. He hits a sidewalk slam and the sideburn effect. Dimes dodges the scissor kick and fires back. He forearms him in the corner and goes up top. Colton knocks him off and connects with the scissor kick for the 3.

William Lutz defeats Ashton Cove. The partners try some quick roll-ups on each other. They each hit an arm drag. Cove locks up the arm. Off the ropes, Lutz with a dropkick. Off the ropes again, Cove reverses and hits a suplex. Lutz gets Cove in the corner and rips off his nipple tape. Cove spears him and pounds him. In the corner, Lutz pokes him in the eye and rolls him up with his feet on the ropes for the 3.

Ca$h Flo comes out for another chop shop challenge. This week, he is putting up $2000. Sam Thompson comes out and says he never gave up last week. Ca$h says to put up or shut up. They exchange several chops and Sam won't give up. Ca$h gets frustrated and clotheslines him, then chops him repeatedly in the corner.
He goes out and grabs a chair, but Big Zo comes out with a chair himself and Ca$h leaves.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 9PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at OVW TV.

Josh Ashcraft, Gilbert Corsey, & Dr. Ted McNaler are on commentary, and Mercy is the ring announcer.

While Gilbert, Josh, & Ted talk about tonight's action, IMPACT stars oVe (Dave & Jake Crist and Sami Callihan) are sitting at ringside again causing chaos. Tony Gunn comes out and interrupts and calls out Sami Callihan after spitting in his face last week. Sami doesn't move, so Tony says he knows Sami likes creating a buzz, so he's got something for him. Tony spits in Sami's face! Sami throws his soda can at him and jumps the barricade.
He goes after Tony along with the rest of oVe's crew. They hit him with the OVW Title and the OVW locker room clears. Dimes, Shiloh Jonze, Sam Thompson, Melvin Maximus and officials run out and clear the ring of oVe, with Dean Hill coming out and screaming for them to get out of the building!

"The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth defeats Drew Hernandez. Drew offers a handshake and then tries to kick Smooth below the belt. Smooth catches it and fires away. Drew rolls out and Smooth chases him. Drew hits him as he enters the ring. Drew hits a big slam and works him over. Smooth fires back and takes Drew down with some atomic drops and a spinebuster. He debates stomping Drew down low. Drew kicks him into the corner and Smooth falls down headbutting him between the legs. He then hits the bicycle kick for the 3.

 TELEVISION TITLE GAUNTLET MATCH:
"Livewire" KTD defeats Crimson. KTD fires away, but Crimson returns fire and doesn't break as the ref counts him out and disqualifies him! Kings Ransom comes out to save KTD and chase Crimson off, but KTD can't continue.
"Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus defeats Brandon Espinosa. Espy attacks him as he takes his robe off and fires away. Melvin catches him as he charges and connects with the powerslam for the 3.
"Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus defeats Jaden Roller. Espy grabs Melvin's foot, so Jaden can get the upperhand. Jaden hits him in the corner and goes up top. He leaps off yelling "Pigtail Power", but Melvin hits him in the gut. He powerslams him for the 3.
Big Zo defeats "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus. They exchange blows, but Zo gets the upperhand. Zo takes Melvin down and connects with the Zo bomb for the 3.
Big Zo defeats Shiloh Jonze (w/Big D) (c). Zo has the upperhand, taking Shiloh down. Big D tries to interfere, but keeps accidentally stomping and dropping an elbow on Shiloh. Zo throws D out of the ring and hits the running cross body on Shiloh for the 3!
Zo is the NEW TV Champion!

Thunderkitty defeats Miss Hannah. Hannah controls most of the match, but can't put Thunderkitty away. Thunderkitty distracts the ref, pokes Hannah in the eye, and rolls her up in a small package for the 3.

Amon & Crazzy Steve vs. "The Void": Chace Destiny & Nigel Winters never gets started. Amon & Steve attack Nigel & Chace as they come through the curtain. They brawl back and forth with Steve putting a bag over Nigel's head and him & Amon hitting a snap DDT on Nigel on a chair. He has to be stretchered out.

Dean Hill comes out and says that oVe will face 4 of OVW's stars at the March 2 SNS, and is signing Sami Callihan to face Tony Gunn 1-on-1.
Tony comes out and is glad he gets the fight as Sami sneaks back in a side door and starts brawling with Tony.
The rest of oVe follows and again the OVW locker room empties as chaos ensues.
OVW gets the upperhand and oVe retreats out the side door.

This ended the TV taping.

DARK MATCH: OVW Women's Champion Cali defeats Valerie Vermin. A lot of quick roll-up attempts from each lady. Cali takes her down and locks in the armbreaker for the tapout victory.

DARK MATCH: "Kings Ransom": Leonis & Maximus Khan defeats Brandon Espinosa & Jaden Roller. A good start for the Kings, but cheap tactics allow Espy & Roller to take control. A hot tag and the Kings come firing back. They finish it off after hitting Kings Landing on Espy for the 3.

*AS ALWAYS, THANKS FOR READING!

  1. Well...at least the chop segment too place off TV. Last week's was not the finest segment of wrestling television I've ever seen. Also, is it 4 OVW wrestlers vs the 2 from oVe or is it 4 on 4?
