OVW TV 1020: oVe Overstays Their Welcome

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, February 27, 2019. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and online at OVW TV. In this episode, Big Zo tries to hold on to the Television Title in the gauntlet, Sinn Bodhi returns to OVW, oVe gets a live mic, Chace Destiny faces Crazzy Steve in a casket match, plus more!

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Amon defeats Nick Stanley. Nick slaps him, kicks him in the backside, and hits a spinning neckbreaker for 2. Amon reverses a throw to the corner, but runs into a back elbow. Nick hits a trust fall. He shoulders him in the corner and hits a dropkick from the apron. He fires away and hits a neckbreaker. He poses, but Amon pops right back up and hits the STH for the 3.

OVW Women's Champion Cali Young & Brittany Garcia defeat Valerie Vermin & Jaylee. Jaylee shoves Brittany down. Brittany gets up and goes after her, but she tags out to Val. Val hits her and tags Jaylee. They miss a double clothesline and Brittany clotheslines them instead. Jaylee & Val double team her behind the ref's back and Val hits a Russian leg sweep. Jaylee tags back in and works her over. Off the ropes, they clothesline each other, then both tag out. Cali clotheslines, spin kicks, and dropkicks Val. Cali runs into a boot in the corner, but comes back with an x-factor for the 3.

GOLDEN TICKET RUMBLE: Adam Revolver, Drew Hernandez, Ashton Cove, William Lutz, KTD, DL3, Big D, Apollo, & Dimes are the competitors. Ted McNaler runs in to help Adam eliminate KTD, but then Adam tosses Ted! Cove is next, then Big D, then Apollo. Dimes eliminates Drew. Dimes & Lutz clothesline DL3 out of the ring. Dimes hits a springboard stunner on Adam. Dimes tosses Lutz, but then Adam dumps Dimes out for the victory.
Bruce Schneider gets in the ring to tell Adam his opponent this Saturday will be Eddie Edwards! Adam says he can bring both of his first names to the Bluegrass, because he will show him what a real stud looks like!

 TELEVISION TITLE GAUNTLET MATCH:
Crimson defeats Big Zo (c). Zo hits and kicks Crimson to the corner. He splashes him, then hits the cartwheel butt bump and back elbows. He slams him and goes for the Zo bomb. Crimson slides out of the ring. Zo catches Crimson on the apron and suplexes him in for 2. He goes for the running cross body, but Crimson ducks it. He pounds Zo on the mat and clubs him across the side of the face. He has a chinlock on, but Zo rams him into the corner. He goes for another cartwheel butt bump, but Crimson moves. Crimson spears him for the 3, meaning we will have a NEW TV champion!
Maximus Khan defeats Crimson. Maximus chases Crimson and hits him when he gets him in the ring. Crimson tackles him off the ropes, but Max comes back with the 10-count punches in the corner. Crimson throws Max out, but Max lands on the apron. He hits the leaping clothesline off the ropes and gets the 3.
Jax Dane defeats Maximus Khan. Jax drives him into the corner, but Max fires back. Jax takes him down with a shoulder block off the ropes. Max back with a cross body. He hits Jax in the corner, but runs into a back elbow. Jax throws him shoulder first into the steel ringpost and hits a huge Samoan drop for the 3.
Leonis Khan defeats Jax Dane. Leonis fires away, but Jax reverses a throw into the corner and splashes him. On the outside, they battle and Leonis hits a big right, but Jax stomps him as he gets back in the ring. Jax flings him back out to the floor and hits him off the barricade. Jax rolls him back in and headbutts him. Leonis comes back with a leaping clothesline for the 3.
"The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth defeats Leonis Khan. After some back and forth early, including an arm drag that hurts the shoulder of Smooth, Smooth comes back with the bicycle kick for the 3!
Colton Cage defeats "The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth. Smooth is in control, hitting a spinebuster. oVe starts throwing trash at him from ringside, distracting him. Colton kicks him when he turns around, then connects with the scissor kick for the 3! Colton is the NEW TV Champion, but as he celebrates, the cameras pan to the outside.
Dustin Jackson is brought in by a police cruiser, unhandcuffed, and he makes a beeline inside, going after Colton and has to be pulled away by officials!

"The Warlord of Weird" Sinn Bodhi defeats KTD. Sinn controls the entire match. He has KTD hit himself, and even tickles him! His "weird" style keeps KTD off his game, and Sinn puts him away with a planting DDT for the 3. After the match, he dances with the ref while stepping on KTD, and also picks his nose and sticks his finger in KTD's mouth.

Gilbert Corsey interviews Sami Callihan at ringside. Sami says he's the draw and Gilbert can come to him. He says there is more people here than there's ever been since they showed up. Gilbert mentions Tony Gunn confronting him at Louisville Comic-Con, but Sami leaving and having nothing to say. Sami says it was Gunn who ran, but he says this place stinks, and he is feeling some hostility. They are leaving and going back to Ohio.

Gilbert Corsey goes through more of the card for this Saturday. Team OVW will be Dustin Jackson, Shiloh Jonze, Sam Thompson, & Melvin Maximus against oVe's Jake & Dave Crist, Sawyer Fulton, & Ace Austin, Cali will face Madison Rayne, a fatal 4 way will have Moose vs. Ca$h Flo vs. Jay Bradley vs. a superstar to be named, and the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles will be on the line as the War Kings face off in a triple threat against Kings Ransom and IMPACT's Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz.

CASKET MATCH: Chace Destiny defeats Crazzy Steve. Chace fires away and hits a big clothesline. Steve comes back and takes Chace down and tries to stab him in the eyes with a fork. Steve grabs some chairs from under the ring and throws them at Chace. He sits in one in the corner and then throws another one at Chace. He chokes Chace with a chair and hits him across the back with one. He hits him in the corner, but Chace gets his knees up on a cannonball attempt. He pulls Steve into the turnbuckle and says to open the casket. Amon comes out and shuts it, but Chace leaps out on him. Steve suckers Chace in and kicks him, then DDT's him on a chair. He rolls Chace in the casket, but before he can shut the lid, Chace hits him below the belt with the fork! Amon gets back in and they try to double team Chace, but Steve accidentally spits mist in Amon's eyes. Chace then puts a bag over Steve's head and rolls him in the casket for the win!

Dean Hill comes out and says that no one goes out the side door, he's contacted authorities. We shoot to outside, where oVe was laying in wait to take out Tony Gunn and other members of Team OVW in the parking lot. They take off with the OVW Heavyweight Title as the locker room, led by Dean Hill, runs out the side door.

This ended the TV taping.

DARK MATCH (SECOND CHANCE to be on the Clash in the Bluegrass): Dimes defeats DL3. Dimes goes right after him, pounding him on the mat. He chases DL3 around the ring and hits him. He goes for the springboard stunner, but DL3 blocks it. Dimes comes right back and locks up the arm, then turns it into a crossface for the tapout win.

DARK MATCH: Drew Hernandez & Ca$h Flo defeat "The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth & Big Zo. Drew attacks Smooth from behind. Smooth fires back and takes Drew down with a slam. He clubs him across the side of the head and stomps him. Zo tags in and throws Drew hard in the corner. Zo with a suplex for 2 as Ca$h breaks the pin. Ca$h tags in and throws Zo off the ropes. He goes for a hip toss, but Zo blocks and clotheslines him. He tags Smooth and they club him across the back. Smooth hits him in the corner and Ca$h reverses a throw to the corner. Smooth has Ca$h up for a slam, but Ca$h falls on him for 2. Ca$h chops him, then kicks him on the mat. He tags Drew and Drew stomps him and tries to pin for 1. Smooth tags Zo, but Drew tags to Ca$h saying that's his beef. They have a test of strength. Zo gets the upperhand and has him down on the mat for 2. Ca$h rolls him up for 2. He clubs Zo's back and rakes his face across the top rope. He chops him in the corner and throws him into Drew's boot. Drew rams him into the corner and holds him while tagging Ca$h. Ca$h charges in with a splash. Drew tags back in and tries to pin, but Smooth immediately kicks him to break the pin. Zo tags Smooth and Smooth fires away with clotheslines and a back elbow. He hits a huge spinebuster and goes for the bicycle kick. Ca$h pulls Zo off the apron. The ref is distracted as Smooth could have had the 3 on Drew. He finally gets the ref's attention, but Drew kicks out at 2. Smooth tags Zo and they throw Drew off the ropes. Drew holds on and Ca$h tags in. Smooth clotheslines Drew to the outside and they both go out. Inside, Zo charges Ca$h, but Ca$h catches him with a boot and rolls him up with his feet on the ropes for the 3. After the match, Zo says everyone saw how he won, but this Saturday he is the 4th man in the fatal 4 way, and will find out what time it is!
