OVW TV 1041: Revolver Cooks Up a Storm

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, July 24, 2019. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and on the OVW Network. In this episode, the TV Title gauntlet featuring TV Champion Big Zo, plus more!

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"Category 5" Corey Storm defeats Ace Jackson. A lot of back and forth reversals early. Corey sends Ace down and out with a dropkick, then jumps out to the apron. He kicks Ace in the face and rolls him in. He hits an uppercut and a clothesline in the corner. Ace with a little offense, but Corey is back with a trouble in paradise, dropkick into the corner, and the Eye of the Storm for the 3.

"The Void": Nigel Winters & Chace Destiny defeat Lee Holliday & "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson. Sam & Nigel with some quick offense early. Nigel takes control and tags Chace. Chace gets an arm drag from Sam and he tags Lee. Lee works over Chace, but quickly the Void regains control. Lee moves Nigel in front of Chace as Chace jumps off the top rope, and Chace accidentally hits Nigel. Lee tags Sam. Sam and Chace go back and forth, with Sam going for a sunset flip on Chace. Chace drops down, hooks a leg, and the ref doesn't see Nigel assisting on the pin from the outside for the 3.

"Mr. Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (w/Mrs. Marvelous) defeats Big D. Melvin destroys D, hitting him with some powerful clotheslines in the corners. He hits the Russian leg sweep for the 3.

Gilbert Corsey & Bruce Snyder are on commentary, and Mercy Keller is the ring announcer.

Gilbert Corsey is in the ring and says big news is out once again. OVW is returning to Fourth Street Live and will be live on Wednesday Sept. 11. They show a video of the announcement by Al Snow. Gilbert says Snow boarded a plane and can only imagine the talent that he's planning on bringing in. Once again, only the champions are guaranteed to have a spot on the show. Also, the Anarchy Champion Sinn Bodhi returns next week and we are about to have a Fatal 4 Way hardcore match. The winner will face Sinn next Wednesday!

FATAL 4 WAY (WINNER RECEIVES ANARCHY TITLE SHOT): Drew Hernandez defeats "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd, "The Great" Dustin Jackson, & Dimes. Dimes & Dustin exchange shots in one corner, while Drew & Floyd exchange shots in the other. Drew goes after Dimes, then Floyd & Dustin start fighting. Dimes knocks Dustin down in the corner, then shoves Drew on him. Floyd charges Dimes, and Dimes drop toeholds him onto Drew's crotch. Dimes charges and jumps off Floyd's back on all fours to hit a bronco buster onto Drew & Dustin. Dimes & Floyd fight with Floyd trying to lock in a modified Boston crab. Drew hits him off. Drew & Floyd fight on the outside and Dimes flies out on them. Dustin then joins in and dives out on them as well. Drew grabs a chair and hits Dustin off the top rope. Floyd drops him for the Boston crab. Dustin grabs the chair and dropkicks it into Drew's face as Dimes hits an enziguri on Floyd. Dimes then hits a fameasser on Dustin on the chair. Dustin & Floyd end up with chairs as Drew goes after them. Dustin hits Drew with a chair, but misses Floyd. Floyd hits Dustin. Dimes recovers and hits a double Change Maker on Floyd & Dustin. Dimes goes for one to Drew, but Drew throws him off and kicks him below the belt to get the 3.

TELEVISION TITLE GAUNTLET:
KTD defeats Amon. Amon attacks KTD and delivers a back body drop off the ropes. He clubs his chest and chokes him in the ropes. He drags him around by his hair and tries to pin for 2. Off the ropes, KTD with a sunset flip for the 3!
William Lutz defeats KTD. KTD gets caught celebrating and Lutz rolls him up immediately with a backslide for the 3.
William Lutz defeats "Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya. Hy takes Lutz down. Off the ropes, Lutz with a shoulder block. Hy gets Lutz in the corner and chops him, then kicks him in the back. He claws his eyes and slams him. He stands on Lutz's hair, then kicks him in the head. He chokes Lutz in the ropes. He puts Lutz in a chinlock. Lutz fights up and throws Hy off the ropes. Hy holds on, Lutz charges, and Hy pulls down the top rope for Lutz to fly to the floor. He throws Lutz into the ringpost, then rolls him in. Kings Ransom comes out and distracts Hy, and Ca$h Flo comes out also. All 4 fight on the outside and Hy gets counted out.
Ashton Cove defeats William Lutz. Cove takes the fight to Lutz, hitting clotheslines, then diving out on Lutz. He hits a slam and rolls over into a pin for the 3.
Shiloh Jonze (w/Big D & DL3) defeats Ashton Cove. Shiloh attacks Cove and works him over, but Cove fires back with some clotheslines and hard shots. Off the ropes, Cove hits a cross body on Shiloh. Cove for 2. Shiloh throws him into the ringpost and gets the 3.
Big Zo (c) defeats Shiloh Jonze (w/Big D & DL3). Zo hits Shiloh into the corner and hits a backbreaker and slam. Shiloh asks DL3 for a chain, but DL3 acts like he can't hear him. Zo flips him into the ring and Shiloh begs for the chain again. DL3 gives it to him, it falls apart, as Zo picks Shiloh up for the Zo Driver and the 3.

"Margaritas & Moonshine": Jessie Belle & "Amazing" Maria James defeats Cali Young & Valerie Verman. Cali gets taken down by Jessie & Maria, and she tags Val. Val gets hit by Maria and Cali is tagged in again. Jessie & Maria run her off the ropes and take her down, but Val distracts the ref from making the pin. Val gets in with a baseball bat and clocks Jessie, then Maria, then even the ref. More officials come out and Val hits one of them as well!

Corey Storm is out to talk about his match on August 3rd with Justin Smooth. He will be in the fight of his life. It's something he dreamed of before he even started wrestling. A chance at the OVW Heavyweight Title. While Smooth is partying it up in New York, he is here each and every week busting his tail to prepare.
Adam Revolver & Shannon the Dude interrupt and make fun of his age and his hair. Shannon distracts Corey on the outside of the ring, talking trash, allowing Adam to sneak around to the opposite side of the ring. Adam gets in and blindsides Corey. Adam & Shannon both put the boots to him.

This ended the TV taping.

DARK MATCH: Ca$h Flo vs. Maximus Khan (w/Leonis Khan). Hy Zaya comes out before the bell and throws Leonis intot he ringpost. This allows Ca$h to hit Maximus from behind. Maximus fires back and hits Ca$h into the corner. Ca$h with a boot and he chokes Maximus on the mat. Ca$h with some big chops and he tosses Maximus out. He distracts the ref so Hy can put some boots to Maximus on the floor. Ca$h stomps and chokes Maximus in the corner with his boot. Hy again hits Maximus from the outside while Ca$h distracts the ref. Maximus comes back with some quick roll-up attempts for 2. Ca$h slams Maximus down and goes up top. Maximus hits the ropes and Ca$h crashes down. Maximus goes up and hits a swanton bomb for 2 as Hy pulls Maximus off the pin. Maximus fights with Hy as Leonis comes back out. All 4 men end up in the ring and the ref throws the match out, ruling it a no-contest.

  1. Why isnt Josh Ashcroft at ringside with LOB anymore?? Kings Ransom wouldnt stand a chance against them with him leading them!
