OVW TV 1055: House of Horrors Special

This is the OVW Report for Tuesday, October 29, 2019. OVW can be seen LIVE at 8PM ET on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area as well as Youtube! It replays again on Saturdays at 11AM and 9PM. You can also find OVW TV on the OVW Network. In this episode, Justin Smooth defends the Heavyweight Title against Jax Dane, the Nightmare Cup Finals, Megan Bayne defends the Women's Title against Max the Impaler, Sinn Bodhi defends the Anarchy Title against Amon, plus much more!

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"The Indian Lion" Mahabali Shera defeats Steve Michaels. They lock up and growl at each other. They both run into each other and try to take the other man down. Shera tries some clotheslines, and hits Steve into the corner. Steve with some clubbing shots across the back. A hard clothesline to Shera takes him down for 2. Shera back with some chops and a thunderous clothesline off the ropes finally takes Steve down. Shera hits a sky high for the 3.

"Action" Ashton Cove defeats William Lutz. Cove with a quick leg sweep and pin attempt for 1. Lutz then tries a quick roll-up for 2. Cove tries for a killswitch, but Lutz slips out. Cove goes to grab him, but Lutz pokes him in the eye. He knees him in the back and elbows him across the back of the neck. Lutz with a backslide and his feet on the ropes for 2 as the ref catches it. Cove fires away in the corner and chokes him across the top rope. Cove with a vertical suplex. Cove with a reverse roll-up and handful of tights for the 3.

"The Legacy of Brutality": Jay Bradley & Big Zo (w/Josh Ashcraft, Ca$h Flo, & "Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya) defeats AJ Daniels & EC Diamond. Jay throws EC into their corner and tags Zo. EC rolls away from a splash in the corner. Zoslings him across the ring and AJ is tagged in. Zo with a slam for 2. Zo gets him in the corner with a big splash and tags Jay. Jay with a big boot and a hard chop. AJ slips free and tags EC. EC with a flying headscissors. He goes up top and Jay catches him, but EC knocks him off and hits a flying body press for 2. EC with a kick to the head. Jay tags Zo, and Zo slams EC hard in the corner. He hits a Zo bomb and tags Jay, who hits an elbow off the second rope for the 3 as Zo knocks AJ off the apron.

We see Amon & Sinn Bodhi fighting somewhere in an abandoned building.

NIGHTMARE CUP FINAL 4 CORNER ELIMINATION MATCH: "The Legacy of Brutality": Ca$h Flo & "Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya (w/Josh Ashcraft, Jay Bradley, & Big Zo) vs. Dimes & "Category 5" Corey Storm vs. Dustin Jackson & "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd vs. "Kings Ransom": Leonis & Maximus Khan.

Hy ambushes Dustin from behind and tags Ca$h. Ca$h hits a frog splash for a quick 3 and an elimination. Dimes comes in and uses his quickness against Ca$h and tags Corey in. They work together to try and take Ca$h down. Ca$h gets Corey into their corner and the L.O.B. work him over from the outside while the ref keeps Dimes back. The Kings tag themselves in and knock Ca$h out of the ring. They hit Hy with Kings Landing for the 3. A good remainder of the match between the Kings and Dimes & Storm. Dimes & Storm both leap out onto the Kings, and the Kings try to use their power inside to take control. Some near falls. Maximus catches Dimes with a spear off the ropes, but Dimes rolls to the floor. Leonis throws him back in. Inside, a switch around sees Maximus accidentally spear Leonis. Storm hits Maximus with the Eye of the Storm and Dimes connects with a Change Maker for the 3!

NIGHTMARE CUP WINNERS: STORM & DIMES.

We see more of Amon & Sinn Bodhi fighting in the abandoned building. Gilbert Corsey is in the ring with Gladiator Sports Network's Chad Miller and one of the owners of Against the Grain. There is an official partnership between OVW and Against the Grain, including a special event coming up at Slugger Field on December 10, "Christmas Chaos".

Cali Young (w/Bryan Kennison) vs. Sarah the Rebel.

Sarah with a quick takedown and suplex to Cali, but Bryan causes a distraction that allows Cali to take control. Cali hits her from behind and works her over. Bryan keeps interfering from outside, even as Sarah starts to mount a comeback. She suplexes Cali and goes up top, but Bryan keeps grabbing her foot. She kicks him off and hits a cross body for 2 as Bryan breaks the pin. The ref throws him out, but that allows Cali to come up behind Sarah, hit a fisherman's suplex and gets the 3.

WINNER: CALI by pinfall.

We see more of Amon & Sinn Bodhi fighting.

10-MAN TAG MATCH: "Team Shiloh": Shiloh Jonze, Big D, Chace, Nigel, & Luscious Lawrence vs. "Team Bizo": Tony Bizo, KTD, Drew Hernandez, "Mr. Marvelous" Melvin Maximus, & "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson (w/Mrs. Marvelous).

Sam hits Shiloh and Chace tags in. KTD with some hits, but a distraction allows Chace & Nigel to double team him. They work him over in their corner and Nigel does the double foot stomp repeatedly across his chest. Everything breaks loose and somehow the ref restores order. KTD with a roll-up on Nigel for 2. Nigel with a sleeper. DL3 comes to the ring. KTD jawjacks Nigel and both men tag out to Sam & Lawrence. Sam with quick offense and a kick to the face. Everything breaks loose again. Drew flips Sam out onto everyone. Shiloh is in behind Sam and gives him a bionic elbow (a la Dusty Rhodes). He goes off the ropes, but DL3 trips him. Lawrence is back in to take advantage, but Dapper Dan runs out with Sam's briefcase and hits Lawrence in the back. He pulls Sam on top of Lawrence for the 3.

WINNERS: TEAM BIZO by pinfall.

We see more of Amon & Sinn Bodhi fighting. Amon throws Sinn into the back of a car.

Dean Hill says there was a theft last week and brings out AJZ. AJZ says he wants Tony Gunn out here now and he wants the TV Title brought back. Come out here now or we can do this the hard way. Gunn's music hits and he comes to ringside. Gunn grabs a camera man and takes him hostage and leaves as AJZ and Dean go after him.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT RADIO TITLE: Steven Rummage & "The Pope" Elijah Burke vs. Adam Revolver & Shannon the Dude (c).

Adam pushes Rummage, and finally Rummage pushes back and knocks Adam off his feet. Aam tries to kick him, but Rummage grabs his foot and slams him. STD causes a distraction that allows Adam to hit Rummage from behind. STD tags in, but Rummage pops up and chases him. Adam grabs Rummage's foot, but Rummage kicks him off. STD knocks Rummage off the apron. Rummage gets a hot tag to Pope. Pope takes it to Adam, connecting with several bionic elbows to Adam's dome. Pope splashes him across the back and goes up top. Pope with a flying cross body, but Adam's not legal. STD goes for a low blow, but Pope catches him and tags Rummage. Pope with an atomic drop and Rummage spears him. He locks in a sharpshooter. Adam tries to break it up, but Pope catches him and locks him in one himself. STD taps!

WINNERS: POPE & RUMMAGE, AND NEW RADIO CHAMPION: RUMMAGE by submission.

OVW WOMEN'S TITLE: Max the Impaler vs. Megan Bayne (c).

Max attacks from behind and throws Megan hard from corner to corner. She chokes her and clubs her. Megan avoids a charge in the corner, but takes a swing at Max, and gets caught in a full nelson slam. Max stomps on her midsection and lifts her up on her shoulders. She slams her down. She stomps her and rakes her face across the top rope. Off the ropes, Megan is back with a shoulder tackle. A hard clothesline and a t-bone suplex. She hits Max in the corner and chops her. Max reverses a throw and misses a charge. She goes shoulder first into the post. Meg slams her for 2. On the shoulders, Max slides off. Megan goes for a clothesline, but Max ducks and hits a spear for the 3!

WINNER AND NEW OVW WOMEN'S CHAMPION: MAX by pinfall.

OVW ANARCHY TITLE HOUSE of HORRORS MATCH: Amon vs. "The Warlord of Weird" Sinn Bodhi (c).

They finally arrive on the stage and Amon drags him out by a chain. Amon hits him against the ring and grabs a table. He claw slams Sinn through a table for 1. They fight on the top rope and go through a second table. Gangrel's music hits and he has been added to this match. He takes both men down. Sinn rolls out and grabs some darts. Amon takes them away and shares them with Gangrel. Gangrel and Amon both throw darts into the flesh of Sinn! Amon & Gangrel continue fighting, but Amon takes Gangrel down and gets the 3!

WINNER AND NEW OVW ANARCHY CHAMPION: AMON by pinfall.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Jax Dane vs. "The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth (c).

Smooth with a cheap shot, but Jax fires back and throws Smooth hard into the corner. Smooth rolls out and takes a breather around ringside. Smooth says he's done and grabs the title. Jax grabs him and throws him back in. He delivers a back body drop and hits Smooth into every corner. He misses a charge and Smooth with some rights to the side of Jax's head. He throws Jax hard into the corner and splashes him. Smooth with another hard right and throw to the opposite corner. Another splash attempt, but Jax catches him and hits a huge overhead release suplex. He hits another and Smooth rolls out. Jax goes out after him and hits his head off the side of the apron. Smooth hits Jax across the back as he gets back in, but Jax returns to his feet and hits him hard. Smooth reverses a throw into the corner and goes for a suplex. Jax reverses and Smooth rolls out again. Jax rolls him back in and catches a boot from Smooth. Smooth weasels away to the outside. Jax out after him again. He hits Smooth and rolls him in. He avoids an elbow drop from Smooth and gets in. He hits a Samoan drop for 2 as Smooth gets his foot on the ropes. Smooth pulls Jax's head down across the top rope and hits his patented spinebuster. Jax pops right back to his feet. Jax with a headbutt and another release overhead suplex. He splashes Smooth in the corner and boots him in the side of the head. Smooth is on Jax's shoulders and rakes Jax's eyes. Jax charges, but goes shoulder first into the post. Smooth with a boot to the head against the post. Smooth goes to leave again, but Jax again catches him and fights with him on the outside. He rolls Smooth in at 9, but gets counted out at 10 before getting back in himself.

WINNER AND STILL OVW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: SMOOTH by countout.

At the end of the show, Tony Gunn chucks the TV Title into the river for being labeled an "outsider".
