OVW TV 1061: Christmas Chaos!


This is the OVW Report for Tuesday, December 10, 2019. OVW can be seen LIVE at 8PM ET on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area as well as Youtube! It replays again on Saturdays at 11AM and 9PM. You can also find OVW TV on the OVW Network.

In this episode, it's Christmas Chaos! Every match takes place in the 15-foot high steel cage. Justin Smooth defends the Heavyweight Title against Leonis Khan, the Legacy of Brutality faces Dimes, Corey Storm, Mahabali Shera, & Jax Dane in an 8-man War Games match, a reverse Women's battle royal where the winner gets a Women's Title shot against Max the Impaler, Amon defends the Anarchy Title against Gangrel & Sinn Bodhi in a triple threat, the first ever Rush Champion will be crowned, plus so much more!

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:


"Mr. Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (w/Mrs. Marvelous) defeats Chace. Melvin goes after him, but Chace runs. Chace offers him some money, but Melvin declines. Chace slaps him, which angers Melvin. Melvin grabs him by the throat. Chace knees him, but runs into a big boot. Melvin hits the Marvelous Leg Sweep for the 3.

Drew Hernandez defeats DL3 . DL3 tries to duck and roll, but Drew throws him in the corner. He picks him up for a slam, but DL3 shoves him into the corner. DL3 charges at him, but Drew kicks him and delivers a sit-out Mayan Apocalypse for the 3.

Tony Bizo & AJZ defeat Luscious Lawrence & Ashton Cove. Lawrence & Cove immediately go for the escape out of the cage. AJZ & Bizo pull them down. They chop them in the corners and go to throw them into each other. They stop, but turn into dropkicks. AJZ throws Bizo into Cove, then Bizo throws AJZ into Lawrence. Bizo slams Cove They hit a 4D on Cove on top of Lawrence, then go to escape. Lawrence hits AJZ into Bizo. Bizo hits the floor, but he pulls AJZ back in and slingshots him into the cage. They try to pin AJZ for 2. Lawrence holds AJZ up and Cove flies off the top with a clothesline. They pose with Bizo getting back in and dropkicking them down. AJZ cimbs up top as Bizo Samoan drops Lawrence. AJZ with a flying cross body. AJZ with a cutter to Lawrence and a Bizo Bottom to Cove for a double 3 count.

Dr. Ted McNaler & Bruce Snyder are on commentary the first hour with Steve Johnson replacing Bruce the second hour, and Brittany Devore is the ring announcer.

ANARCHY TITLE MATCH: "The Warlord of Weird" Sinn Bodhi vs. Gangrel vs. "The Demon" Amon (c).
Gangrel throws Sinn into a wet floor sign. Amon hits Gangrel with a cookie sheet. The wet floor sign is then used by Gangrel on both men and Sinn then fires away with a chair. Sinn bites Gangrel. Amon chokes Gangrel with a rope as Sinn hits them both with the cookie sheet. Amon hits Gangrel with a trash can lid and Sinn connects with a slam on Amon. Sinn chokeslams himself on Amon for 2 as Gangrel breaks it up. Gangrel with a chair to the back of Amon. Sinn claws Gangrel's back and rakes his face across the side of the cage. Amon clubs Sinn from behind and Sinn reverses a throw that sends Amon into a chair set up in the corner. Gangrel chokes Amon with the bull rope as Sinn chokes Gangrel with Amon's chains. Gangrel with a low blow. Gangrel does a meeting of the minds with Sinn & Amon. Gangrel stomps Amon and chokes him. Sinn chokes him as well. Sinn hits Amon with a chair while Gangrel has Amon wrapped up in the rope. Off the ropes, Amon ducks a clothesline, but Gangrel & Sinn launch him into the cage. Sinn hits the DDT on Gangrel, but Amon breaks the pin. Amon hits Sinn and gets the 3.
WINNER and STILL ANARCHY CHAMPION: AMON by pinfall.
After the match, Gangrel & Sinn continue brawling to the back.

"Shotgun" Tony Gunn vs. Maximus Khan.
Gunn slaps Khan, but Khan slaps him back. He throws him into the corner and hits a back body drop. An uppercut, but Gunn then sidesteps a spear. Khan is right back on him with chops. Gunn reverses a throw to the corner and Khan goes to leap over him, but Gunn stops and kicks him below the belt. Khan ducks a Killshot, but Gunn catches him with a knee to the midsection. He hits a seated clothesline for 2. Another pin attempt for 2, then a third. Gunn goes for the Killshot again, but Khan drives him into the corner and shoulders him. He sits him on the top turnbuckle, but Gunn hits him off. Gunn poses, but Khan hits the ropes and Gunn falls. Gunn slides through as Khan goes up top and powerbombs him off. Gunn misses a Killshot again, and Khan connects with the spear for the 3.
WINNER: MAXIMUS by pinfall.

RUSH CHAMPIONSHIP LADDER MATCH: "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson (w/Dapper Dan) vs. D'mone Solavino vs. "Zero Gravity" AJ Daniels vs. Nigel vs. William Lutz vs. KTD.
 Chaos as expected with all 6 men going to battle. Sam is the first to get a ladder into the cage. AJ climbs up the cage, followed by Lutz. Lutz hits a reverse dive with AJ onto all 4 other men below. KTD & D'mone throw the ladder at each other. Sam & KTD climb a ladder and go crashing down as AJ knocks it over. Nigel climbs, but D'mone & Lutz take him down. Lutz is climbing now, and 3 men knock him over. Sam brings in another ladder and climbs, but gets low blowed by Nigel. Nigel hits KTD off a ladder. Dan gets in the ring and starts hitting everyone with Sam's briefcase. Nigel grabs the briefcase and hits Dan from behind, knocking Dan into the ladder and knocking Sam off. Lutz helicopters the ladder around his neck, taking everyone out. Nigel starts hitting everyone with the croquet mallet. He hits Lutz below the belt with it. Nigel starts to climb, but AJ dropkicks it down. AJ climbs the cage and hits a 450 onto everyone below. AJ & KTD both grab ladders and climb simultaneously. They both grab the belt and tug of war it, but it's AJ who comes away with it!
WINNER and FIRST EVER RUSH CHAMPION: AJ DANIELS.

WORLD RADIO TITLE MATCH: Shannon the Dude vs. Steven Rummage (c).
Adam Revolver attacks Rummage from behind as he makes his way down the ramp. Adam shoves him in and gets in, making it a 2-on-1. STD chokes him and locks in the sleeper. Crixus Gladius comes out and forces his way in the cage, taking out Revolver with a massive suplex. It's back to 1-on-1. STD still has the sleeper on Rummage, but Rummage fights back. STD goes for powder, but Rummage hits it back into STD's face. He hits STD's head off the top turnbuckle 10 times, then slams him. Rummage with a shoulder tackle, then another. He goes for a third, but STD moves. Rummage crashes into the cage, and STD rolls him up with a handful of tights for the win.
WINNER and NEW RADIO CHAMPION: SHANNON by pinfall.

LAST MAN STANDING: "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd vs. Dustin Jackson.
Dustin goes after Floyd, but Floyd uses the ref as a shield to get the upperhand. He hits Dustin and clubs him across the back. He goes for the Deal Breaker, but Dustin slides off and dropkicks him into the cage. He hits a back body drop. Floyd tries to hit Dustin into the cage, but Dustin stops himself and hits Floyd with a running boot, then the Michinoku Driver and 2 splashes off the top rope. Floyd gets up at 9, but grabs handcuffs and gets one locked around Dustin's wrist. Dustin chops him and hits him. He hits a splash in the corner and then another. He hits a running knee in the corner. Floyd tries to climb out, but Dustin hits him in the back. Floyd drops him and handcuffs him to the bottom rope. Dustin is stuck and can't get up before the 10 count.
WINNER and LAST MAN "STANDING": FLOYD.

REVERSE BATTLE ROYAL: Jessie Belle vs. Cali Young (w/Bryan Kennison) vs. Valerie Verman vs. Mazarati vs. Thunderkitty vs. Sarah the Rebel vs. Madi Maxx vs. Megan Bayne.
All 8 women fight off in pairs in opposite corners of the ring. They all end up hitting each other with finishers. It finishes with Megan & Cali racing to escape the cage and Megan hitting the floor first, only for Max the Impaler to be waiting to attack...
WINNER: MEGAN.
WOMEN'S TITLE MATCH: Megan Bayne vs. Max the Impaler (c).
Once inside, Megan starts to come back. She throws Max from side to side and knees her in the midsection. Max reverses a throw, sending Megan crashing into the side of the cage. She chokeslams her, then connects with a vicious spear for the 3.
WINNER and STILL WOMEN'S CHAMPION: MAX by pinfall.

HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Leonis Khan vs. "The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth (c).
Smooth slams the cage door into Khan's head. Khan back with some hits and chops. Smooth throws him into the cage and tries to climb out. Khan catches him and back body drops him off the cage. He rams him into the sides of the cage, but Smooth sidesteps a spear. Smooth tries to leave, but Khan slams the door in his face. He hits a spear for 2. He goes for another spear, but Smooth leaps over it, then hits Street Justice for 2. Smooth asks for the title and goes to hit Khan, but Khan ducks. Khan goes for another spear and hits it, while also going head first into the title belt. Both men go down. Smooth goes to leave again, but Khan has his leg. Smooth kicks him off, but Khan clubs him across the back. Smooth with a low blow. Smooth goes to leave, but Khan spears him through the cage door! Smooth hits the floor and therefore escapes!
WINNER and STILL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: SMOOTH by escape.

8-MAN CAGED WARFARE: "The Legacy of Brutality": Ca$h Flo, Jay Bradley, Big Zo, & "Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya (w/Josh Ashcraft) vs. Jax Dane, "The Indian Lion" Mahabali Shera, & OVW Southern Tag Team Champions Dimes & "The Prince of Flight" Corey Storm.
Corey & Hy start out for the first 5 minutes, then every minute, someone new enters. Hy launches Storm into the cage by his hair. Corey back with some quick offense. He throws Hy into the cage. He delivers some kicks in the corner. Jay enters and Corey ducks a clothesline, but Jay grabs him by the hair and launches him into the cage. Hy & Jay have the advantage and Jay throws Corey hard into the cage again. Hy ground and pounds Corey. Jay slams Corey off his shoulders while Hy kicks him in the head. Dimes enters. He dropkicks Jay's knee, then dropkicks him into the side of the cage. Dimes & Corey double team Hy with Jay down as Zo enters. Zo bearhugs Dimes as Hy leg lariats him down. Jay is squashing Corey between the ropes and the cage. Shera is in next and he cleans house. He slams Zo, then Hy, then hits Jay with one too. Dimes, Corey, & Shera are in control until it's time for Ca$h. Ca$h with a kick to the face of Shera. Jay slams Ca$h on top of Shera. Hy then pounds Shera. Zo chokes Corey with his boot. Finally, Jax is in, and all 8 men are in the ring. Ca$h chops Jax, which only angers him. Jax with an overhead release suplex to Ca$h. He throws the L.O.B. into the cage. He gets Ca$h on his shoulders and hits a massive Samoan drop. Hy gets a baton from Josh, but Jax pulls it away. Meanwhile, Jay gets up and low blows him from behind. Jay takes Shera down and gets the 3.
WINNERS: LEGACY by pinfall.

This ended the TV taping.
