OVW Special Report: Sinn Gunned Down

This is the OVW Report for Tuesday, September 8, 2020. OVW TV can be seen at 8PM ET on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area with repeats Saturday nights at 9PM, and you can also watch via Youtube, Roku, or Friday nights at 12AM Midnight on Youtoo America! In this special event, Tony Gunn defends the OVW Heavyweight Title against Sinn Bodhi, Dimes defends the Rush Title against Gustavo, plus more!

OVW Overdrive (Airing Saturdays at 11AM):

Bryan Kennison & Steven Johnson are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

"Zero Gravity" AJ Daniels vs. "Category 5" Corey Storm.
A very fast paced match with lots of flips and kicks early. AJ catches Storm with a swinging slam and both men are down. Both men get up and exchange blows. Storm fires up with clotheslines and a kick to the head. Storm throws him to the corner and AJ flips over him and sweeps the leg. He hits the Countdown Kicks, followed by the Zero Gravity Kick and goes up top. He misses with the 450 splash. Storm dropkicks him into the corner, then goes up and hits the Eye of the Storm to the back of AJ's head for the 3.
WINNER: STORM by pinfall.

Flash Thompson, "The Iron Bear" Tom Coffey, Luscious Lawrence, & "The Nephilim" D'mone Solavino vs. Roman Rozell, "The King of Knockouts" KTD, & "The Tate Twins": Brandon & Brent.
The Tates take it to Lawrence early, but he tags in Flash. Brent locks the arm and tags KTD. Flash hits him into the ropes, but off the ropes, KTD with a flying shoulder tackle. KTD pounds him on the mat. Flash with a cheap shot, but KTD hits him with a t-bone suplex. D'mone tags in and runs into an arm drag. Roman tags in and hits the arm and locks in a side headlock. Off the ropes, Lawrence knees Roman in the back. All 8 men start fighting and the ref has to restore order. D'mone hits Roman with a Samoan drop for 2. Flash tags in and kicks him. Snapmare into a headlock. Lawrence tags in and hits a powerslam for 2. Coffey tags in and hits a big bear slam for 2. Flash tags in and Roman tags out to Brandon. Brandon with a back elbow off the ropes and tags Brent. They double faceplant Flash for the 3.
WINNERS: TATES, ROMAN, & KTD by pinfall.

"Chicago's Sweetheart" Missa Kate vs. Skye Blue.
Quick pin attempts. Kate with a boot off the ropes and pounds her on the mat. She chops her in the corner, then throws her hard to the opposite corner. Snap suplex for 2. She chokes her with her boot and throws her down by the hair. She locks in a headlock. Kate places her up top, but Skye kicks her away and hits a flying cross body. Kick to the head, then a superkick for 2. Off the ropes, Kate catches her with a powerslam for 2. Skye fights back and hits Sliced Bread No. 2 for the 3.
WINNER: SKYE by pinfall.

"Action" Ashton Cove & DL3 vs. Omar Amir & Justin Kyle.
Omar & Kyle dominate early, but Cove takes out the knee of Kyle. Cove & DL3 dropkick him and try to work him over, but he comes back with a double suplex and tags Omar. Omar splashes Cove in the corner and takes him down with a hard clothesline. He tags Kyle, and Kyle hits a reverse F5 for the 3.
WINNERS: OMAR & KYLE by pinfall.

Big Zo (w/"The Legacy of Brutality": Ca$h Flo, "Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya, Steve Michaels, & "The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft) vs. Dustin Jackson.
The L.O.B. is sent to the back, except Josh. Dustin with a hip toss to Zo for 2. Zo with some hard shots and a pin attempt for 2. More clubbing blows and a chinlock. He cranks on the neck. He pulls on the arm while stepping on the armpit/shoulder area. Zo with a big suplex. Dustin fights back up and jumps on Zo's back, but Zo rams him into the corner. Dustin fires back again, but runs into a Sa-Zo-an drop. Zo goes for a Zo bomb, but Dustin puts the knees up. Zo takes him back down for 2. Dustin with some hits and chops, and off the ropes, hits a running boot. He goes up top, connects with the splash from above, and gets the 3. He hightails it as the L.O.B. hits the ring.
WINNER: DUSTIN by pinfall.

RUSH CHAMPIONSHIP: Gustavo vs. Dimes (w/Jay Bradley) (c).
Gustavo with several quick roll ups for 2. Dimes hit with a couple dropkicks and Gustavo dives to the outside on him. He then throws Dimes into Jay. Back inside, Dimes distracts the ref and takes out the knee. Gustavo back with some chops and a step up enziguri. Dimes throws him outside and Jay throws Gustavo into the ringpost. Dimes comes out and hits him off the apron. Back in again, Gustavo throws Dimes into the corner. Dimes flips over and jumps off the top rope into a dropkick. He hits the 3 Amigos and climbs up top. He hits a frog splash, but Jay is distracting the ref. Gustavo hits Dimes with a swinging neckbreaker. He goes up again, but Jay gets thrown out distracting the ref again. Dimes hits the ropes, making Gustavo fall. Dimes hits the Change Maker for the 3.
WINNER and STILL RUSH CHAMPION: DIMES by pinfall.

Becky Idol vs. "Hollyhood" Haley J.
Becky with some kicks to the chest for 2. She hits a suplex. Off the ropes, Haley hits Becky with a high knee. Haley with a suplex of her own and pounds away on Becky. She kicks her and throws her to the corner. Becky moves and Haley crashes. Becky with an 8-1-2 in the corner and a huge spinebuster for 2. Haley comes back with a superkick and knee to the head. She hits a double curb stomp for the 3.
WINNER: HALEY J by pinfall.

"Holy Beef": "Big Beef" Gnarls Garvin & Reverend Ronnie Roberts vs. OVW Southern Tag Team Champions "The Legacy of Brutality": Ca$h Flo & "Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya (w/Steve Michaels, "The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft, & Big Zo).
The Legacy tries to attack, but Holy Beef is ready and thwarts the attack. Hy is taken down and Ronnie delivers a legdrop while Garvin splashes him. Ca$h has the ref distracted, so there is no pin. Ca$h tags in and chops Ronnie and clotheslines him hard. Hy works him over. Ca$h tags back in and hits a big slam. He is about to go up top, but Josh tells him to get down and continue the beating. Ronnie rolls him up for 2. Ca$h locks in a bearhug. Ronnie fights up and finally makes the tag to Garvin. Garvin fires away on Hy and hits a dropkick. Ca$h takes him down with a big clothesline. Hy dropkicks Garvin and slams him. He tags Ca$h. Ca$h goes up, but crashes to the mat as Garvin rolls away. Ronnie tags in and kicks Ca$h in the face. He takes Ca$h down and fires away. Ca$h claws his face and slams him. Hy tags and hits the Ninja Vanish for the 3.
WINNERS: LEGACY by pinfall.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: "The Warlord of Weird" Sinn Bodhi vs. "Shotgun" Tony Gunn (c).
Sinn locks up the arm. Gunn reverses, but Sinn hits him in the face. He drops him for a 2 count. Sinn works over the shoulder of Gunn and drops him again for 2. Sinn picks him up the throat and Gunn claps his ears. Sinn takes him down again for 2. Gunn rolls out and pulls Sinn out. Gunn throws him into the ringpost. Back inside, Gunn stomps him and hits him in the ropes. He pins for 2. Gunn knees him in the face. He goes for a suplex, but Sinn rolls him up in a small package for 2. Gunn clotheslines him and goes to hit his head in the turnbuckle. Sinn blocks and hits Gunn into it. He misses a charge. Gunn shoulders him in the gut and leaps in with the flying knee to the face. He catapults him into the bottom rope. Sinn tries to fire back, but Gunn hits him down and chokes him with his boot. Gunn with a suplex for 2. He cranks the neck and Sinn elbows him. He goes off the ropes, but runs into a knee to the midsection. Gunn locks him in another submission. Gunn fires away and slams him twice, but Sinn fires back and slams Gunn. Another slam. He airplane spins him and both men are down. Sinn runs into a boot and avoids another flying knee. Sinn hits the Tallulah Belle for 2 as Gunn gets his foot on the ropes. The ref gets trapped between them and it allows Gunn to hit Sinn with the Killshot for the 3.
WINNER and STILL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: GUNN by pinfall.
