OVW TV 1103: The Inaugural National Champion!

In this episode, the Rumble to crown the inaugural National Heavyweight Champion!

OVW Overdrive (Airing Saturdays at 11AM):

Bryan Kennison & Steven Johnson are on commentary, Ms. Stephanie & Ms. Allie are the ring announcers.

The Haitian Sensation vs. Spencer Slade.

They lock up and Slade drops him to the mat. Haitian comes back and takes Slade down and walks across his back. He hits a back elbow and side slams him for 2. Slade comes back with a takedown and pins for 2. He locks in a sleeper. Haitian works his way up and backdrops him to break the hold. Haitian with some clotheslines and a neckbreaker drop. He charges with an uppercut in the corner and hits the scissor kick for 2. He misses a kick and Slade locks in an ankle lock. Haitian works out and misses another kick. Slade with an Olympic Slam for the 3.

WINNER: SLADE by pinfall.

"Hollyhood" Haley J vs. Dara O'Conley.

Dara takes the fight to Haley early. Haley comes back pounding Dara on the mat. She drops her with a neckbreaker for 2. She hits Dara with a super kick to get the 3.

WINNER: HALEY by pinfall.

"The War Hoss": Crosshairs Kelly & Pat the Bruiser vs. "The Complete Package": "Supernatural" Tony Bizo & "The 6-Tool Product" Anthony Catena.

Kelly & Pat attack Bizo & Catena before the bell. They work over Catena, keeping him grounded and away from his corner. Pat has him locked up, but Catena works up and dropkicks him. He runs into a brick wall as Pat plows into him off the ropes. Kelly tags in and misses a boot in the corner. Bizo gets the hot tag and fires away on both opponents. He takes Kelly down for the pin, but Pat breaks it up. They go for a double team, but Catena saves Bizo. Catena drops Pat with a neckbreaker and then delivers a double team finisher with Bizo on Kelly for the 3.

WINNERS: COMPLETE PACKAGE by pinfall.

Reverend Ronnie Roberts is out and says he is "Mr. Fix-It". He calls out Roman Rozell. He says Roman laid an egg, and a rotten one at that. Roman says he should be the champion, but there was interference. Ronnie brings out Luscious Lawrence & Dillon McQueen. Dillon gets in Roman's face, allowing Luscious to sneak attack Roman.

Roman comes back and locks him up in the Patriot's Wheel.

Lola the Adventurer vs. Reka Tehaka vs. Lacey Ryan.

Quick action between all 3 women. Lacey super kicks Reka, then delivers a running knee to the head of Lola for the 3.

WINNER: LACEY by pinfall.

Jay Bradley (w/Dimes) vs. Omar Amir.

Jay attacks Omar and takes him down. He knees him in the corner and hits a big boot. Dimes accidentally hits Jay and Omar chops him. He splashes him in the corner, then leaps off and has him down for the count, but Dimes runs in and breaks the pin. After the match, KTD runs out, but gets a Boomstick for his troubles.

WINNER: OMAR by DQ.

We open with a 10-bell salute and video package dedicated to the late Road Warrior Animal, followed by a recap of last week's tournament that made Dustin Jackson the final entrant into tonight's rumble.

21-MAN RUMBLE for the NATIONAL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:

Out first is Brian Pillman Jr. The second entrant is Atiba. Tom Chad is next, and he quickly gets eliminated by Pillman & Atiba. Bruce Wayans is next, then Tony Gunn, then Dustin Urich. Dimes is in next, but quickly eliminated also. Hy Zaya is next. Atiba gets eliminated. Manny Lemons is the next one out.

Jessie Godderz is #10. Next out is Barry Koloff, and Wayans gets eliminated. Brother Austin is out next and eliminated quickly by Pillman. Gunn is eliminated. Scrap Iron Lewis is the next man out. Dustin Jackson is next and Lewis is eliminated. Lemons is eliminated. #15 is Howe. Hy is eliminated, and so is Urich. Ca$h Flo is next, followed by Echo. Amon is next. Echo is thrown out. Howe is thrown out. Ca$h chops Dustin off the apron eliminating him. Spencer Slade is next. Ca$h is eliminated. Slade is out. #20 is Jake Crist.

The final entrant is Sinn Bodhi. Amon gets eliminated. Koloff is eliminated. Crist, Godderz, Pillman, & Sinn are the final 4. Jessie eliminates Sinn. Pillman eliminates Crist. Pillman tries to superkick Godderz off the apron, but Shannon the Dude saves him. Godderz eliminates Pillman!

WINNER and INAUGURAL OVW NATIONAL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: JESSIE GODDERZ.

Tony Gunn comes out and says this is bullcrap, he is the best champion in OVW history. Brian Pillman comes back out and Gunn hits him, but runs into a spinebuster. Jessie then clocks Pillman with the title!

This ended the TV taping.
