OVW TV 1151: Suspensions & Second Chances

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, September 2, 2021.

Tonight, two champions clash 1-on-1 as National Champion Jessie Godderz faces Rush Champion Gustavo! The women of OVW are back in action as Dream Girl Ellie goes up against Dani Mo, and a triple threat has Arie Alexander vs. Skylar Orion vs. Charlie Kruel! There's a second chance for 1 of 8 superstars to get back in the Kentucky Title Tournament as Facade, Dustin Jackson, Kal Herro, Dimes, & Star Rider are in a 5-man gauntlet with the winner advancing to a Fatal 4 Way involving Luscious Lawrence, Drew Hernandez, & Hy Zaya, plus much more!

 Sam Knight vs. "The Soldier" Garrisaon Creed

Creed with a chop, but Sam pokes him in the eye and clotheslines him from behind. He hits him in the corner. Creed back with some quick roll-up attempts for 2. Sam plows him down and clubs him. He throws him hard to the opposite corner and delivers a suplex. He charges, but runs into a boot. Creed kicks him in the head, then leaps in from the apron and connects with a DDT for the 3!
WINNER: CREED by pinfall.

Donovan "Bam Bam" Cecil vs. Grayson Douglas Jr
.
They lock up and Cecil throws him down. Grayson locks up the arm. Cecil pulls him into the corner by his hair and throws him to the opposite corner. Grayson flips over and lands on the apron. Grayson kicks him in the head, but Cecil catches him with an inverted atomic drop. He drops his weight down on him, then chokes him in the corner. He slams Grayson hard. He picks him up and slams him off his shoulders, then delivers a big splash for 2. He tries again for another 2 count. He locks in a submission, squeezing Grayson's head. Grayson works his way up and jaw jacks Cecil. He hits a German suplex to Cecil and both men are down. Grayson starts to fire, but Cecil picks him up for a press slam into a Samoan drop. Grayson reverses the Samoan drop attempt into a crucifix pin and gets the 3!
WINNER: GRAYSON by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 1):
Bryan Kennison & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, AJ McKay is the ring announcer.

National Champion "Mr. Pec-Tacular" Jessie Godderz vs. Rush Champion Gustavo.
"Rockstar"
 Ryan Howe
 vs.
 "The Right Hand of God" Sam Knight.
Howe interrupts the introductions playing the guitar. Once he finally stops, he attacks Sam from behind and hits him with the neckbreaker drop for a quick 3!
WINNER: HOWE by pinfall.

We see video of Haley J having to see a therapist.

It's time for the Good Word with
Reverend Ronnie Roberts! He brings out the new OVW Tag Team Champions and asked how they climbed the ladder so fast.
Deget Bundlez says God's blessings, but it's really because they are that dang good. Eric Darkstorm says you don't know about Dark Kloudz until you've climbed the ladder like he did. Deget answers one of his 2 phones during the interview and says he is a very important person. They say they aren't ever losing these titles.

TRIPLE THREAT: Skylar Orion vs. "The Purple Haired Maniac" Charlie Kruel vs. Arie Alexander

Before the match can get started,
Jessie Godderz comes out and says he respects women's wrestling, but doesn't understand why he was put in a match Saturday with the Rush Champion. Gustavo comes out and apologizes to the ladies. The fans call Jessie a chicken and Jessie says they can do this tonight. Gustavo says he hopes Jessie has his dancing shoes...
Orion on the attack early, but Kruel takes charge and snapmares Arie and kicks her in the back. Orion comes back and locks Kruel in a cross armbreaker, but Arie kicks her in the head. Arie fires on both of them and connects with a double DDT to both Orion & Kruel for a double 3 count.
WINNER: ARIE by pinfall.

We see more video of Haley J having to see a therapist.

NON-TITLE MATCH: Matt Vine vs. Heavyweight Champion Omar Amir.
They lock up and Omar plows him down off the ropes. He slams him and splashes him in the corner. He throws him to the opposite corner, but Vine drop toeholds him into the corner turnbuckle. Vine with some elbows to the back of the head and neck. He uppercuts Omar in the corner and charges in, but misses. Omar with hits and chops, then a leaping clothesline off the ropes. He splashes Vine in the corner, misses a clothesline, but avoids a dropkick. He connects with Island Time for the 3.
WINNER: OMAR by pinfall.

We see Ca$h Flo picking on a new wrestler in the back and Blanco Loco (literally) steps up to him on a milk crate and tells him to pick on someone his own size. We then see more video of Haley J having to see a therapist and she says she doesn't want to talk anymore and she'd rather just stay in jail than have to do this.

Ca$h Flo (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft) vs. Blanco Loco.
Loco with some quick offense early. Ca$h is on the outside and Loco goes for a baseball slide. Ca$h moves, but Loco comes back with a kick and hits a 619 around the ringpost. He goes to dive out, but misses. Ca$h rolls him in and chops him. He locks him in a submission. Loco works up, but gets taken back down with a hard chop. Ca$h with a sleeper, but Loco jaw jacks him. He runs off the ropes, but Ca$h plows into him like a truck. Ca$h goes to stomp him, but Loco keeps moving. Loco with an uppercut and a kick. He flies off the ropes, but Ca$h meets him mid-air with a cross body for the 3.
WINNER: CA$H by pinfall.

NON-TITLE MATCH: National Champion "Mr. Pec-Tacular" Jessie Godderz vs. Rush Champion Gustavo.
Gustavo is dancing and Jessie shoves him into the corner. They lock up and Gustavo gets in the ropes. Jessie clean breaks and Gustavo kicks him. Jessie plows him down off the ropes for 2. Jessie charges him in the corner. Gustavo flips over and tries to sunset flip him, but Jessie holds on. He hits Gustavo and goes for a clothesline, but Gustavo dropkicks him out of the ring. Jessie gets in and goes for another clothesline, but Gustavo ducks and hits him with the Kiss of Death for 2. Jessie connects with a hard clothesline and pounds him on the mat. He catapults him under the bottom rope. Jessie picks him up for a press slam and holds him up for several seconds before dropping him to the mat. He covers, but pulls up before 3. Jessie goes for another move, but Gustavo rolls him up in a small package for the 3!
WINNER: GUSTAVO by pinfall.
After the match, Jessie yells at Gustavo on the mic for a rematch. Gustavo says on his terms. He will give him a rematch Saturday in Lexington, but only if he puts his National Title on the line!

OVW TV (HOUR 2):
Bryan Kennison & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, AJ McKay is the ring announcer.

Bryan Kennison
is at ringside and brings out Mahabali Shera. He says sometimes life happens, but he keeps fighting. Unfortunately, he will be unable to compete for the next 3 months because he has a broken ankle. He can still go to the gym, he can still watch OVW...but then he gets interrupted by Ca$h Flo. Ca$h says he stubbed his toe and now he's out, boo-hoo. He says that Shera's undefeated streak is over now!
Al Snow
comes out and says since he bowed out, the undefeated streak is still intact. He then says that himself, along with the Board of Directors came up with a Second Chance opportunity. If you are wondering why not Tony Gunn, he'll explain. Gunn comes out and asks why he wasn't put back in. Al says it's because he struck an official. Gunn says the official blew the call. Al says he's fined and suspended! Gunn says he'll show Al what he thinks about that. He then hits the same official from Saturday and pushes over the steel steps. He hits a chair against the ringpost on his way out, still yelling at Al
.

In the back, we see a party going on because Ryan Howe started it for finding out he had a Heavyweight Title match against Omar Amir Saturday in Lexington.

5-MAN GAUNTLET (WINNER ENTERS SECOND CHANCE FATAL 4 WAY LATER TONIGHT): "Big Money" Dimes vs. "The Neon Ninja" Facade vs. "The Fanny Pack Kid" Kal Herro vs. Dustin Jackson vs. Star Rider.
Facade & Star are the first 2. Star with some quick offense early, but Facade comes back and gets in some hits and kicks. He takes Star down for 2, then chops him in the corner. Star & Facade trade some quick pin attempts. Facade catches Star with a kick to the face. Star with a hurricanrana pinfall for the 3.
WINNER: STAR by pinfall.
Dustin is in next and attacks Star. Dustin with a blue thunder bomb for 2. Star back with a kick for 2. Dustin catches Star with a neckbreaker off his knee for 2. He misses a running boot and Star hits him. They exchange shots, but Star catches him with a knee to the face, then a kick to the face. He dropkicks Dustin into the corner, but runs into a boot. Dustin with a sunset bomb for the 3
.
WINNER: DUSTIN by pinfall.
Dimes is out next. As he does his powder intro on the apron, Dustin dropkicks him off. When he finally goes to get in, he tries to use the powder again, but Dustin hits it into Dimes' own face. He hits the running boot for the 3.
WINNER: DUSTIN by pinfall.
It's a Fanny Pack Party, as Kal is out last to face his tag partner. Dustin with the offense to start, but then Kal comes back with a hard clothesline for 2. Dustin charges Kal, but Kal pulls down the top rope and Dustin flies out. He rolls back in and Kal covers him for 2. Kal drops the kneepad, but runs into a super kick for 2. Dustin goes for the sunset bomb, but Kal drops him for 2. Kal goes for another pin attempt for 2 and gets kicked off into the corner. Dustin covers and gets the 3!
WINNER: DUSTIN by pinfall.
After the match, they hug it out.

Dream Girl Ellie vs. Dani Mo.
Dani locks up the arm, but Ellie stomps on her foot and reverses it. She hits Dani into the corner turnbuckle and then chops her. She runs at Dani, but Dani trips her. Ellie gets some more offense in, but Dani comes back with some kicks to the midsection. She elbows her in the corner and kicks her in the face. Some more kicks in the middle of the ring, and she clotheslines Ellie down. She dropkicks her, but Ellie comes back with a knee. Dani catches her with a Twist of Fate and gets the 3!
WINNER: DANI by pinfall.

Backstage, Ryan Howe says he wrote a special song and wants to know if everyone wants to hear it. He plays the guitar as Dimes crashes the party.

In the back, Ryan Howe is still playing guitar. Omar Amir comes in and they get in a confrontation.

OVW Apocalypse is the next Saturday Night Special coming up October 23rd!

SECOND CHANCE FATAL 4 WAY: "The Mayan Mauler" Drew Hernandez
 vs. "Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft) vs. "Mr. Juicy" Luscious Lawrence vs. Dustin Jackson.
Hy squares off with Luscious while Drew & Dustin go at it. Drew dumps Dustin to the outside and helps Hy double team Luscious. Hy sneaks up on Drew and rolls him up for 2. Luscious tries a quick pin as well. Drew throws Hy to the outside. Drew hits Luscious in the corner, but then gets a butt butt and Rump Thumper. Dustin dropkicks Luscious into Drew, then knocks Hy down into Luscious' family jewels. Hy spears Dustin and pounds him with the quick fists on the mat. The fight spills outside between Luscious, Hy, & Drew. Dustin joins them after diving out onto all 3 of them. Hy kicks Drew in the head. Back inside, Hy kicks him again and knees him in the corner. Luscious & Drew exchange blows in the middle of the ring, then double clothesline each other. Hy spiders across the ropes and goes up top. Dustin is also going up. Drew & Luscious hit the ropes and knock them both saddle sore across the top turnbuckle. Luscious superplexes Hy while Drew superplexes Dustin simultaneously! Luscious & Drew start exchanging shots again. Luscious with an atomic drop, but runs into a spinebuster. Dustin takes Drew down, then Hy takes Dustin down. Hy runs into Josh on the apron. Drew & Dustin spill out to the floor, then Luscious hits Hy with the One Night Stand for the 3.
WINNER: LUSCIOUS by pinfall.

This ended the TV taping.
