OVW TV 1154: Kentucky Title Tag Turmoil

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, September 23, 2021.

Tonight, the Final Four of the Kentucky Title Tournament compete in tag team action as Ca$h Flo & Tony Bizo take on Luscious Lawrence & Reverend Ronnie Roberts, the Rush Champion Gustavo meets former champion Star Rider, Dream Girl Ellie is in action against Women's Champion Sierra, Hy Zaya is in 1-on-1 action against Facade, IMPACT's Gia Miller debuts at Davis Arena against Dani Mo, plus much more!

Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

"The Nephilim"
D'mone Solavino vs. "The Sultan of the Sky" Blanco Loco (w/Axton Ray)

D'mone pulls Loco by the mask and slings him down. Loco back with an arm drag and cross body off the ropes. D'mone pulls Loco into the turnbuckle and shoulders him into the corner. D'mone locks him up around the waist. Loco elbows out, but D'mone knees him and throws him to the corner. Loco back with a kick to the head. He charges at D'mone, but gets hung up across the top turnbuckle. D'mone knees him in the side and stomps him. He locks Loco in the abdominal stretch. D'mone uses the ropes for leverage. Loco hip tosses him and leaps over a charge. He kicks D'mone in the gut, stomps his hands, then kicks him in the face. D'mone elbows him as he charges in, but D'mone locks him up in the corner to hit his double foot stomp and German suplex. Loco finishes him off, picking up the 3.
WINNER: LOCO by pinfall.

"The Legacy of Brutality"
: Big Zo & Steve Michaels (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft) vs. The Wanderer & ZDP
.
ZDP goes after Zo, but Zo catches him and slams him over his head. Steve tags in, knocks Wanderer off the apron, then splashes ZDP in the corner. Zo throws ZDP into the corner where Wanderer tags in. He doesn't fare much better. Zo throws him to the corner and hits the cartwheel butt bump and back elbows. Zo & Steve continue to make tags and club down Wanderer. Steve is squeezing his head, but Wanderer gives him a chinbuster and tags ZDP. ZDP runs into a clothesline, then Zo & Steve deliver a double chokeslam and get the 3.
WINNERS: LEGACY by pinfall.

Brandon Espinosa vs. "The Veteran" Jack Vaughn
.
Jack chops him and Espy rolls under the ropes to avoid him. Espy pulls his head down across the top rope. He hits a running cross body and pounds on him. Jack catches him with an airplane spin. Espy comes back and works him over, but Jack is back with a bionic elbow and powerbomb for 2. Espy comes back with an underhook DDT. He then hits him with a roundhouse kick to the face for the 3.
WINNER: ESPINOSA by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 1):
Bryan Kennison & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

Matt Vine vs. "Unforgettable" Axton Ray (w/Blanco Loco).
They lock up around the ring. Quick exchanges. Vine pulls Ray by the hair to the corner and throws him to the one opposite. He runs into a back elbow. Ray takes control, but then eats a back elbow also. Ray to the apron, but leaps in with a sunset flip for 1. Ray catches him with a kick to the head, then goes up top. He leaps off, but Vine jumps up and dropkicks him in mid-air. Vine with a kneedrop for 2. Vine connects with a neckbreaker, but Ray gets out at 2. Ray is thrown to the ropes, but comes back with a knee to the face. He hits a flipping stunner, but misses a moonsault. Vine bulldogs him into the corners, but Ray comes back with a flip over roll up to get the 3!
WINNER: AXTON by pinfall.

"The Rhinestone Cowgirl"
 GLAM vs. Dani Mo.
Quick exchanges early on. Dani monkey flips GLAM out of the corner. GLAM with an x-factor. Some more back and forth, but Dani gains control after a facebuster. She charges GLAM in the corner with a back elbow. She gets her up on her shoulders and connects with a TKO, but GLAM rolls over into the ropes. GLAM charges, but Dani kicks her and connects with a Twist of Fate for the 3.
WINNER: DANI by pinfall.

Omar Amir is in a confrontation with Viva Las Amish in the back. Ryan Howe comes up and says he is his bodyguard, see how that works? Omar says he doesn't need Ryan's help.

"The Candidate for a Brighter Future in Wrestling"
 Koda Jacobs & Brent Castle vs. 
"The Box Office Blonds": 
"Hollywood" Adam Swayze & Big Rex.
Rex takes the fight to Castle and throws him around like a rag doll. He hits his face into Adam's boots. Koda tags in, but runs right into Rex. He doesn't fare better, but does rake the eyes of Rex before tagging Castle back in. Castle leaps right into Rex's arms and gets a fall away slam. The Blonds deliver the Final Cut to him and pick up the 3.
WINNERS: BLONDS by pinfall.

NON-TITLE MATCH: Star Rider vs. Rush Champion Gustavo.
They lock up and clean break. They lock up again and Gustavo with a little shot to the midsection. Some quick moves and Gustavo takes Star down with an arm drag and dropkick for 1. Star catches Gustavo with a back breaker and a dropkick of his own for 2. Star drops a knee to the back. Star shoulders Gustavo in the back in the corner. Off the ropes, Gustavo flips Star to the outside. He goes to baseball slide out, but Star ducks and rams him into the apron. Back inside, Star covers for 2. Gustavo with some chops and hits, but Star with another dropkick for 2. Star catches him with a back body drop for 2. Star goes for a suplex, but Gustavo flips over and hits some forearm shots. They exchange blows and Star catches him with a knee. Off the ropes again, Gustavo flips him into a tornado DDT. Both men are down. Gustavo crawls over and covers for 2. Star with a kick to the head and goes to go up, but Gustavo catches him and goes for a superplex. Star hits him off and connects with the 5-Star Frog Splash for the 3!
WINNER: STAR by pinfall.

"Hood Ninja"
 Hy Zaya vs. "The Neon Ninja" Facade.
Stalemate early. They both exchange some chops and kicks. Off the ropes, Hy catches him with a hook clothesline. Off the ropes again, both men take each other down with a clothesline. Hy gets him in the corner and hits and kicks him. Facade reverses and chops him. He runs off the ropes, but Hy clotheslines him down. Hy with a leg sweep. Off the ropes, Facade knocks Hy out to the floor. He jumps off the ropes as Hy rolls in and lands on the apron. Facade shoulders him, but Hy takes him down and locks him in a submission. Facade works his way out and hits some kicks, but Hy catches him with a Russian leg sweep. He goes up top and Facade leaps up and kicks him in the head. Hy falls to the floor. Facade leaps out onto Hy. He rolls him in and goes to leap in from the apron. Hy kicks his feet out and covers him for 2. They exchange hip toss attempts to the apron. They both kick each other down to the floor.
Steve Michaels & Big Zo come out and attack them both. In the ring, Hy & Facade fight back and both super kick Zo & Steve each out of the ring!
NO CONTEST.

OVW TV (HOUR 2):
Bryan Kennison & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT OPEN CHALLENGE: "Big Money" Dimes vs. "Shotgun" Tony Gunn
.
Dimes tries a quick Change Maker, but Tony shoves him off and nails the Killshot. This one is over quick.
WINNER: GUNN by pinfall.
After the match, Gunn destroys the ringside area.

We see another confrontation between Ryan Howe & Omar Amir in the back. Howe tells Omar he should just hit him and get it over with. Omar disagrees.

Dream Girl Ellie vs. Women's Champion Sierra
.
Ellie fires away on Sierra in the corner. Sierra pushes her away, but Ellie comes right back. She shoulders her in the corner and kicks her in the face. She hits a running clothesline to a seated Sierra. Sierra comes back, pounding away and yelling that this is her division. She knees Sierra in the corner, then locks in a Boston crab. Ellie crawls to the ropes for the break. Sierra stretches her in the ropes, then dropkicks her in the back. Ellie fires back and hits a super kick, but Sierra fires back with a big right. She nails the back cutter and gets the 3.
WINNER: SIERRA by pinfall.

"Viva Las Amish"
: 
Danny Vegas & Hezekiah Hoskins (w/Betsy the Chicken) vs. "The Tate Twins": Brandon & Brent.
Total domination by the Tates. Viva Las Amish could never get any offense or momentum going. With Vegas on the outside, the Tates hit a double front faceplant on Hoskins for the 3.
WINNERS: TATES by pinfall.

"Flawless"
Jake Lawless vs. "Rockstar" Ryan Howe.
Howe with control early. He hits Jake's head into the turnbuckle repeatedly while yelling "rock 'n' roll". Jake comes back and rams Howe's head into the turnbuckle, then hits a kick to the face. Howe comes back and hits a backbreaker. Jake fights back and hits a standing moonsault, then locks Howe up in a submission. Howe comes back with an uppercut and misses the fistdrop. Jake with a kick and leaps in from the top rope for 2. Howe comes back and nails the spike DDT for the 3.
WINNER: HOWE by pinfall.
After the match, Jake tries to hit Howe with a chair from behind while he plays guitar. Omar Amir (unfortunately) runs out and stops Jake. Howe then attacks Jake from behind and stomps him.

"The Complete Package"
 Tony Bizo (w/Dr. Ricky Jones & "Hollyhood" Haley J) & Ca$h Flo (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft) vs. "Mr. Juicy" Luscious Lawrence & Reverend Ronnie Roberts.
A fight breaks out all around ringside. Bizo & Ca$h take the upperhand. Once the bell finally rings, Bizo & Ca$h continue to pound away on Ronnie. Jones even gets in on the action, choking Ronnie. Bizo holds Ronnie for a Ca$h chop, but Ronnie kicks his hand away. Bizo is able to club Ronnie down, and Ca$h catches Ronnie as he tries to leap for a tag to Luscious and slams him down. He chops Ronnie in the corner and Bizo tags back in. Ronnie tries to fight free, hitting Bizo and clotheslining Ca$h out of the ring. Before he can make the tag, Ca$h pulls Luscious off the apron. He finally gets the hot tag as Ca$h also tags out to Bizo. Bizo is up for the One Night Stand, but Ca$h saves him. They double team Luscious, as Ronnie gets back in to try and help. Ronnie & Bizo fight on one side of the ring as Ca$h & Luscious fight to the outside on the opposite side. The ref calls for the bell.
NO CONTEST.
