OVW TV 1161: Stop the Rock!

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, November 11, 2021.
 
Tonight:
-Women's tag team action as Katie Gannon & Judi-Rae Hendrix go up against Miranda Gordy & Haley J!
-Kentucky Champion Luscious Lawrence is in action against AJ Daniels!
-Dani Mo will face Shawna Reed!
-Rush Champion Gustavo goes 1-on-1 with Damian Chambers!

"A1 Since Day 1"
 ZDP vs. Paragon
.
ZDP shoves him in the face and rakes his face across the top rope. Paragon hits him in the corner, but he runs into a back elbow. Paragon drops ZDP and locks in an ankle lock. Paragon with a high knee. Off the ropes, ZDP twirls around Paragon and locks him in a full Nelson. Paragon back elbows him, then connects with a Rock bottom to get the 3.
WINNER: PARAGON by pinfall.

"Double A"
 Arie Alexander vs. "The Queen of the North" Freya the Slaya.
Arie tries to attack the leg, but Freya slings her across the ring. She misses a charge and Arie fires away. She tries for a snapmare, but Freya shoves her off and kicks her in the chest. She slings her across the ring again and hits a Samoan drop. She drops a big legdrop and gets the 1-2-3. 
WINNER: FREYA by pinfall.

"Flawless"
 Jake Lawless vs. Beast Man.
Beast controls early with a big size advantage. He headbutts, slams, and delivers 2 cannonballs to Jake in the corner! He decides to try and go up top, but Jake hits the ropes, making Beast crash to the amt. He covers him with half his body in the ropes for leverage to get the 3. 
WINNER: LAWLESS by pinfall.

"The Veteran"
 Jack Vaughn vs. "The Prizefighter" Sam Knight.
Sam fires away on Jack, then Jack knees him and hits him in the corner. Jack chokes him with his boot and headbutts him. He chops him in 2 separate corners, then Sam reverses and gets in some chops of his own. Jack catches him with a back elbow. He elbows him on the top of the head. Sam tries to fire back, but Jack shoulders him into the corner. Jack goes for a suplex, but Sam blocks it. Jack instead knees him. He misses a bionic elbow and Sam dropkicks him. He charges, but Jack moves and Sam crashes into the ringpost. Jack hits the big lariat for the 3. 
WINNER: VAUGHN by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 1):
Bryan Kennison & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, Eric Cornish & Linda Kay are the ring announcers.

"Superior"
 Tony Evans & "The Mercenary" Garrisaon Creed
 vs. Ca$h Flo & "Big Money" Dimes (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft).
Ca$h double clotheslines Creed & Evans. He throws Evans out and goes after Creed. He tags Dimes in and Dimes delivers some baby chops, then flexes at Evans. When Evans tries to get in, Ca$h sneaks in and delivers some big hard chops. Dimes gets taken into the wrong corner and double teamed by Evans & Creed. He gets the tag back to Ca$h, who runs over Creed & Evans. He hits Evans with a running cross body in the corner, then chokeslams Creed. He goes to do the same to Evans, but Dimes wants in. Dimes comes in to try and chokeslam him. Ca$h has to get back in and put him on his shoulders and help him with the chokeslam to get the 3. 
WINNERS: CA$H & DIMES by pinfall.

Prince Ahmed vs. "The Star of the Show" Star Rider.
Gustavo comes out and joins commentary. Star with a high knee off the ropes, but he misses a charge. Ahmed tries to pin for 2. He pulls Star down on his shoulder, then hits a backbreaker for 2. Star comes back with a takedown, coup de grace, and super kick. He goes up top and hits Orion's Belt for the 3.
WINNER: STAR by pinfall.

Judi-Rae Hendrix & Katie "Oh My" Gannon vs. "The Fabulous Freebabes": Miranda Gordy & "Hollyhood" Haley J.
The Freebabes control against Judi early. She makes a tag out to Katie. Katie fairs better, dropkicking Haley and hitting her in the corner. Judi tags back in and controls against Haley, picking up some near falls. Judi takes Haley down and poses, allowing Gordy to get a hot tag. Katie tags in also and Gordy takes her down for 2 as Judi gets in to break the pin. Haley gets in and throws Judi out of the ring, then superkicks Katie. Gordy hits Katie with a powerbomb for the 3.
WINNERS: FREEBABES by pinfall.

NON-TITLE MATCH: "Mr. Zero Gravity" AJ Daniels vs. Kentucky Champion "Mr. Juicy" Luscious Lawrence.
Luscious controls early and hits the butt butt. He butts AJ in the corner and throws him across the ring. He goes for another, but AJ flips over him. He charges, but Luscious boots him in the face. He sets up for the One Night Stand, but AJ slides out and goes for a kick. Luscious catches his boot and takes him down with the fameasser. He hits AJ with the One Night Stand and gets the 3. 
WINNER: LUSCIOUS by pinfall.

"The Mayan Mauler"
Drew Hernandez vs. "The Neon Ninja" Facade.
Drew with a hard takedown. He locks up with him and Facade climbs the ropes and leaps down with an arm drag. Facade ducks a wild right and hits a kick to the face of Drew. Facade chops him, but misses a moonsault off the ropes. Drew with a big shoulder tackle. They exchange chops, then Facade with a flurry of hits and kicks. Facade with another kick to the side of Drew's head for 2. Facade with a springboard moonsault for 2. Facade goes to leap out, but Drew moves. Facade lands on the apron and kicks Drew in the face. He rolls him in, then dives in, but Drew catches him and hits a spinebuster. He covers for 2. He sets up for a big shoulder tackle, but Facade dives over him and Drew crashes in the corner. Facade goes up top and hits the leaping boot to the face for the 3.
WINNER: FACADE by pinfall.

TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: 
"The Fanny Pack Party": Dustin Jackson & "The Fanny Pack Kid" Kal Herro vs. "Dark Kloudz""Elusive" Eric Darkstorm & "Hustler" Deget Bundlez 
(c).
Dark Kloudz attacks the FPP before the bell rings. They double team Dustin after throwing Kal out. Off the ropes, Dustin kicks Deget and ducks a clothesline from Eric. Dustin dropkicks Eric, then arm drags Eric down and locks up the arm. Dustin is rolling until Deget pulls him down into the corner. Kal tags in and so does Eric. Kal fires on him and Eric is hit by the super kick/running boot combo from Dustin & Kal, but Deget jumps in with a title and clocks Kal to break the pin. 
WINNERS: FANNY PACK PARTY by DQ, but STILL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: DARK KLOUDZ.

OVW TV (HOUR 2):
Bryan Kennison & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, Eric Cornish & Linda Kay are the ring announcers.

Reverend Ronnie Roberts is out for another edition of the Good Word.
Tonight's special guest is
Ryan Howe. Howe says he traveled all the way from Seattle to be here in Kansas City and he even lost his voice, but came here anyway to entertain these good people. Ronnie talks to him about being champion and asks him what he'd do if someone threw out a challenge. Howe asks who. William Shatner? Sonny? Ronnie is talking about himself! Howe says maybe down the line if he beat him first, and Ronnie says there you have it...he will face Howe tonight and if he wins, he will get the title shot at Thanksgiving Thunder
!

"The Daughter of 1,000 Maniacs" 
Shawna Reed
 vs. Dani Mo.
Dani with some quick offense early to keep Reed off balance. Reed back with some hard shots in the corner and some running double knees. She kicks Dani in the gut, then they exchange shots in the middle of the ring as Freya the Slaya runs out and double clotheslines them. Freya with a fall away slam to Reed, then catches Dani as she leaps at her. Dani slides out and clotheslines Freya out of the ring! 
NO CONTEST.

Damian Chambers vs. Rush Champion Gustavo.
Star Rider returns the favor and comes out for commentary. Quick back and forth early. Gustavo with a headscissor takedown and cover for 2. Gustavo focuses on Star and Damian hits his head into the turnbuckle. Damian with a big backdrop for 2. Damian locks in a sleeper and Gustavo works his way up. Damian catches him off the ropes and hits a neckbreaker off his knee for 2. Gustavo comes back with the Salina Del Sol for the 3.
WINNER: GUSTAVO by pinfall.

Freddie Hudson
 vs. "The End of the World" Jake Omen.
Freddie fires away on Omen. Omen back with knees to the midsection. He chops him and clotheslines him in the corner. He hits a t-bone suplex and elbows him in the chest. Omen with a backbreaker and a forward suplex. He connects with the Shining Wizard and gets the 3.
WINNER: OMEN by pinfall.
After the match,
Eric Cornish interviews Omen. He says Omen has been away for 2 months traveling all over the world. Omen says he has been to Finland, Romania, and really working hard...but they are interrupted by Jessie Godderz. Jessie said he heard international and he's the National Heavyweight Champion, representing the good old red, white, and blue. He is about to show Omen what it means to be a champion...
NON-TITLE MATCH: Paragon
 vs. National Champion "Mr. Pec-Tacular" Jessie Godderz.
Jessie makes quick work of Paragon, hitting him in the corner, then delivering a TKO for the 3.
WINNER: GODDERZ by pinfall.
After the match, Jessie asks how long that took. The official time was 55 seconds. He tells Omen that if he can beat that next week, he might give him a shot at the title!

NON-TITLE MATCH: Heavyweight Champion "Rockstar" 
Ryan Howe
 vs. Reverend Ronnie Roberts.
Ryan with a hit and slam, but misses a fistdrop. Ronnie comes back firing and Howe rolls out. Ronnie reaches out to grab him, but Howe pulls his head down across the rope. Howe uses a pick illegally to hurt Ronnie. He locks in a sleeper. Ronnie tries to work up, but Howe drops him and hits a backbreaker, stretching his back across his knee. Ronnie fires back and hits a chinbuster. Howe kicks out his leg and chokes him in the ropes. Ronnie comes back with a Russian leg sweep and goes for the legdrop, but Howe pulls him down and stomps him in the midsection. He slams Ronnie and hits the fistdrop for 2. He stretches him in a submission, and Ronnie tries to get up. Howe pulls him back to the mat by his tights. He chokes him and the ref catches him using the guitar pick. He takes it away and Ronnie starts to fire back. He back elbows Howe and Howe falls outside. Ronnie goes out after him. Howe hits him and kicks him in the head from the apron. Back inside, Howe goes up, but Ronnie avoids a leap. He also avoids a charge and Howe hits the corner post. Ronnie with some uppercuts and a legdrop. He goes for the Mighty Hand, but Howe blocks it and goes for the neckbreaker drop. Ronnie slides out and rolls him up for the quick 3. 
WINNER: RONNIE by pinfall.

This ended the TV taping.
