OVW TV 1222: Grappling with the Godderz Gang

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, January 12, 2023.

 

TONIGHT:

-We hear from the NEW OVW National Champion, Jessie Godderz, and his new "gang" (EC3, Adam Revolver, OVW Rush Division Champion Luke Kurtis, & Shannon the Dude) about their next steps in OVW!

-In Women's action, the new #1 contender Haley J goes up against a former Women's Champion in Leila Grey, and Tiffany Nieves & Arie Alexander team up against the duo of Judi Rae & Jada Stone!

-After being embarrassed at the Nightmare Rumble, Tony Bizo leads the Royal Family into action against the Fallen!

-A huge tag match will pit the Outrunners against the Derby City Destroyers!

-Plus, fatal 5 way Rush Division action with Kal Herro vs. Star Rider vs. Hy Zaya vs. Maximo Suave vs. Danny Astro, Crixus is back against Tony Evans, and much more!

OVW TV (HOUR 1):

Josh Ashcraft, Bryan Kennison, & Dancin' Stevie J are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

Jessie Godderz comes out with Shannon the Dude, Adam Revolver, & Luke Kurtis. Jessie talks about his win and how they are the new force in OVW. EC3 appears on video and says he is going to lead these great men, these great champions, and show them how to control their narrative. Ca$h Flo interrupts with a big chain in hand and says if the locker room door had not been chained and padlocked shut, he would have came out to help Tony Gunn and bash all their brains in. Luke calls him a fat slob and says there is a reason he is no longer a champion. Ca$h tells him to put his money where his mouth is. He is going to pull some strings and see him in the ring later tonight!

"The Spark" Jada Stone & Judi Rae vs. "La Princesa" Tiffany Nieves & "Double A" Arie Alexander.

Arie & Tiffany control early against Judi. Hot tag to Jada. All 4 women end up in the ring. Arie & Judi fight to the outside and Jada hits Tiffany with a split-legged stunner. She follows it up with a handstand moonsault for the 3.

WINNERS: JADA & JUDI by pinfall.

"Superior" Tony Evans vs. "The Scottish War Machine" Crixus.

Tony says he is superior to everyone and calls out anyone from the back. Crixus is out and Tony jumps him, but Crixus quickly takes control. Crixus gets poked in the eye, but ducks a swinging backhand. Crixus connects with the Glasgow Kiss for the 3.

WINNER: CRIXUS by pinfall.

"The Fallen": ZDP, "The Dark Reverend" Ronnie Roberts, & "The Nephilim" D'mone Solavino vs. "The Royal Family": "The Complete Package" Tony Bizo & "Dark Kloudz": "Hustla" Deget Bundlez & "Elusive" Eric Darkstorm (w/Dr. Ricky Jones).

The Fallen meet the Royal Family on the entrance ramp and start to brawl. In the end, Deget is down and Bizo & Jones have their backs turned on the outside. The Fallen hit Eric with a triple neckbreaker drop and ZDP covers for the 3.

WINNERS: THE FALLEN by pinfall.

OVW Rush Division Champion "Certified" Luke Kurtis (w/Shannon the Dude) vs. Ca$h Flo.

Luke is reluctant to get in, so Ca$h finally brings him in the hard way. Ca$h controls much of the match, even going after Shannon as he tries to stick his nose into things. Ca$h hits the running cross body and goes up top for the Payload, but Jessie Godderz & Adam Revolver run out and push him off and attack him.

WINNER: CA$H by DQ.

OVW TV (HOUR 2):

Josh Ashcraft, Bryan Kennison, & Dancin' Stevie J are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

Luscious Lawrence & Omar Amir are out to talk about the Nightmare Rumble and call Jessie Godderz and his gang of Shannon the Dude, Adam Revolver, Mahabali Shera, EC3, & Luke Kurtis a bunch of fruit booties. Shannon, Jessie, Adam, & Luke come out to the ramp and Shannon says they won't keep those titles for long. He says any 2 of them on stage will fight them tonight. Omar & Luscious choose Jessie & Adam.

FATAL 5 WAY RUSH DIVISION #1 CONTENDER'S MATCH: Danny Astro vs. Maximo Suave vs. vs. "The Fanny Pack Kid" Kal Herro vs. "The Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya vs. "The Star of the Show" Star Rider.

After the match begins, Ryan Von Rockit comes out to ringside. He joins commentary and wants to know who will be #1 contender for his title. Bryan & Josh try to explain to him that it's for the Rush Division Title, not the Kentucky Title. Inside, Hy watches as the other 4 fight and waits to pick the right time. Star comes in firing on everyone and super kicks Kal, who just hit the Fanny Pack Knee on Hy. Star goes up top, but gets distracted by Ryan playing the guitar at ringside. Hy hits Star with a Dragon Driver and picks up the 3.

WINNER: HY ZAYA by pinfall.

"The Derby City Destroyers": Big Zo & "Big Beef" Gnarls Garvin vs. "The Outrunners": Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd.

A good tag match. Zo & Beef work really well together, but the Outrunners steal one after Truth pulls Zo down by his hair with Turbo on top of him and then holds his hand for leverage to pick up the 3.

WINNERS: OUTRUNNERS by pinfall.

"The Unstoppable Danger" Leila Grey vs. "Hollyhood" Haley J.

A good match that's interrupted by Shawna Reed. She spits the red mist, but gets Leila. Haley drops her with a DDT and checks on Leila.

NO CONTEST.

"Mr. PEC-Tacular" Jessie Godderz & Adam Revolver (w/Shannon the Dude) vs. "Mr. Juicy" Luscious Lawrence & Omar Amir.

A distraction by Shannon allows Luke Kurtis to sneak in the ring and nail Omar in the back of the head with his Rush Title. Jessie tags in to pick up the 3.

WINNERS: GODDERZ & REVOLVER by pinfall.
