OVW TV 1223: No Fallin' for the Fallen's Tricks!

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, January 19, 2023.

 

TONIGHT:

-What's next from the Godderz Gang?

-A huge tag match will pit the OVW Tag Team Champions Luscious Lawrence & Omar Amir against former tag team champions Dark Kloudz!

-In Rush Division action, Hy Zaya goes up against Blanco Loco!

-In Women's action, Dream Girl Ellie goes up against Jada Stone, Arie Alexander & Tiffany Nieves tag up against the duo of Freya the Slaya & Alice Crowley, and Leila Grey looks for some payback against Shawna Reed!

-Tony Bizo goes 1-on-1 with the Kentucky Heavyweight Champion Ryan Von Rockit!

-Plus, Crixus collides with Jack Vaughn, the team of Kal Herro, Anthony Catena, & Dimes meet up to face the Fallen, and much more!

OVW TV (HOUR 1):

Josh Ashcraft, Bryan Kennison, & Dancin' Stevie J are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

Shannon the Dude & Adam Revolver come to the ring. STD says that he is not only the Radio Heavyweight Champion, but the best manager of the most dominant faction that OVW has ever seen. Soon they will hold all the gold. Ca$h Flo interrupts and tells STD that he wants Jessie Godderz & EC3 in a match at Tough Love. STD asks if he is really stupid enough to fight them 2 on 1. Ca$h says they have ticked off plenty of people in the back and he knows he can easily make one phone call and will have someone to face them at Tough Love!

"The Sultan of the Sky" Blanco Loco vs. "The Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya.

A quick paced match. Hy gets the wind knocked out of him, but Loco was hurting in the ribs also. Hy grabs him and Loco seems to throw up through his mask all over the ring. Hy quickly rolls him up to get the 3, then checks on Loco with the ref as OVW goes to commercial.

WINNER: HY ZAYA by pinfall.

We hear from Mahabali Shera via video. He says he is so happy and likes being in control with his new group. They are the name of the game.

"Big Al" Alice Crowley & "The Queen of the North" Freya the Slaya vs. "Double A" Arie Alexander & "La Princesa" Tiffany Nieves.

A quick start to the offense by Arie & Tiffany, but then Freya & Alice take control. They work over Tiffany and try to keep her cornered and away from tagging in Arie. Tiffany finally makes the hot tag. Arie comes in firing on Alice and takes her down for 2. Freya breaks the pin, then Tiffany comes in and all 4 women are in the ring. Arie & Freya fight to the outside. Tiffany gets hit with 2 Big Hurt backdrops from Alice. Arie gets back in the ring after pushing Freya into the ringpost. She comes up behind Alice and hits the German Suplex for the 3.

WINNERS: ARIE & TIFFANY by pinfall.

On video, Luke Kurtis says he's okay with getting his shoes a little dirty and he is with this new group because he knows how to get the job done.

"Superior" Tony Evans vs. Dustin Jackson.

Tony picks up a surprise win after nailing Dustin with a modified atomic drop for the 1-2-3.

WINNER: EVANS by pinfall.

On video, EC3 says why these men, why at this time? He says to control the narrative, you must control OVW.

Jessie Godderz on video from one of his vacation homes says that the cat's out of the bag. He was putting together this group of friends, and who in OVW can stop them? The answer is nobody!

"Dark Kloudz": "Hustla" Deget Bundlez & "Elusive" Eric Darkstorm (w/Tony Bizo) vs. OVW Tag Team Champions "Mr. Juicy" Luscious Lawrence & Omar Amir.

Omar thwarts off the Dark Kloudz and gets a hot tag to Luscious. Luscious comes in with clotheslines and a powerslam. He goes for the Meet the Cheeks in the corner, but Deget reverses it into an Alabama Slam for 2. Omar breaks the pin and tags back in. Deget & Eric go for Scattered Showers, but Omar breaks free and rolls Deget up for the 3.

WINNERS: OMAR & LUSCIOUS by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 2):

Josh Ashcraft, Bryan Kennison, & Dancin' Stevie J are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

"The Fallen": "The Detroit Devil" ZDP, "The Dark Reverend" Ronnie Roberts, & "The Nephilim" D'mone Solavino vs. "The Fanny Pack Kid" Kal Herro, Anthony Catena, & "Big Money" Dimes.

Catena gets a hot tag for his team. As Dimes & Kal fight with D'mone & ZDP on the floor, Catena hot shots Reverend over the top rope and hits the Future Charm. He goes up top and nails a flying elbow drop to get the 3.

WINNERS: CATENA, KAL, & DIMES by pinfall.

"The Veteran" Jack Vaughn vs. "The Scottish War Machine" Crixus.

A hard-hitting contest. Jack sets up for the lariat, but Crixus catches him with a flying Glasgow Kiss for the 3.

WINNER: CRIXUS by pinfall.

After the match, Crixus challenges Adam Revolver to a match at Tough Love.

"The Spark" Jada Stone vs. Dream Girl Ellie.

A competitive match and a good showing from both women, but Jada picks up the 3 and the win after a split-legged stunner and a standing moonsault.

WINNER: JADA by pinfall.

"The Complete Package" Tony Bizo vs. Kentucky Heavyweight Champion Ryan Von Rockit.

Ryan is in control and sets up for the neckbreaker drop, but Star Rider sneaks out and grabs Ryan's guitar. Ryan gets distracted and it allows Bizo to roll him up with a handful of tights for the 3.

WINNER: BIZO by pinfall.

"The Derby City Destroyers": "Big Beef" Gnarls Garvin & Big Zo vs. "The Outrunners": Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd.

A rematch from last week and a hard-hitting matchup as you would expect. The Outrunners set up for their finisher, but Zo pulls Truth down by his hair off the ropes. Beef with a hard clothesline to Turbo from behind and he picks up the 1-2-3.

WINNERS: DESTROYERS by pinfall.

"The Daughter of 1,000 Maniacs" Shawna Reed vs. "The Unstoppable Danger" Leila Grey.

Shawna has Leila down and sets up to spit that red mist onto her. Haley J runs out and pushes Leila out of the way and spears Shawna. She pounds away on her on the mat as the Fallen come out and surround the ring. They get in and surround Haley & Leila as Shawna shoots back up. Kal Herro, Anthony Catena, & Dimes run out to even the odds.
