ICYMI: NEW OVW Heavyweight Champion!

In case you missed it on Twitter @ovwrestling or @thebriancannon, or on Ohio Valley Wrestling's official Facebook page, there is a NEW OVW Heavyweight Champion following the live event in E-Town! A surprise turn of events started the night out when Josh Ashcraft & Devin Driscoll claimed he was too injured to compete. OVW founder Danny Davis then came out and said he was in charge for the night, and if Driscoll didn't compete in the triple threat against Rocco Bellagio & Big Jon, he would be stripped of the title. Driscoll chose not to compete, meaning there would be a NEW Heavyweight Champion by night's end. When the dust settled, it was BIG JON who prevailed, becoming the NEW OVW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, and a dual champion as he still holds the OVW Television Title as well.
Also from last night (credit: Jon Barnes):
-Billy Ocean defeats Rump Thump. (Rump attacks Ocean, shoves down Gilbert Corsey following the match).
-Trevor Steele & Tyler Matrix defeat the Van Zandt Family Circus (Ringmaster & Little Damion).
-Tony Gunn defeats Bud Dwight 2 falls to 1.
-The Tag Buddies (Adam Revolver & Rev. Stu Miles) defeat the Assassin & Oso Rayos.

  2. I'm sure Mr. OVW can give more but Jason Wayne also had both belts at the same time.
