OVW TV #741: "OMG! Spade vs. Shiloh"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, October 30, 2013. This episode can be seen online starting tomorrow at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Johnny Spade wants to know what it takes to get a title shot, Jay Bradley sets up another 3-man gauntlet for himself, the Bodyguy calls out the Assassin, the #1 contenders are decided for the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Taeler Hendrix vs. Hannah Blossom (w/Holly).
Hannah & Holly pass out candy to the crowd. Taeler takes the bowl of candy from Hannah and gets chased around the ring. She gets trapped between the Blossoms and throws the candy in the air and runs in the ring. Taeler rolls Hannah up with a handful of tights for a quick 3.
WINNER: TAELER by pinfall.

Lei'D Tapa b. Jessie Belle by pinfall.

"The Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling" Dylan Bostic vs. Stephon J. Baxter III.
Dylan controls early, but Stephon starts to fight back. He misses the Rump Thump, but grabs Dylan by his tights. Dylan distracts the ref and kicks Stephon low and gets the pin.
WINNER: BOSTIC by pinfall.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on OVW's official website late Thursday afternoon/evening at www.ovwrestling.com/tv and on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM with replays Wednesdays at 9PM after WWE Main Event.

Timmy Danger comes out and blabs about what happened last week and hands the mic off to Johnny Spade. Spade says he can't seem to get a title shot, apparently he has to earn one. The Marauders' music interrupts and Spade says "OMG! It's Shiloh Jonze!", a reference to their former tag team name.
Shiloh is mad that Spade cost him last week and says when you mess with one Marauder, you mess with all the Marauders. Spade says they can settle it in the ring tonight and maybe the "powers that be" will give him that title shot. Shiloh agrees and snaps his fingers. The Marauders surround the ring and climb up the apron, but get back down and say "not yet".

Spider-Man vs. Jay Bradley.
I kid you not, Jay's first opponent was Spider-Man. Jay quickly disposes of him with the Boomstick.
WINNER: BRADLEY by pinfall.
Jay has another handpicked opponent as he has in past weeks.
Jay Bradley vs. Leon Shelly.
Jay totally dominates and toys around with him and finishes him off with the Boomstick also.
WINNER: BRADLEY by pinfall.
Jay says to send out the best in the back.
Jay Bradley vs. Eddie F. Diamond.
EFD wants a second go-around after losing to Jay last week. Like last week, Jay controls early, EFD comes back, and Jay hits EFD in the throat. This time, though, Jay goes for the Boomstick and EFD reverses it into a crucifix pin for the 3.
WINNER: EFD by pinfall.
Jay is shocked and grabs a mic. He says he wasn't ready and that EFD cheated. He wants a rematch at SNS. EFD says he'll see him there.

The Furions come to the ring. They say they have came out the last couple weeks to make a statement. They won the Nightmare Cup fair and square and should be #1 contenders for the OVW tag team titles.
Michael Hayes & Mohamad Ali Vaez come out and say that everything they are saying is true. They did win, but then Rob left and they started a battle with the Best Team Ever. They are not trying to dodge them, they will fight them right now.
The Best Team Ever comes out and Jessie says you can't put them away. We are going to have a tag team match to see who faces Ali & Hayes for the belts at SNS:
#1 CONTENDERSHIP for the OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLES: "The Furions" Marcus Anthony & Rob Terry vs. "The Best Team Ever" Rudy Switchblade & Jessie Godderz.
The Furions massive power and strength is too much for the Best Team Ever who throws everything they have at them to no avail. Marcus & Rob each powerslam Rudy & Jessie and get the 3.
WINNERS: FURIONS by pinfall.
The Furions want to make a statement and go to beat up on BTE some more. Ali & Hayes run in, but they get squashed between Marcus & Rob, and each get chokeslammed. The Furions hold the belts up over them before leaving the ring.

The Bodyguy comes to the ring and says he is tired of running and hiding from the man in the mask. He says the Assassin is no Jason Voorhees, and wants to expose him for the fraud he is.
The Assassin comes out and Bodyguy backs up and tells him he wants to talk it out. Robo De Luna, 4M, Fabiano Rolento, J. Best, & Elvis Pridemoore all pop out from under the ring with weapons and attack the Assassin from behind. Bodyguy pulls off Assassin's mask and celebrates, but didn't see that there was still another mask underneath. Assassin sits up Undertaker-style and takes out "the Body Brigade".
Bodyguy puts on a pair of glasses and says "You wouldn't hit a man with glasses would you?". He does, clotheslining the Bodyguy too.

#1 CONTENDER for the OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Shiloh Jonze vs. Johnny Spade (w/Timmy Danger).
A good back and forth match until Nick Dumeyer runs out and threatens to hit Timmy Danger. While the ref is distracted by this, Joe Coleman, Raul LaMotta, & Clint Poe run out and beat down Spade.
Jamin Olivencia runs out and takes out the Marauders, but Spade grabs him from behind, and Jamin turns around and hits him with a Standing O. Coleman & Poe pull Jamin out of the ring and the Masked Marauder runs in and lays Shiloh over top of Spade for the pin.
WINNER: SHILOH by pinfall.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Thanks to referee Chris Sharpe for the final results (I had to leave at intermission):

Evan Markopoulos defeated Fabiano Rolento, pinning him with his feet on the ropes.

Michael Hayes took out some aggression to make quick work of J. Best.

The Marauders (Joe Coleman & Clint Poe) defeated Double Platinum (Ryan Howe & Rockstar Spud) thanks to interference from the Masked Marauder.

This episode of OVW TV will be up online tomorrow. As always, thanks for reading!
