Without further ado:
Here we go...
Pre-Show Dark Matches:
TerreMex takes it to both members of the No Class Connection early. They deliver a double hip toss to Deonta, Terrez flips on him, and Mex hits a splash. Mex goes off the ropes and is kicked in the back by Leon. He goes to hit Leon, allowing Deonta to clip his knee from behind. Mex's knee is worked over, and Deonta locks in a single leg Boston Crab. Mex crawls to Terrez for the tag, but Leon distracts the ref. Mex is able to fight back and hit a spinebuster. Both Mex & Deonta tag, and Terrez come sin firing away on Leon & Deonta, hitting a corkscrew suplex on Leon. Deonta breaks the pin. Mex blind tags Terrez, spears Deonta, and together they hit La Chancla on Leon for the 3.
WINNERS: TERREMEX by pinfall. The Congregation (minus Jake Glasure) comes to the ring and Rev. Stuart Miles says tonight's good word is "payback". He says that Jade will get payback against a heathen tonight.
Rump has the early advantage until Miles interferes, and Jade hits a springboard knee to Rump. He hits a dropkick and a spinning kick to Rump's head. Rump fires back, and overhead slams Jade. Miles gets on the apron, but Rump knocks him off. Jade gets up and turns into the Thump for the 3.
WINNER: RUMP by pinfall.
That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching
the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report.
Again, you can check it out on OVW's official website late Thursday
afternoon/evening at www.ovwrestling.com/tv
and on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings).
Dean Hill & Terry Boddie are on commentary, and Shannon the Dude is the ring announcer.
Leon Shelly vs. OVW Heavyweight Champion "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus.
Melvin clotheslines Leon, hits a powerslam, and then locks in a bearhug for the tapout, and this one is over quick.
WINNER: MELVIN by submission. After the match, Melvin grabs a mic and wants answers on who the #1 contender is. Marcus Anthony comes out and says he is, which brings out Cliff Compton.
Cliff says he was the rightful winner last week, and all 3 men end up brawling.
This brings out OVW Owner Danny Davis. He says the best way to settle this is to have a triple threat match at the Saturday Night Special, and then asks them all to leave the ring.
Adam Revolver comes out and says that he should get the TV Title back, because it is supposed to be defended on TV, and Michael Hayes isn't here tonight. Danny Davis says OVW is in the developmental business and Michael had an opportunity to go to Florida and train with WWE. Besides that, he has defended on OVW live events when he didn't have to. What he will do is give Adam an opportunity to earn a shot in a Battle Royal right now, with the stipulation that the final two will wrestle for it and must win by pinfall or submission...
10-MAN BATTLE ROYAL for #1 CONTENDER to the OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Adam Revolver, "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe, Rump Thump, The Bodyguy, "Primetime" Robbie Walker, "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles, The Mexicutioner, Elvis Pridemoore, Randy Terrez, & "Altar Boy" Jade Dawson.
Order of elimination: Terrez eliminates Jade, TerreMex eliminates Elvis, Howe eliminates Miles, Rump eliminates Terrez, Mexicutioner eliminates Rump, Revolver eliminates Mexicutioner, Walker eliminates Bodyguy, Revolver eliminates Walker. This leaves Revolver & Howe, and Josh Ashcraft comes out to relieve referee David.
While Howe argues with Josh, Adam hits Howe from behind and throws him out of the ring. He chops Howe around the ring, but Howe chops back and throws him in the ring. He goes up top, but Adam hits the ropes and Howe falls across the top turnbuckle. Adam works over Howe's leg. Howe comes back and rolls up Adam for a slow 1 count. Adam locks in the sleeper. Howe reverses out and kicks Adam in the face. He goes up top and connects with the Chart Topper. Josh counts a slow and reluctant 3.

EFD locks up with Dan, and arm drags him. He throws him in the corner and goes for a flying forearm, but Dan catches him and throws him head first into the corner. Dan with a Russian leg sweep, some forearm drops, and a side slam. EFD fights back and hits a spinning back elbow. He locks in the Cripwalk Crossface, but Dan reaches the ropes. Dan comes back to hit EFD with a big German suplex for 3.

Walker limps out with a bad leg that he suffered during the battle royal earlier in the night. Bodyguy attacks his leg as he is entering the ring and works it over. Again, Walker connects with the Cosmic Kick out of nowhere to get the 3.
WINNER: WALKER by pinfall.
OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLES: "The War Machine": Eric Locker & Shiloh Jonze vs. Chris Silvio & ???.
After
the match, Silvio helps Sharpe up and then gives him the Psychadelic Superpunch!
Silvio comes out, but Jamin Olivencia's music hits and he doesn't come out. Shiloh laughs and says he can't fight for the tag titles without a tag partner. Chris Sharpe shows up again and says that him and Silvio are brothers-in-law. He wants to be his partner. Silvio declines and tells Sharpe to go to the back. Silvio gets attacked from behind by the War Machine and the match starts off as a handicap match as Josh Ashcraft has Dean Hill ring the bell. Silvio is double-teamed, but Sharpe comes back to the ring and jumps on the apron.
Silvio is able to tag in Sharpe, who comes in firing away on Shiloh and stomping him in the corner. Locker comes up from behind him, hits him, and delivers the T-Bone Suplex allowing Shiloh to get the 3.
WINNERS and STILL OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: WAR MACHINE by pinfall.Silvio is able to tag in Sharpe, who comes in firing away on Shiloh and stomping him in the corner. Locker comes up from behind him, hits him, and delivers the T-Bone Suplex allowing Shiloh to get the 3.

What is Chris Silvio's problem? I don't know why Jamin didn't show, but don't take it out on Sharpie. How are we supposed to trust you when your own brother-in-law can't?
ReplyDeleteHard to say. Stay tuned and see if he explains his actions!
DeleteSilvio and Sharpe are FAMILY!!!! How could they be at each other's throats like that? It doesn't make any sense- normally they get along great! However, this- is it a part of a storyline? Sort of a sibling-in-law rivalry??? This really makes me wonder if Silvio is truly turning heel; however, now if he turns heel, what would happen to him and Jamin? Aren't they still "Silvi-O-livencia"? Why would Silvio be turning heel when he is so beloved by the fans? Is this a shocker storyline where something happens that the fans can't believe it or something? Interesting! Really, though- any way you look at it- any wrestler can turn either face or heel at anytime, without notice- take the heel turn that Tony Gunn had once done as the Masked Marauder that one time- although the chants were in the crowd at the Masked Marauder, there were some that could NOT believe he'd do that! I, myself, was totally shocked by that one!
ReplyDeleteA lot of times its for the shock value. They will turn the one that people least expect. I remember in 1983 when Bill Dundee turned heel. People did not want to believe it.
Deletelol I wonder when they will bring new female to the roster.. if they don't plan anything for their women's division then just deactivate that title.. jesus.
ReplyDeleteyep still lei d tapa as womens champion it really annoys me that the womens division has gone down hill i blame tna and whoever gets the wrestlers in to ovw as there not doing there job properly
ReplyDeleteI did like the little "air guitar" that Danny did when talking to Ryan Howe.
