This
is the OVW Saturday Night Special Report for Saturday, October 4,
2014.
Tonight, Melvin Maximus defended the OVW Heavyweight Title against Cliff Compton & Marcus Anthony in a triple threat match, the War Machine defended the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles against the Wild Boyz, plus more!
I was not able to attend tonight's show, so I do not have all the play-by-play. The following are results from my good friend Nathan Karpinski!

Chris Silvio came out saying he's the best there is in OVW and should be main eventing, but is not even booked on the show. Michael Hayes came out, told Silvio to shut up, and challenged him to a match with the TV Title on the line...
OVW TELEVISION TITLE MATCH: Chris Silvio vs. Michael Hayes (c) ends in a double countout. Hayes delivers 5 consecutive suplexes to Silvio after the match. Mary Jane got in Hayes' face and sprayed him with something in the eyes. Silvio got back up and delivered a Pyschadelic Superpunch to Hayes.
OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: "The War Machine": Eric Locker & Shiloh Jonze (c) def. "The Wild Boyz": "The Party Starter" Bud Dwight & Eddie F. Diamond after Michael Titus distracted the ref and Shiloh hit Dwight with a title belt.
OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH (SPECIAL REFEREE: Timmy Danger): "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (c) vs. Marcus Anthony vs. Cliff Compton. As always, thanks for reading!
NNOOOOOOOOOOOO Cliff won. See kids the good guys never win
ReplyDeleteMelvin's reign shouldn't be cut short but it seems ever reign is cut short in OVW
DeleteI was disappointed to see Melvin lose the title, especially since I don't believe either Marcus Anthony or Cliff Compton should have been given a title shot. Marcus has had enough chances, and needs to move to the end of the line. As far as Cliff Compton goes, there are others more deserving than him. Guys like Ryan Howe, Eddie Diamond, Randy Terrez, and Michael Hayes have moved forward in the ranks, and have proved themselves worthy of a title shot. It isn't fair that they should be pushed back because "Cliffie" thinks he is entitled. I hope Melvin exercises his rematch clause soon, and takes back the title. Then Compton can go back to the end of the line where he belongs.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Cliff Compton would have beaten Melvin Maximus in a regular one-on-one match.
