OVW TV #800: "800th Episode Special"

This is the OVW Report for Saturday, December 13, 2014. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday, December 20 at 9AM and 10PM, and online on Monday, December 22 at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, all active titles are on the line as Michael Hayes defends the TV Title, TerreMex defends the Southern Tag Team Titles, and Adam Revolver defends the Heavyweight Title, Danny Davis has a special video for the fans in celebration of episode #800, plus more!

Once again, I will provide a quicker recap with the holidays approaching.

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

SK Eveslage vs. "Primetime" Robbie Walker.
SK with a DDT, but Robbie kicks out. Robbie back with inverted atomic drops and a fameasser, but SK kicks out. SK hits a twisting neckbreaker, but Robbie kicks out. Off the ropes, Robbie ducks swings by SK, and SK turns into a Cosmic Kick for the 3.
WINNER: WALKER by pinfall.

"The No Class Connection": Deonta Davis & Leon Shelly vs. Dave-Lo & "Rudo" Raul LaMotta.
Raul is upset about being disrespected and having to team with Dave-Lo again. He starts out, taking it to Leon, and Dave-Lo wants in. He tags him in, but immediately Leon takes advantage and Raul throws his hands up about Dave screwing up. Dave-Lo is beat up by No Class, and Raul finally gets fed up, gets in the ring, and chops his own partner before leaving. No Class hits their finisher on Dave-Lo for the 3.
WINNERS: NO CLASS by pinfall.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Gilbert is also the ring announcer.

Dapper Dan vs. Eddie F. Diamond.
Dan uses his strength and size advantage to control most of the match. He goes to slam EFD, but EFD slides off and goes off the ropes. He comes back and runs into Dan, but slides around him and locks in the Cripwalk Crossface for the tapout.
WINNER: EFD by submission.
Gilbert Corsey interviews EFD and asks first about his partner, Bud Dwight. EFD says he tore his labrum and will be out for 3-4 months, but will be ready to party and get wild when he returns. Gilbert then asks about Mary Jane. EFD says knocking her off the apron last week was accidental and asks if she's okay. Gilbert says that neither she, nor Chris Silvio are in attendance tonight, but does have a message from Jim Cornette. EFD will get another match against Silvio at the January SNS. EFD says Silvio treats Mary Jane like a dog, and likes to go around saying he's the best wrestler. EFD says he is definitely not the best man, and will teach him the respect he should have learned a long time ago.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Adam Wyld vs. Michael Hayes (c).
Adam Revolver came out and joined Dean & Gilbert on commentary. A very good showing for the young up-and-comer Wyld. Wyld hits a reverse cross body off the ropes, a dropkick, and an enziguri, but jumps off the ropes again later and is caught by the facebuster from Hayes.
WINNER and STILL OVW TV CHAMPION: HAYES by pinfall.

The Congregation is out, and Rev. Stuart Miles says he has a good poem tonight. He degrades the fans and then says that the Apostle will take out someone with an oversized rump tonight.
"Apostle" Jake Glasure (w/Jade Dawson & "Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles) vs. Rump Thump.
Apostle attacks Rump to start. Rump starts to come back and Miles & Jade grab his feet off the ropes and drop him. Apostle charges at Rump, but he pulls the ropes down and Apostle flies out on Miles & Jade. Apostle gets back in and ducks a Thump attempt. He clotheslines Rump, and throws him into the corner, but Rump jumps up and delivers a Thump off the ropes for the 3.
WINNER: RUMP by pinfall.

Gilbert Corsey brings out OVW Owner Danny Davis. Danny talks about the long history of OVW and thanks the fans for being a part of it as they celebrate 800 episodes tonight. He said there have been many names to come through the doors and go on to superstardom, and he has a special video for the fans from some of those names. Michael Titus appears on the screen and asks if he was expecting someone else. He has hijacked the video and brings in fired official Josh Ashcraft, who cuts the video up. Titus goes on about Jim Cornette firing Josh, and suspending Marcus Anthony, but says Cornette also signed the death warrant for Danny & Frank Miller. Danny tells them to cut the video, and calls him a no good "S.O.B" several times. He is sick and tired of Titus sticking his nose in other people's business and again promises to kick Titus' you-know-what, and will refund every person's money at the Saturday Night Special if Titus isn't carried out flat on his back.

OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: "The Fabulous Free Bodies": The Bodyguy & Big Jon vs. "TerreMex": Randy Terrez & the Mexicutioner (c).
The Free Bodies attack TerreMex before the bell and work over Terrez for most of the match. He gets away to tag Mex, and Mex powers through the Bodyguy. Terrez goes up top, but gets knocked down across the top rope. As the ref checks on him, Bodyguy pulls a chain out of his tights, as Mex is about to give a spinebuster to Jon. Bodyguy clocks Mex in the side of the head, Jon falls on top of Mex, and the ref turns around to count the 3.
WINNERS and NEW OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: FREE BODIES by pinfall.

Adam Revolver comes to the ring and says he is about to give someone an opportunity again by picking a name out of his magic beanie hat. He said it could be someone from OVW's past like Elijah Burke, or maybe even Cliff Compton. He calls for a ref to draw a name. Joe Wheeler comes out and draws the name of "Little Joe", a new OVW trainee...
OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Adam Revolver (c) vs. Little Joe.
Revolver is having his way with Joe, when Michael Hayes comes to ringside and steals Adam's magic beanie hat. Adam hits the Russian leg sweep for the 3.
WINNER and STILL OVW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: REVOLVER by pinfall.
Michael grabs a mic and starts going through the names, every paper has Little Joe's name on it. He wants to fight Adam, but Adam says that must have been a typo, and that he would be more than willing to defend the title against Hayes, but he didn't draw his name. Hayes asks if Adam would fight him. Adam says he would, but Jim Cornette is not here, so it doesn't matter.
Gilbert gets a call over at the announce table, and it was Jim Cornette. Gilbert relays the message that Cornette is taking what Adam said as a verbal contract, and he will defend the title against Michael Hayes, and it will happen right now!
OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Adam Revolver (c) vs. Michael Hayes.
Revolver attacks Hayes from behind and hits him with a chair before the bell even rings. He rolls him in and has Joe ring the bell, but Hayes kicks out. Adam works over Hayes for most of the match and locks in the sleeper, but Hayes fights back. He hits a big backdrop and tries to lock in the Liberty Lock, but they fall out of the ring. Adam grabs the title belt and clocks Hayes with it for the DQ.
WINNER: HAYES by DQ, but STILL OVW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: REVOLVER.
After the match, Revolver kicks Hayes to the floor and delivers a piledriver. Gilbert Corsey can be overheard on commentary saying that Adam wants to be sure he doesn't have to defend against Michael Hayes again, EVER.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

"The Congregation": Jade Dawson & "Apostle" Jake Glasure (w/"Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles) vs. Elvis Pridemoore & "Rudo" Raul LaMotta.
Raul says at least with Elvis, he has a partner who can carry the load as a former OVW Champion. The Congregation work over Elvis for the entire match, but Elvis starts to fire back. He goes to tag Raul, but Raul jumps off the apron and leaves. Jade & Jake hit their double team russian leg sweep for the 3.
WINNERS: CONGREGATION by pinfall.

As always, thanks for reading!
