Without further ado:
Here we go...
Pre-Show Dark Matches:
The Congregation comes out and Rev. Stuart Miles discusses having emergency surgery this past weekend, but he didn't need prayers. He says Jade Dawson's opponent, The Assassin, doesn't have a prayer tonight...
That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching
the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report.
Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings)
and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.
Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Shannon the Dude is the ring announcer.
After the match, the Mexicutioner came out and told AJ what happened. AJ reversed the decision, giving Rump the win by DQ. Mex & Terrez then brawled and had to be pulled apart by some of the guys in the locker room and the refs.
Dapper Dan defeated Eddie Diamond. Dapper Dan attacked EFD before the bell, but EFD came firing back and locked Dan in the Cripwalk Crossface. Mohamad Ali Vaez & the Congregation came out to ringside, and EFD broke the hold due to their distraction. While he was distracted, Dan recovered and hit the German Suplex from behind for the 3.
After the match, Ali attacked Eddie with a steel chair. Ali then sat in the ring and said Eddie will not face him, because he is not worthy. He then talks about how faith has helped him come back from injuries like concussions and a broken hand, and how he has overcome those and the institutionalized racism in OVW to become Heavyweight Champion.
A box is rolled out to ringside, and Gilbert Corsey brings out "the King of Knoxville" Shane Williams.
Williams says he came here to make a statement and Randy Royal has stuck his nose in his business, but he has a solution to the problem in this box.
Royal comes out, and we learn there is actually someone inside the box. It is revealed to be Vic the Bruiser! Vic is an OVW original and former partner of Royal's. Royal looks surprised and backs up through the curtain.
Williams then says if anyone wants a piece of him, they will have to go through Vic first.
OVW TELEVISION TITLE MATCH: "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe defeated Adam Revolver by DQ. Howe locked Revolver in the Whammy Bar, but Revolver made it to the ropes. Revolver rolled out and grabbed his title to leave, but Howe grabbed him and threw him back in the ring. As Howe went to get back in, Revolver clocked him with the title.
We have breaking news backstage, and we see Josh Ashcraft & Big Jon walking away from the scene of a crime. Robbie Walker has been laid out in the locker room with a steel chair, and Adam Wylde comes in to check on him.
We then head to the ring where Gilbert Corsey calls Josh Ashcraft out. Gilbert says we all just saw what happened. Josh has no idea what he is talking about and says accidents happen all the time. Gilbert then says he has news for him, there will still be an OVW Southern Tag Team Title match for our main event, and it will be one-on-one because Eric Locker has been escorted from the building. He also is getting word in his ear that Josh will be banned from ringside!
WINNER(S) and NEW OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM CHAMPION(S): BIG JON (& ERIC LOCKER) by pinfall.
This ended the TV taping.
Who can stand up to Ashcraft in a possible match? Anybody have any clues? I think Ashcraft has gone way too far!
