Without further ado:
Here we go...
Pre-Show Dark Matches:
That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching
the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report.
Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings)
and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.
Gilbert Corsey & Timmy Danger are on commentary, and Shannon the Dude is the ring announcer.
The show starts with Adam Wylde discussing his match with Chris Silvio later in the show. He says he defeated Chris Silvio before, and he'll do it again. He is called "the Standout", but after he wins and gets a title shot, he will just be known as "Champion".
We then see Chris Silvio saying he has worked for over a decade to become Heavyweight Champion, and tonight "the Standout" will get knocked out.
We see a recap of Big Jon defeating Elvis Pridemoore & Oso Rayos at SNS and then telling Josh Ashcraft to get his "act" together.
We see a video at the beginning of the match from Robbie Walker. Walker says Mitch Huff kicked him pretty good at SNS, but it's all good. He got the win, and kicked Huff a lot harder a few weeks before that, but everything's good.
After the match, Big Jon & Locker are both mad at Josh for not getting their title shots, but are also mad and shoving each other. Meanwhile, as Huff goes to leave, Walker hits him with another Cosmic Kick.
Backstage, Randy Royal leaves his locker room and there are guitars lined up down the hallway. Royal says very funny, and again says he's not scared as he hurries away.
Rev. Stuart Miles comes out and talks about being forced to team with someone he used to call a friend and respect in Mohamad Ali Vaez, and his friend Bin Hamin. Ali comes out and asks Stu if he's mad that they won or upset about the fact that his faith was blasphemied by him calling Ali his Savior. Stu is getting upset and balls his fist up, but walks away. Ali attacks him from behind, but Stu gets saved by Jade Dawson.
We see an odd video of Marcus Anthony getting into a big red truck, but we don't know where this video was taken or who else was in the truck. The video pans down as the truck drives off to show a hat on the ground.
Driscoll was very impressive, making quick work of Elvis. He hit him with a spear and a cutter for the 3.
Backstage, Randy Royal pays Trevor Steele to guard the door of the room he is in as he lays down on a couch to rest.
We see a recap of Chris Silvio defeating Eddie Diamond at SNS. We then see a video of Eddie Diamond with his shoulder wrapped up saying he never quit. He had to pass out to pain for Chris Silvio to walk out alive, but promises to make Silvio's life miserable.
Backstage, Randy Royal is having a nightmare about guitars as Jessie Belle wakes him up. He says he has had enough and needs to talk to Dean Hill.
We find out that a tag match has been signed for next week: Mohamad Ali Vaez & Adam Revolver vs. Jade Dawson & Rev. Stuart Miles.
Randy Royal comes to the ring with Jessie Belle and tells Dean Hill that something has to be done. Dean asks what more he wants him to do...he suspended Ryan Howe. Howe comes out and goes after Royal. He hits him, but Royal ducks a blow from Howe, and Howe hits Dean!
This ended the TV taping.
Post-Show Dark Matches:
As always, thanks for reading!
Turning Randy Royal heel was bad enough (although he makes a good one) but having him act like a coward (which he is not) is just too much. I wonder if Dean will fire Ryan Howe or look for a way to blame it on Randy. Considering Dean idolizes Ryan, it's hard to say. Devin Driscoll was very impressive. How do you think the issue between Walker and Huff will be resolved?
ReplyDeleteRoyal being scared of guitars is a bit much.
DeleteI hope Driscoll stays around for a bit.
I'm not sure where Huff & Walker's feud is headed, but it will be interesting to watch that develop, as well as the dysfunction between Josh Ashcraft & the War Machine. It would be hard to picture Walker turning heel as Wylde's partner, and as popular as their team is.
A lot of people don't know it, but Randy also plays guitar. He also draws. Very talented.
ReplyDeleteSecond week with no womens action for TV... I knew it wouldn't last.
ReplyDeleteThey need to add more women so Jessie Belle will have something to do besides follow Randy Royal around.
DeleteTrue that, but the question on if OVW is willing to even do that. Rebel, Ray Lyn, MEM & Deonna are not enough right now.
DeleteHey Brian what ever happened to Rauel Lamada & why did everyone call him taco bell ?
ReplyDeleteHis wife has had some health issues, and the fans teased him due to having some hispanic in him.
