Without further ado:
Here we go...
Pre-Show Dark Matches:
That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching
the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report.
Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings)
and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.
Gilbert Corsey & Ron Hed are on commentary, and Shannon the Dude is the ring announcer.
Dean's big announcement is that there will be a special show on November 21 at Louisville Slugger Field. There will be a Danny Davis Invitational Tournament featuring several tag teams. He is still in negotiations, but he can announce one team that is in it..."The World's Greatest Tag Team": Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas! He also has listened to the fans, and women's wrestling is coming back to OVW. A new OVW Women's Champion will be crowned in a battle royal that night, and one woman who will be there is ODB! As for tonight, he tells the crooked referee from SNS that his referees have power, but he will be keeping an eye on him. He tells Chris Silvio that he will defend the Heavyweight Title in a rematch against Devin Driscoll, and after Silvio complains that he shouldn't have to fight every week like the TV Champion does, Dean turns his attention to Randy Royal and says he will defend against Mitch Huff! He also mentions the wedding and says that Ryan Howe is being reinstated on a 45-day probation period, and will be the special referee for Royal vs. Huff next!
OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "The Chosen One" Mitch Huff defeats "Double R Superstar" Randy Royal (c) (w/Jessie Belle & Shane Andrews) to become the NEW OVW TV CHAMPION! Shane & Jessie try to interfere, but in the end, Huff catches Royal with the super kick to get the 3.
Backstage, Dean Hill tells Rev. Stu Miles & Adam Revolver that they have a tag title shot if they want it, if Adam is willing to stick with Stu. Stu keeps calling them "Tag Buddies", but Adam seems annoyed again.
Private Anthony defeats J. Best blindfolded as part of General Pope's test, after hitting Best with the one-armed powerbomb.
Ron Hed brings out "Wylde & Reckless", and talks about losing the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles. Adam Wylde says he tried his best, but it wasn't enough. Robbie Walker gets mad at him and says he thought he could trust Wylde, but he was a loser. He says he's going to leave before he says anything he'll regret. Walker was hobbling on a crutch, but was faking. He turns around and super kicks Wylde and hits him repeatedly with the crutch.
Mitch Huff runs out to chase Walker off.
Big Jon defeats Trevor Steele (w/Josh Ashcraft) after a big boot and a spear. Josh gets mad and yells at Steele, saying this isn't what he pays him for. Josh leaves to the back and Steele runs to the back after him.
Backstage, Rump Thump & Rev. Stu Miles are talking and say they are blessed to know each other, and again Adam Revolver looks annoyed at the lovefest.
OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Devin Driscoll defeats "Today's Superstar" Chris Silvio (c) (w/Rocco Bellagio) by DQ. During the match, Dean Hill comes out and gets on the crooked ref for allowing Rocco to interfere, so the ref ejects Rocco from ringside. Driscoll & Silvio fight to the outside where Silvio uses a steel chair, and the ref has to call for the bell.
This ended the TV taping.
Dean thinks Devin Driscoll is mistreated? Pleeeeze!
ReplyDeleteOVW brings back the Womens Championship... no womens match on the night. Well, hopefully it'll work out better for them this time.
