Without further ado:
Here we go...
Pre-Show Dark Matches:
That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching
the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report.
Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings)
and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.
Gilbert Corsey, Shannon the Dude, & Ron Hed are on commentary, and Ron is also the ring announcer.
"The Tag Buddies": Rev. Stu Miles & Adam Revolver are brought out by Gilbert Corsey for a celebration. Gilbert says he can only imagine how hard Stu must have prayed for this moment. Stu says he had and truly believed it would happen. Gilbert says Adam must believe after what happened last week. Adam says he believes that Stu trained hard and they came together to do something great. He also believes "The Band of Brothaz": General Pope & Private Anthony have a rematch coming.
The Brothaz come out, and Adam wants to know when they plan on doing the rematch. Pope says how about next week. Adam accepts, and the Buddies leave the ring. Pope says that him and Private Anthony have to get things in order, but they will and they will be champions again next week. Gilbert asks Anthony what he thinks, and says "what he said" (in regards to Pope), right? Anthony grabs the mic and says no. Pope says to put a smile back on his face, and get his head together, but Anthony grabs Pope and clotheslines him.
He then one-arm powerbombs Pope through the table that was set up for the Tag Buddies' titles. Before he leaves, he takes Pope's ring.
Josh Ashcraft & Rocco Bellagio come to the ring, and Rocco throws a ladder into the ring. Josh says instead of a Nightmare Rumble preview, there should be a ladder match preview. Rocco says they should bring out Ryan Howe now.
Casey Reeves comes out to Howe's music, wearing Howe's tights, a fake title, and is holding a toy guitar. He mocks Howe, and Rocco gives him a finger poke and Josh counts to 3. The real Ryan Howe runs out and goes after Reeves & Rocco, but Rocco catches him with a Rocco Bottom. He then sets up a ladder on the top turnbuckle, dropping Howe across it.
He then gives Howe one more shot with the ladder and stands over him with the actual title.
This ended the TV taping.
Post-Show Dark Matches:
The Assassin & "The Tag Buddies": Rev. Stu Miles & Adam Revolver defeat Rook & "The Van Zandt Family Circus": Ringmaster & Dapper Dan Van Zandt after the Assassin hits the clothesline on Dan for the 3. After the match, Ringmaster & Dan hit their double team finisher on Rook out of frustration.
As always, thanks for reading!
Why wasn't Randy in the mini rumble? Certainly he ranks higher than some of the participants.
