Without further ado:
Here we go...
Pre-Show Dark Matches:
That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching
the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report.
Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings)
and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.
Gilbert Corsey & Ron Hed are on commentary, and Ron is also the ring announcer.
The Pope defeats "Primetime" Robbie Walker after catching Robbie off the ropes with a powerslam for the 3.
After the match, Marcus Anthony attacks Pope and hits him with a chair. He handcuffs Pope in the corner, and continues to give him shots in the stomach with the chair.
Dean Hill comes out and tells Marcus to stop. He said he gave Marcus & Pope a chance to handle this situation. He tells Marcus not to touch him again or he will be suspended. Marcus hits Pope with another chair shot, and Dean says he is now suspended from OVW.
Adam Revolver runs out and attacks both of them. The double-team numbers catch up, but after they put the noose on Adam, Adam is able to fight them off.
Rump Thump defeats "The Party Starter" Bud Dwight, "The Technical Titan" Eric Locker, and Tony Gunn after Locker is eliminated from the match after a head injury, and Rump connects with the Thump on Dwight for the 3.
OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Big Jon (c) defeats Eddie Knox after hitting the chokeslam.
They are supposed to fight in E-Town, but Matrix says how about they fight next week, and Howe is down for it. Dean Hill comes out and says there are great fans who deserve a great show in E-Town, so this will not happen tonight. Devin Driscoll comes out with Casey Reeves & Josh Ashcraft (who was in a neckbrace).
Driscoll says how about Howe & Matrix go ahead and have their little match next week on OVW TV, because it doesn't really matter who wins. He will cash in winning the Nightmare Rumble on whoever is OVW Heavyweight Champion, and become the new champion in E-Town. Dean Hill says that will work, and tells E-Town they are welcome.
Eads goes for his finisher, but Huff slips off and hits the Athlete's Foot. They both fall to the mat and get up at the count of 9. Huff goes for another Athlete's Foot, but Eads moves and low blows Huff for the DQ. Eads then connects with a super kick of his own and stands over Huff to end the show.
This ended the TV taping.
Post-Show Dark Matches:
The Assassin defeats Casey Reeves (w/Josh Ashcraft). Josh creates a distraction that allows Reeves to use the baseball bat on Assassin's knee. It doesn't help, as Assassin is able to still catch Reeves with a powerslam for the 3.
As always, thanks for reading!
