Here we go...
Pre-Show Dark Matches:
That
concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching
the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report.
Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.
Shannon the Dude & Ron Hed are on commentary, and Ron is the ring announcer.
OVW TELEVISION TITLE: Tyler Matrix (c) defeats "Bad Boy" Shane Andrews (w/Jessie Belle). A very quick-paced match. Matrix tries for a hurricanrana, but Shane holds on and tries to pick him back up for a powerbomb. Matrix rolls around and rolls Shane up for the 3.
NO HOLDS BARRED: Adam Revolver vs. Mexicutioner ends in a no-contest. They exchange blows, and Revolver goes after the bad leg of Mex, including using a chair. He locks in a figure 4, but Mex reverses. Mex comes back with a spinebuster, spear, and as he goes for the Mexislam, his knee buckles and he goes down holding it saying it's torn. The match is stopped and he is helped to the back by officials & Revolver.
"Shotgun" Tony Gunn vs. Colton Cage ends in a time-limit draw. Gunn adds Cage's name to his YTO Club board before the match as "SBK: Side Burned Kid". Gunn focuses on Cage's leg and locks him in the YTO, but Cage refuses to tap as time expires. An upset Gunn attacks Cage after the match.
OVW TELEVISION TITLE #1 CONTENDER FATAL 4 WAY: Justin Smooth defeats Trevor Steele, "Double R Superstar" Randy Royal, & "The King of Hairstyle" Robbie Walker. Smooth hits Walker with Street Justice as Steele locks Royal in the chicken wing. The ref goes down to make the pin for Smooth and doesn't see that Steele has Royal tapping behind her.
OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLES: "The Legacy of Brutality": "Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya & Big Zo (w/Josh Ashcraft) (c) defeats "The Van Zandt Family Circus": Dapper Dan Van Zandt & Mad Man Pondo (w/Scarlet, Ringmaster, & Little Damion). Dissension from the get-go as Ringmaster didn't like Pondo posing in his spot. After some different miscues between Pondo & Ringmaster, Hy Zaya takes advantage, knocking Dan into Pondo into Ringmaster, who goes flying off the apron. The Legacy gets the pin on Dan for the win.
After the match, a furious Ringmaster yells at Pondo and says he was just a replacement. Pondo, tired of Ringmaster, cracks him over the head with the stop sign.

This ended the TV taping.
