This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, May 10, 2017. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html. In this episode, Daniel Eads faces Tyler Matrix in the main event with a special guest referee, Adam Revolver has a "warm up" lumberjack match, Cali & Rev. Stu face Jade Dawson & Madi Maxx in mixed tag action, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"American Warrior" Adam Slade & Houdini defeat "The Bro Gods": Colton Cage & Dustin Jackson. Dustin takes the punishment early, but gets a hot tag to Colton. Colton comes in firing away and tags Dustin back in. They hit their new finisher called Divine Retribution, a super kick from Dustin into the Sideburn Effect from Colton on Houdini, but as the ref is getting Colton back to his corner, Slade comes in and takes out Dustin's knee from behind, and follows up with a bulldog. He places Houdini on top of Dustin for the 3.

Big Zo defeats Apollo. Zo wins pretty handily after a spinning kick and a Zo bomb for the 3.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html.

Ron Hed & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and KC is the ring announcer.

"The Trinidadian Titan" Justin Smooth defeats Ca$h Flo. Ca$h looked as if he was lost without Josh Ashcraft at ringside. The two exchange chops, and Ca$h catches Smooth with a super kick. Ca$h shows off in the corner and Smooth comes back. He catches Ca$h with the running big boot for the 3.

Gilbert Corsey talks about some of the SNS card alongside Ron Hed mentioning Cali vs. Madi Maxx and Rev. Stu vs. Jade Dawson. Those 4 will be in a mixed tag match next. He then mentions that this past Tuesday night at the Rusty Bucket, that the main event didn't go down as planned, and Dean Hill signed a rematch for tonight's main event between Daniel Eads & Tyler Matrix. He also named a special guest referee...Big Jon! Jon comes out and asks the fans how they're doing. He says he will call the match down the middle, and has faith and knows the fans have faith in his boy Tyler Matrix.

OVW Women's Champion Madi Maxx & Jade Dawson defeat OVW Television Champion "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stu & Cali. Madi gets frustrated at Jade for tagging her in two different times. Madi & Cali are both down, and the men come in. Stu hits an atomic drop and some healing. In the corner, Stu goes to heal, but Jade slides out and knocks Stu down to the mat. Jade goes for a top rope leap, but Stu moves. Jade rolls through and up into a flapjack from Stu. Jade rolls out and grabs a chair. The ref is distracted by Jade trying to enter the ring with it. Madi takes the Women's Title, clocks Cali, then tosses the belt to Stu. Madi then falls to the mat and acts like Stu hit her. As the ref questions Stu, Jade gets in, kicks Stu, and hits the DDT for the 3.

Gilbert Corsey brings out Dapper Dan and asks about his streak of violence. Dan acts as if it's no big deal and that it's necessary. Gilbert says LJ stood up to him, and Dan says he got lucky once after he beat LJ 5, 6, 7 times. He lost count. Gilbert then says after he beat Lukas Gibson last week, he continued to give him Death Valley Driver after Death Valley Driver. Dan says he always leaves a trail of bodies laying. Gilbert mentions Dan backing down when Big Zo came out and went eye-to-eye with him. Dan is getting angry and says Zo was the wrong place, wrong time. He then attacks a cameraman with the kendo stick. He cracks him in the head and then tosses him in the ring and beats him with it.
Gilbert gets in to try and stop him and Dan turns his attention to him.
Big Zo runs out and confronts Dan again, and Dan backs away saying not now.

Adam Revolver & Shannon the Dude come out and STD says Tony Vanetti has accepted their invitation to be at the SNS. Revolver says he is going to have a warm-up match and brings out lumberjacks that benefit him (Little Damion, Dre Blitz, Jade Dawson, Christian Hernandez, Raul LaMotta, Apollo, Chace Destiny, & Adam Slade).
Adam Revolver (w/Shannon the Dude) defeats LJ. LJ gets on a roll and goes up top for the frog splash. Shannon distracts the ref, and Hernandez grabs LJ's foot. LJ kicks him off, but the distraction lasts long enough for Adam to recover and slam LJ off the top. He then hits his finisher, the russian leg sweep rollover into the pin for 3.
After the match, Adam tosses LJ out to the lumberjacks, and they continue to beat on him. Tyler Matrix runs out and hits a missile dropkick to Adam from the top rope. He then charges off the ropes and leaps out of the ring onto the pile of lumberjacks as Kevin Giza, Colton Cage, Dustin Jackson, Lukas Gibson, & Houdini all come out to help fight off Adam's lumberjacks.

David Lee Lorenze III comes out and says critics have been talking about the recent mishaps in his production, but there will be several reedits and the reshoot starts tonight against Kevin Giza. where he will hit the Director's Cut...and scene!
Kevin Giza defeats David Lee Lorenze III. David attacks Giza from behind and controls most of the match. He hits the Director's Cut, but Giza kicks out at 2. David is beside himself and starts throwing a tantrum. This allows Giza to go up top and hit the 450 and get the 3.
After the match, David throws a bigger tantrum, shoving over his director's chair and grabbing a TV monitor off the announce table and smashing it to pieces.

SPECIAL REFEREE: Big Jon
"The Young Lion" Tyler Matrix defeats "The Man of Tomorrow" Daniel Eads. Matrix & Eads go at it and fight on the outside to open the match. Eads with some big slams and kicks Matrix in the head. Matrix fires back with clotheslines and a pele kick. Adam Revolver runs out and distracts Jon. Shannon the Dude is also out and undoes the turnbuckle pad. Matrix sees him and grabs him, but Eads attacks Matrix from behind. Eads powerbombs Matrix into the exposed turnbuckle. Jon gets frustrated with Revolver and chokeslams him. He turns for the pin, but sees the exposed turnbuckle. He calls for a DQ.
Eads is angry and delivers a super superman punch to Jon. He then hits the Weight of the World on Matrix and grabs the title to end the show.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

"The Veteran Connection": Apollo & Raul LaMotta defeats Dre Blitz & Christian Hernandez. Hernandez takes the punishment early and gets a hot tag to Dre. Dre hits Blitz kicks to both Apollo & Raul. Raul distracts the ref, and Apollo rakes the eyes of Dre. Raul then hits a swinging neckbreaker for the 3.

As always, thanks for reading!
