OVW TV #927: "Game Chain-ger"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, May 24, 2017. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html. In this episode, Jade Dawson defends the OVW TV Title against Rev. Stu & Shane Andrews in a triple threat match, Shannon the Dude & Adam Revolver have a "warm-up" match for the SNS, Dapper Dan & Daniel Eads face off with Zo & Justin Smooth in the main event, plus more!

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Damion & Chace Destiny (w/OVW TV Champion Jade Dawson) defeat "The Veteran Connection": Apollo & "Rudo" Raul LaMotta. A slow start to this match. Raul is worked over by Chace & Damion. He finally tags Apollo, who clotheslines through both opponents. Apollo & Raul hit the Veteran Express, but the ref is distracted by Jade who has perched himself on the top rope. Damion rolls Apollo up from behind to get the 3.

Houdini defeats Dre Blitz. Blitz carries the offense in this match. Houdini reverses a rollup to get the 3.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE TRIPLE THREAT: Jade Dawson (c) (w/Chace Destiny & Damion) defeats "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stu & "Bad Boy" Shane Andrews (w/"Bad Girl" Jessie Belle & "Double R Superstar" Randy Royal). Shane & Jade decide to double team Stu, but then fight over making the pin. Stu begins firing back and gains control. On the outside, Damion gets on the apron, but Jessie Belle pulls him off. The ref tosses them out. Meanwhile, Chace grabs Stu and pulls his head down across the top rope. Shane goes up and hits the frog splash, but before he can make the cover, Jade hits Shane with the snap DDT, then pins Stu for the 3.

David Lee Lorenze III comes out and says there have been a lot of mishaps and he has gotten angry and destroyed some equipment and it has been very costly. He is out here tonight for the sole purpose of getting some cold hard cash to upgrade his equipment. He gets cash...Ca$h Flo!

Ca$h Flo defeats David Lee Lorenze III. Ca$h pretty much destroys David, giving him the nasty hard chops and putting him away with the Wall Street Crash for 3.

Gilbert Corsey brings out Mickie Knuckles and asks about attacking Cali. Mickie says they are not and never were friends. She wants the Women's Title, and calls Cali to come out and play. She says the champion is nowhere to be found. Cali runs out and attacks Mickie from behind with the title and then hits her head off the control center podium. She jumps on Mickie's back, but Mickie backs her up into the ringpost.

Mickie rolls her in the ring, clubs her across the back, and then delivers the pumphandle slam, licking Cali's face before she leaves.

Shannon the Dude & Adam Revolver defeat "The Bro Godz": Colton Cage & Dustin Jackson. The Bros quick tag in and out early, working over Adam's arm. Colton goes off the ropes and is tripped up by Shannon, allowing Adam to gain control. Colton is worked over a bit, before tagging in Dustin. Dustin fires away on Adam, and Shannon comes in with the "Radio Heavyweight Title". The ref grabs it away and as he puts it outside, it allows Shannon to low blow Dustin from behind. Adam recovers and hits the Russian leg sweep rollover for the 3.

"The Trinidadian Titan" Justin Smooth & Zo defeat "The Man of Tomorrow" Daniel Eads & Dapper Dan. A good back and forth match. Zo gets a tag to Smooth, who comes in on fire. He gets Eads up for Street Justice, but Dan comes in and hits Smooth in the back with the kendo stick causing a DQ. Zo goes after Dan, hitting a big slam and the "Are You Serious" legdrop. Eads grabs a chain and hits a loaded superman punch on Zo. This might have ended the show, but as refs were tending to Zo, Dan came back out and attacked him, hitting him with a Death Valley Driver.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Jacob Black defeats The Fearless Musa. Black controls, Musa back with some knee strikes, but Black rolls Musa up with his feet on the ropes for the 3.

OVW WOMEN'S TITLE: Cali (c) defeats "Bad Girl" Jessie Belle. Jessie carries the majority of this match. Cali starts fighting back, but Jessie gets her on the top rope. Cali kicks her away, but Mickie Knuckles comes out and shoves Cali off the top, causing a DQ.

Mickie then delivers 2 more pumphandle slams to Cali after the match.
