OVW TV #954: "La-cett Down & Shut Up"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, November 29, 2017. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and online at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html. In this episode, Michael Hayes & Adam Revolver face Tyler Matrix & Big Zo, Randall Floyd defends the OVW Television Title against Dapper Dan, a #1 contender's match for the OVW TV Title, plus more!

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"The Bro Godz": Colton Cage & Dustin Jackson (w/David Lee Lorenze III & OVW Women's Champion Jaylee) defeat "The Void": Chace Destiny & Damion. Dustin has the early advantage against Chace. He takes him down with a boot to the face, and then throws Cage into him with asplash and hits a beautiful dropkick. Chace takes over after stomping on Dustin's foot. He throws him into a headbutt from Damion. They double-team him in the corner. He finally tags Cage who takes Damion down. They hit Bro 69, then their finisher, but Amon comes out with the chain and clocks Dustin to cause a DQ.

"The Silent Killer" Aloicious Hamilton defeats Apollo "Showtime" Garvin. Alo with a hot start, hitting Apollo in the gut, then dropping a double legdrop across his back. He hits a reverse neckbreaker, then a slingblade. Apollo pokes his eye and works Alo over. He clubs him in the chest, then hits him in the corner. He hits a slam, but then Alo starts to fire back. Alo connects with a slingblade for the 3.

"Livewire" KTD & "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson defeats Willie Cranium & The Blue Chipper. KTD takes Chipper down and then both men tag out. Sam takes Cranium down and dropkicks him in the corner. He goes up top, but Cranium hits the ropes and knocks Sam down. Chipper tags in and splashes him in the corner. Cranium comes back in and stomps a mud hole in him in the corner. Chipper is back, and works over Sam in the corner. Cranium tags in and snapmares him out, then hits a standing moonsault for 2. Sam reverses a pin attempt, but Cranium kicks out and catches him with a dropkick. Cranium with a sidewalk slam, but misses another standing moonsault attempt. Both men tag, and KTD fires away on Chipper. He comes off the ropes with a spinning uppercut. Sam pulls the rope down as Cranium charges in. Sam & KTD then hit a double reverse Russian leg sweep for the 3.

"Bad Boy" Shane Andrews (w/"Double R Superstar" Randy Royal & "Bad Girl" Jessie Belle) defeats "The Winter Swoldier" Adam Slade (w/Kevin Giza). Shane with the early advantage over Slade. He works him over and Royal gets in a choke on the outside. Slade comes back with an uppercut in the corner and a reverse slingblade. Jessie distracts the ref, and Royal gets in with a chair. Giza gets in and pulls it away. He throws it to Slade, and Slade throws it back to Royal. Slade & Giza then hit a double super kick on Royal with the chair. Giza gets out and Slade turns his attention to Jessie. Shane has recovered and rolls Slade up from behind with a handful of tights for the 3.

#1 CONTENDERSHIP for the OVW TV TITLE: "The River City Dragon" Logan James defeats David Lee Lorenze III (w/OVW Women's Champion Jaylee & "The Bro Godz": Colton Cage & Dustin Jackson). David hits some kicks in the corner, then his running clothesline. LJ comes back with a kick to the face. He stomps David and drops an elbow. He goes up top, but Dustin grabs his foot. David takes him down. Off the ropes, Colton grabs LJ's leg and the ref throws the Bros & Jaylee out of ringside. LJ hits David with a spinaround DDT, then connects with the frog splash for the 3.

Billy O & Aloicious Hamilton come out to ringside and want Gilbert Corsey to follow them to the ring. They are angry and want Amon out here now. Gilbert says this is not the time for that, as they will have a 6-man tag at the Special. It will be Amon & the Void against them and a partner of their choosing. Billy says they have been thinking about it, but they get interrupted by Tony Gunn. He says he was having an interview in the back, but got interrupted by their garbage. He's tired of having his TV time cut short. He says he could beat them both, but Billy accepts his challenge...

"Shotgun" Tony Gunn defeats Billy O. A very good back and forth match. Billy hits a high knee and goes for his finisher, but Gunn slides off and drops him from behind. He grabs a chair from the outside. Alo gets in and pulls it away. Billy rolls him up from behind for 2. Gunn comes back and hits the reverse DDT for the 3.

After the match, Amon comes out and clotheslines Alo at ringside. He gets in and hits Billy, then wraps the chain around his neck and chokes him. Alo gets in with the chair and cracks Amon in the back. It doesn't faze him. He goes after Alo, but Billy is back up. They double-team him and hit him with a double flapjack.

The Void runs out and attacks them from behind. They hit their finisher on Alo, then feed Billy to Amon for a pedigree.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd (c) defeats Dapper Dan (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft). They exchange armlocks, then Dan takes control and splashes Randall in the corner. Randall avoids another charge, and throws Dan out of the corner. He stomps on Dan's extremities, and clubs him. He hits a backdrop for 2. Randall stretches him out, but Dan works out and hits him with a back elbow. He hits a belly-to-belly suplex and a clothesline. Ca$h Flo comes out and gets in the ring, Dan sees him and knocks him out of the ring. Randall comes up from behind and hits Dan with the Deal Breaker for the 3.

After the match, Randall locks Dan in the modified Boston crab.

Ca$h won't help, and Logan James runs out and gets in Randall's face. They go nose-to-nose, but Randall retreats.

Big Zo & "The Young Lion" Tyler Matrix defeat Michael Hayes & Adam Revolver. Tyler takes it to Adam, then Zo blind tags and runs Adam over. Hayes tags in and tries to take Zo off his feet. On the third attempt, Zo takes him down. He slams him, then slams Adam. He then shoulder tackles both of them. He slams Hayes again and goes up for the Zo bomb. He connects, but hurts his knee. Hayes works it over, then tags Adam. Adam locks in the Figure Four. Adam then locks in the sleeper. Zo tries to get to his corner with Adam on his back, but Hayes runs in and takes out Zo's knee again. Hayes tags in and continues to work over the knee. Zo kicks him off and Hayes tags Adam. Zo kicks him off. They both try to grab Zo, but Zo kicks both of them off. Adam pulls Tyler off the apron, but Tyler hits him and then tags Zo, but the ref was trying to get Adam back to his corner and didn't see it. They work over Zo some more and try a double suplex, but Zo reverses and suplexes both of them. He finally tags Tyler, who charges through Adam. Tyler dropkicks him and Hayes both, then dives out on them on the outside. He kicks Hayes off as he tries to grab him on the way in. He goes up top, but Shannon tries to interfere. Tyler kicks him off, but Adam slams him off the top. Mike Lacett gets up from commentary and gets in STD's face. STD shoves him, but Lacett spears him and officials have to separate him off of STD. Back inside, Tyler comes back and takes Hayes & Adam both down. Hayes leaves Adam high and dry. Tyler hits the neckbreaker across his knee, Zo hits the Zo bomb, and Tyler follows with the swanton on Adam for the 3.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

OVW Women's Champion Jaylee and "Margarita & Moonshine": "Bad Girl" Jessie Belle & "Amazing" Maria James defeat Torey Payne and "The Varsity Babes": Cali & Meg. A quick start for Torey & the Babes, but Cali gets kicked from behind while Maria has the ref distracted. She gets worked over and triple-teamed before catching Maria with a shot to the chin. Jessie & Torey are tagged in. Torey hits some clotheslines and a slam off her shoulders. Jaylee hits her finisher on Torey. Cali hits an x-factor on Jaylee. Maria takes Cali out. Meg takes Maria down, but then Jessie rolls Meg up for the 3.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd (c) defeats Kevin Giza. Giza with a quick start, but Randall comes back and takes charge. He hits a suplex and works Giza over. Giza comes back with a kick and goes up top, but Randall hits the ropes and knocks him down. He goes up and hits a belly-to-belly suplex off the top for 2. Giza comes back with a DDT. He misses a jumping stomp, and Randall hits a backbreaker. He locks in the modified Boston crab and Giza taps.
