OVW April 2019 SNS Results

This is the OVW Report for the April 6, 2019 edition of the Saturday Night Special!

Tonight:

-OVW Heavyweight Champion Tony Gunn goes 1-on-1 with Justin Smooth!

-Dustin Jackson faces Colton Cage in the steel cage!

-Ca$h Flo vs. Sam Thompson with Sam's career on the line!

-Kings Ransom vs. the War Kings for the Southern Tag Team Titles!

Your announcers for tonight are Josh Ashcraft & Dr. Ted McNaler, and Mercy is the ring announcer.

WOMEN'S TITLE MATCH: Jaylee vs. Cali Young (c).
Cali goes right after Jaylee and spears her and pounds her. Jaylee rolls out and Cali dropkicks her through the ropes. Jaylee comes back and hits Cali off the apron and then throws her into the ringpost. She stomps her and chokes her. Cali fires back and throws her to the corner, then hits a bulldog. She snapmares her and dropkicks her. She hits the x-factor and tries to lock the armbreaker, but Jaylee blocks it and tries to lock it in. Cali reverses with a snap suplex and gets the 3.

WINNER and STILL WOMEN'S CHAMPION: CALI by pinfall.
After the match, Jaylee grabs a mic and says Cali is a cheater. She hates Cali, hates the fans, and hates everyone in the back. She quits!

BATTLE ROYAL: William Lutz, Ashton Cove, "Livewire" KTD, Drew Hernandez, Eddie Knight, Nigel Winters, & Amon.

Nigel eliminates KTD. Lutz & Cove eliminate Drew with a double eat de-feet. Nigel dropkicks Eddie off the apron to eliminate him. Cove accidentally eliminates Lutz, then Nigel tosses Cove. Nigel drops and pounds away on Amon. He hits the 10-count punches in the corner, then tries to eliminate him. Amon kicks him off. He throws him to the corner, but eats aboot. They flip over the top, but both hang on to the ropes. They fight on the apron, and Amon tries an STH. Nigel blocks it, but Amon low blows him with the ropes. He connects with an STH on the apron and Nigel falls to the floor.
WINNER: AMON.

Valerie Vermin vs. "The 97 Year Old Wrestling Extraordinaire" Thunderkitty.
Val hits her in the corner and clotheslines her. Kitty comes back firing and suplexes her. She locks her in the Boston crab and Val taps. This one is over quick!

WINNER: THUNDERKITTY by pinfall.

"The Entourage 2.0": Shiloh Jonze, DL3, & Big D vs. Big Zo, Chace Destiny, & OVW TV Champion Dimes.
DL3 grabs a mic and says he didn't realize there would be a super heavyweight on the other side. Therefore, he is substituting someone in for him...

"The Entourage 2.0": Shiloh Jonze, Big D, & Jay Bradley (w/DL3) vs. Big Zo, Chace Destiny, & OVW TV Champion Dimes.
Jay with the size and power advantage early against Dimes & Chace. Chace gets a tag to Zo and D tags himself in. Zo powers him to the corner and hits the cartwheel butt bump and back elbows. Off the ropes, DL3 trips him. He goes out after him, but Jay throws him into the ringpost and then hits his head off the steel steps. Zo & D collide and both tag out to Dimes & Shiloh. Dimes with a hurricanrana to Shiloh and enziguri to D. Jay goes after him with a Boomstick, but Dimes pulls down the ropes and Jay flies out. Zo throws Dimes to the ropes where Chace flips him outside onto all 3 men. Back inside, Shiloh gets hit with a Samoan drop by Zo, senton from Dimes, and frog splash from Chace. Jay breaks the pin attempt and fights with Dimes and Chace. They take him down with a double dropkick. While Dimes fights with D and Zo chases DL3 on the outside, Jay hits a Boomstick to Chace and Shiloh gets the 3 on the inside.
WINNERS: JAY, SHILOH, & BIG D by pinfall.

SAM'S CAREER on the LINE: Ca$h Flo vs. "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson.
Sam fires away and catches Ca$h off balance with a dropkick that sends him outside. He dives out, but Ca$h catches him and slams him on the steel steps. Back inside, he chops him a couple times and hangs him in the tree of woe. He kicks him, then charges. Sam raises up and Ca$h slides into the ringpost. Sam dives off with a cross body, but misses. Ca$h goes up for the top rope legdrop, but Sam moves. Ca$h charges again, but Sam moves and he hits the corner. Sam rolls him up for 2. He hits the Duck Call, but Ca$h kicks out at 2 again! He goes off the ropes, as does Ca$h, and Ca$h plows him down and through the ropes to the floor. The ref counts to 10 and Sam can't make it in!
WINNER: CA$H by countout.

DL3 comes out and offers an open challenge to anyone in the back. He gets Megan Bayne and he says this isn't a best dressed contest, which he would win. It's not an open kitchen challenge either. Meg forearms him down and hits a release German suplex on him!

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: "The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth vs. "Shotgun" Tony Gunn (c).

Gunn slaps Smooth and Smooth rams him into the corner and pounds him. Gunn fires back and Smooth rolls out. Gunn knees him in the face from the apron. He rolls Smooth back in and fires away and hits a flapjack. He goes for the Killshot, but Smooth ducks and rolls him up for 2. Gunn with a crucifix pin attempt for 2. Smooth takes him down andsets up for the bicycle kick, but Gunn drops him and goes for the Cloverleaf. Smooth kicks him off, but Gunn comes back with a lariat. Smooth catches Gunn and goes for Street Justice, but Gunn comes back with an enziguri. Gunn slides through the ropes and kicks Smooth in the face. Gunn leaps off the top with the flying knee. Smooth ducks the Killshot, then Gunn ducks a bicycle kick and DDT's him for 2. Smooth catches him up top and superplexes him for 2. They exchange blows and Smooth catches Gunn off the ropes with the spinebuster. He sets up for the bicycle kick again and hits it, but Gunn comes off the ropes with a Killshot and both men fall with one arm across the other. The ref counts to 3, but since both men were down, Gunn retains!
WINNER and STILL OVW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: GUNN by a draw.

OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: "Kings Ransom": Maximus & Leonis Khan vs. "The War Kings": Crimson & Jax Dane (c).
The Khans wait for them at the curtain and take the fight to them as soon as they enter. Back inside, Crimson & Jax take control. Jax splashes Leonis in the corner while Crimson holds him, then they hit a double long-standing vertical suplex. Leonis works his way to the corner and tags Maximus, but the ref was distracted by Crimson. Leonis starts to fire back again out of their corner, but gets knocked outside into the barricade by Jax. They splash him in the corner and Jax hits a suplex. Crimson misses a flying elbow drop and tags Jax. Leonis finally gets the tag to Maximus. Maximus hits the jumping clothesline to Jax and knocks Crimson off the apron. They hit Kings Landing on Jax, but Crimson breaks the pin just before 3. Crimson hits them with a double chokeslam! They go for the Off With Their Heads, but Crimson gets pulled out. Leonis spears Jax, then Maximus hits a swanton off the top for the 3!

WINNERS and NEW OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: KINGS RANSOM by pinfall.

STEEL CAGE: Colton Cage vs. Dustin Jackson.
Colton charges Dustin as soon as he enters the cage. Dustin ducks and fires away. He hits an enziguri and picks him up for a slam. Colton pulls off his protective face mask and bandages. He rams Dustin into the cage. Dustin starts to fire back, but Colton hits him in the face with the mask. Colton chokes him and locks in a sleeper. He hits him with a sidewalk slam. He works him over, but Dustin fires back. Colton catches him on the ropes and rams his head into the cage again. He hits the scissor kick and covers for 2! He chokes Dustin and goes up top. Dustin goes up after him, but Colton hits him and takes him down with a sideburn effect from the top! Both men are down. Colton goes up again. He misses a flying legdrop. Dustin fires back with a clothesline and running boot. He spells "BRO" by bashing Colton's face into the side of the cage for each letter. He rams him into the sides of the cage some more. Dani runs out to distract Dustin. Lily comes out and hits Dani's head off the cage. Colton gets up and is bleeding. Colton goes for a low blow, but Dustin blocks it and throws him into the cage again.

Dustin looks up and climbs to the top of the cage, diving off with a frog splash! He gets the 1-2-3!

WINNER: DUSTIN by pinfall.
