This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and on the OVW Network. In this episode, Sami Callihan returns, Maximus Khan defends the TV Title in the gauntlet, Al Snow addresses Justin Smooth, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Dustin Jackson defeats Ashton Cove. They exchange wristlocks, and Dustin takes Cove down for a quick 1 count. Side headlock to Cove, off the ropes, Dustin shoulder blocks Cove. Dustin runs into a boot. Cove with a flying headscissors. Dustin knocks Cove out of the ring and jumps out onto him. Back inside, a clothesline by Dustin, then another. He hits the dropkick and spells out "BRO". He charges Cove, but Cove with a sunset flip for 2. Dustin catches Cove off the ropes and press powerslams him for the 3!

"The Veteran" Apollo defeats Adam Revolver. Adam says that last week Apollo cheated and all he heard about for the last week was how Apollo beat him and that's embarrassing. He will show him tonight that he is just a hack! He gets on the referee too. As the ref turns to ring the bell, Apollo throws powder in Adam's eyes and rolls him up for the 3!

FATAL 5 WAY QUALIFYING MATCH FOR THE $100,000 LADDER MATCH AT FIGHT FOR FREEDOM: William Lutz defeats Chace, Dapper Dan, KTD, & Colton Cage. KTD & Lutz fight while Chace, Cage, & Dan wait on the outside for the right opportunity to enter. Dan, Chace, & Cage all get in and stomp on and attack Lutz & KTD. Some quick roll-up attempts. All 4 gang up on KTD and Dan throws him into the ringpost. They then gang up on Dan, with Cage hitting a scissor kick on him. Chace & Lutz then attack Cage, with Lutz hitting a neckbreaker on him. Chace hits the Butterfly Effect on Lutz, then turns into a flying body press by KTD. Lutz is back up and takes KTD down for the 3!

"Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya (w/"The Legacy of Brutality": Big Zo, Ca$h Flo, Josh Ashcraft & Jay Bradley) defeats "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson. Side headlock by Sam. Hy elbows out and puts Sam in a wristlock. Sam reverses. Hy reverses back. Sam flips over on the ropes and flips Hy down to the mat. He has the arm locked up. Off the ropes, Hy kicks Sam in the face. Off the ropes again, Sam hits a dropkick. Hy claws his eyes and throws him into the corner. Sam reverses and rolls Hy down and kicks him in the head. Josh distracts the ref on the apron as Sam goes up top. Zo gets on the apron and shakes the ropes for Sam to fall awkwardly across the top rope. Hy slams him to the mat. Hy throws Sam out of the ring and Zo, Jay, & Ca$h stomp him while Josh & Hy keep the ref distracted. Hy chokes Sam in the ropes and then Josh chokes him behind the ref's back. Sam fires back and hits a kick to the head. He goes to run off the ropes, but sees an L.O.B. member waiting on each side. This allows Hy to hit him with a blue thunder bomb, then the Ninja Vanish for the 3.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 9PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at OVW TV.

Gilbert Corsey & Ted McNaler are on commentary, and Brittany Devore & Mercy Keller are the ring announcers.

Al Snow comes out and says he gave Dean Hill the night off because he heard Sami Callihan wanted to come and negotiate, and he also has a problem with his Heavyweight Champion, Justin Smooth. Smooth comes out and says to cut his music. He wants Mercy to open the ropes for him, but Al tells her to sit down. Smooth gets up in Al's face and asks if he knows who he's talking to. Al says he does and he owns that title, and if it wasn't for these great fans, there would be no Justin Smooth. Al says he allowed Ace Austin to weasel his way in to the show at 4th Street. He really wanted to kick Smooth on out the door, but wants Smooth to prove if he's really the people's champion, and really OVW, he'll face Madman Fulton tonight!
Corey Storm comes out and says Smooth is a self-obsessed scumbag. He stood up to Ace Austin and oVe last week. He says Smooth should do the same, unless he's scared. Smooth says he's not scared, and Al makes it official. Storm says Smooth talks too much, and if he survives Fulton tonight, he'll be waiting to kick his butt at 4th Street and take the title!

TELEVISION TITLE GAUNTLET:
Shiloh Jonze (w/DL3 & Big D) defeats "Mr. Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (w/Mrs. Marvelous). Melvin stomps on Shiloh's hand as he argues with Mrs. Marvelous on the outside. He flips him back in the ring and then hurls him across the ring. He hits Shiloh in the corner and then delivers a hip toss. Shiloh chops him, but to no avail. Shiloh charges off the ropes into a clothesline. Big slam by Melvin. He goes for the Russian leg sweep, but Shiloh hits out of it and shoves Melvin into the corner. He rolls him up with his feet on the ropes and DL3 holding them for the 3.
Maximus Khan (c) defeats Shiloh Jonze (w/DL3 & Big D). Khan spears Shiloh for the 3.
Maximus Khan (c) defeats Nigel. Khan plows him down and Nigel tries to pay him off. Khan says it's not enough, ducks a swing from Nigel, then spears him for the 3.
Maximus Khan (c) defeats Brandon Espinosa. Khan with several clotheslines to Espy and a splash in the corner. Espy reverses a throw to the corner and dropkicks Khan in the back. Khan comes back with a spear off the ropes, but Espy rolls out. Espy grabs Khan off the apron and throws him off the apron. Back inside, Espy suplexes him back in from the apron and locks in a sleeper. Khan elbows out, but runs right back into the sleeper. Khan with a back body drop to break free. Powerful clotheslines and a spinebuster by Khan. He sets up, but Espy kicks him in the face. Espy jumps off the second rope, but Khan with the spear for the 3.
Drew Hernandez defeats Maximus Khan (c). Drew goes right after him and stomps him and steps across his back. He works him over in the corner. Khan fires back and goes for the spear, but gets kicked in the face. Khan catches him with a spinebuster.
Khan spears him as the Legacy of Brutality comes out. Khan is distracted as they all get on the apron. It allows Drew to recover and hit him with the Mayan Apocalypse for the 3.
After the match, The Legacy of Brutality all attack Khan. Leonis comes out to help, but the numbers game catches up and it's a 5-on-2 assault. The L.O.B. stands tall.

WOMEN'S TITLE MATCH: Megan Bayne (c) defeats Valerie Verman. Val attacks her before she can enter the ring. She throws her into the ringpost on the outside and works her over back inside. Meg finally starts to fire back and hits an F-5 for the 3 and the win.
After the match, Madison Rayne pops up on the screens and says congratulations to Megan. She goes on to say that as a former 5 time Knockouts Champion, there is one box that she hasn't checked off, OVW Women's Champion. She says Beth Phoenix, ODB, & Serena have held the title, now Megan? Ugh. She says she is coming to Fight for Freedom and will walk away with the title, but don't worry...she will leave Meg with a signed 8x10.

Gilbert Corsey says on September 11, Veterans Day, we pause to remember those who jumped in to fight for our country. He says last year, we lost Matt Cappotelli. This year, they will present their first ever "Cappotelli Courage Award" to the Johnson family and Lindsay Cappotelli will be there to present it to them.
Gilbert talks about the card for 4th Street and says that Kevin Nash will be there! He also says that Rhino has been confirmed to be in the TV Title gauntlet!

"The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth vs. Madman Fulton. Smooth is on the mic before the match and says sometimes he says things when he's mad, but he loves the fans and knows they don't want to see Corey Storm beat him on September 11. Smooth rolls out as Fulton enters the ring.
Smooth goes to walk away, but Sami Callihan shows up with a baseball bat and backs Smooth into the ring.
Corey Storm comes out to even the odds, but Smooth gives him Street Justice. Sami & Fulton then attack Smooth and choke him with bat.
Randall Floyd & Dustin Jackson run out, then Tony Gunn's music hits. Gunn pulls the bat away from Sami and points it at him, then hits Floyd & Dustin!
He shakes Sami's hand and they continue to hit Floyd & Dustin until the locker room empties and chases them out the side door.

This ended the TV taping.
