This is the OVW Report for Tuesday, January 14, 2020. OVW TV can be seen LIVE at 8PM ET on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area as well as Youtube! OVW Overdrive can be seen on Saturdays at 11AM. You can also find OVW TV on the OVW Network.

In this episode, we hear from a former OVW Femme Fatale who is returning soon, Maximus Khan faces Tony Gunn in a grudge match, a challenge is made to new #1 contender Ca$h Flo, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Crixus defeats Big D. D attacks Crixus, but Crixus comes right back with a shoulder tackle off the ropes and a slam. D pokes him in the eye and clubs him. He misses an elbow drop. Crixus with a ground and pound, followed by a Claymore Kick for the 3.

OVW Overdrive (Airing Saturdays at 11AM starting in January):

"Zero Gravity" AJ Daniels defeats William Lutz. They exchange wristlocks. AJ charges Lutz in the corner. Lutz moves, AJ flips over to the apron and kicks Lutz in the head. He leaps in, but Lutz moves and hits a reverse cross body for 2. AJ back with several kicks. Lutz fights back and pulls the straps down. Off the ropes, AJ catches him with a trouble in paradise. He goes up top, connects with the 450 splash, and gets the 3.

AJZ & Tony Bizo defeat Chace & Nigel. Bizo takes Nigel down in a test of strength. Chace tags in. Bizo locks up the arm and tags AJZ. They deliver a double hip toss. Off the ropes, Nigel kicks AJZ in the back. Chace knocks him out of the ring where Nigel stomps him. Back inside, they try to do a wishbone on him, but he kicks them off and tags Bizo. Bizo throws them into each other in the corner and clotheslines them both in the corner. Off the ropes, AJZ gets back in and they hit Chace with a 4D for the 3.

NON-TITLE MATCH: Anarchy Champion Amon defeats "The Mayan Mauler" Drew Hernandez. Face-off, then Drew hits Amon into the corner. He shoudlers him, then chops him hard, but Amon just gets madder. He shoulders Drew in the corner, then spits in his hands and rubs them all over Drew's face. He throws Drew outside. Amon locks him in a sleeper. Amon then throws him into the ringpost. He stands on Drew by the guardrail, then finally rolls him back in. He chokes Drew in the ropes. Amon sets up for the STH, but Drew reverses it into a Samoan drop. He shoulder tackles him 4 times. Amon jumps back to his feet and nails the STH for the 3!

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches and Overdrive. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the report. Again, you can check OVW out on Youtube or WBNA-21 in the Louisville area LIVE at 8PM and Overdrive Saturdays at 11AM on WBNA-21. Also, catch OVW on the OVW Network.

Dr. Ted McNaler & Gilbert Corsey are on commentary, and Brittany Devore is the ring announcer.

Gilbert Corsey brings out the NEW #1 contender, Ca$h Flo and the Legacy of Brutality. Josh Ashcraft says Ca$h is the #1 contender and their plan came together well. Ca$h says Justin Smooth is going by "Hollywood", but Hollywood means fake and depraved. He is going to straight knock Smooth out at the February 1 Saturday Night Special. Leonis Khan comes out. He says it took Ca$h two tries to win. He says Ca$h might be twice the size, but only has half the balls. He challenges Ca$h for his #1 contendership. Ca$h says to bring his carcass out here and he will annihilate him later tonight!
Corey Storm, Dimes, & Maximus Khan run into the ring and Leonis says he has his squad too, to keep things evened up. Justin Smooth comes out and says no one is worthy of facing him anyway. He will be watching from the back tonight.

We see a video from Ray Lyn. She says since she was last at OVW 6 years ago, she's traveled all over the world. One thing that she never accomplished? Becoming the OVW Women's Champion! So, how about she returns to Louisville, and we get a little Ray Cray?

At ringside, Gilbert Corsey & Dr. Ted McNaler are running through the card for tonight, when they get interrupted by Shannon the Dude. Shannon says Ted is ranked 10th out of 5 possible OVW announcers. He says he could eat alphabet soup and crap better commentary than Ted. He tells him to hit the bricks and takes over on commentary with Gilbert.

"The Hammer" Randall Floyd & Steve Michaels vs. Dustin Jackson & "Action" Ashton Cove.
Dustin with dropkicks to Steve into the corner. Cove tags in, but gets attacked by Floyd. They double team Cove and work him over. Dustin gets in and knocks Steve out of the ring, then hits a Deal Breaker to Floyd! He puts Cove on top of Floyd for the 3.
WINNERS: COVE & DUSTIN by pinfall.

Melvin Maximus comes out and says he wants Amon out here now, and wants his girl too! Amon comes out with one of Mrs. Marvelous' dresses and Melvin goes out after him. He hits him into the ring and the steps and clotheslines him inside. Mrs. Marvelous walks out and smacks Melvin in the face! Amon hits him with an STH and walks away with Mrs. Marvelous, who looks to be in a trance.

Luscious Lawrence vs. KTD.
They lock up. Off the ropes, Lawrence plows KTD down. He powerslams him, then powerbombs him. He poses and hits the Luscious Legdrop. He goes for a long-standing vertical suplex, but KTD flips out and kicks him. A dropkick, a spinning back elbow, and an atomic drop. An inverted atomic drop. KTD with a huge right, then goes up top. Lawrence catches him and hits a running powerslam for the 3.
WINNER: LUSCIOUS by pinfall.

GRUDGE MATCH: "Shotgun" Tony Gunn vs. Maximus Khan.
They lock up and Khan clean breaks in the corner. Khan shoulder blocks him down. A big right hand. Off the ropes, Gunn blocks a dropkick, but Khan comes back with another one. He clotheslines Gunn out of the ring, then follows him out. He hits him around ringside, then rolls him in. Gunn hits the knee and chops him in the corner. It only angers Khan. He throws Gunn in the corner and chops him hard. Khan drives him into the corner and shoulders him in. He charges at Gunn, but right into a knee. Gunn charges, but into a clothesline from Khan. Flying clothesline off the ropes from Khan, then a spinebuster. He sets up for the spear, but Gunn rolls out and grabs a chair. The ref counts him out and Gunn retreats to the back.
WINNER: KHAN by countout.

#1 CONTENDER MATCH: Ca$h Flo (w/Josh Ashcraft) vs. Leonis Khan.
Ca$h hides behind the OVW banner by the entrance curtain. He ambushes Leonis from behind. Ca$h clubs him on the floor at ringside, then runs him into the steel steps. He rolls him in, goes up top, and hits the leg drop off the top for 2! Somehow, Khan kicked out. Ca$h slams him, but misses a big boot. Leonis fires up, chopping Ca$h. Ca$h knees him, then chops the ref by mistake. Big Zo, Corey Storm, Hy Zaya, Dimes, Jay Bradley, & Maximus Khan all get in consecutively hitting their finishers on one another. Tony Gunn then gets in and hits Maximus with a Killshot. It's back to just Ca$h and Leonis. Leonis with a spear to Ca$h. Justin Smooth runs out and pulls the ref out, then hits him. Another ref runs out and calls the match a no contest. Dean Hill comes out and says that on February 1, Dean Hill's law says 3-way dance! Smooth will defend against Ca$h Flo AND Leonis Khan!
NO CONTEST.

This ended the TV taping.
