OVW TV 1100: Gunn vs. Bulletproof

This is the OVW Report for Tuesday, August 18, 2020. In this episode, Tony Gunn defends the Heavyweight Title against Brian Pillman Jr., the Women's Title is up for grabs, Dustin Jackson looks for revenge against Adam Revolver, plus more!

OVW Overdrive (Airing Saturdays at 11AM):

Eric Cornish & Steven Johnson are on commentary, Jay Best is the ring announcer.

FATAL 4 WAY: Manny Lemons vs. "Action" Ashton Cove vs. Troy Coffey vs. Gustavo. Coffey headbutts and clotheslines all 3 men. Gustavo leaps in and delivers a hurricanrana to Coffey, then dives to the outside on him. Lemons rolls Gustavo in and pins for 2. Cove arm drags Lemons and dropkicks him. He hits Lemons with a reverse DDT for 2 as Coffey breaks the pin. Coffey gets knocked out of the ring and Gustavo hits the 3 Amigos on Cove. Lemons breaks the pin, but Gustavo takes him down with a spinning suplex for the 3.
WINNER: GUSTAVO by pinfall.

Luscious Lawrence (w/Dillon McQueen) vs. Gnarls "Big Beef" Garvin. Garvin with a quick start and a dropkick. He slams Lawrence and goes for a piledriver, but Dillon pulls Lawrence to safety, then distracts Garvin. Lawrence attacks Garvin from behind. He throws him in the corner and delivers the butt bumps. Garvin comes back and goes for a slam, but Lawrence slides off and powerslams him. He misses the Luscious Legdrop. Garvin fires back again, but gets distracted by Dillon on the apron. He runs into a running butt bump from Lawrence and then Lawrence hits the splash off the top rope for the 3.
WINNER: LUSCIOUS by pinfall.

Dean Hill is out first to discuss a little about OVW's history and says he is honored to have hosted episode #1, and now episode #1100.

"Mr. Pec-tacular" Jessie Godderz (w/Shannon the Dude) vs. "Livewire" KTD. KTD with a quick arm drag after Jessie locks him up in the corner. Jessie stomps him and locks in a full nelson. He rakes his eyes in the ropes and snapmares him. He drops a leg, then misses a second legdrop. KTD grounds and pounds him, but runs into a spinebuster. Jessie locks him up in a Boston crab for the tapout.
WINNER: GODDERZ by submission.

"Complete Package": "Supernatural" Tony Bizo & "The 6-Tool Product" Anthony Catena & "The Tate Twins": Brandon & Brent vs. "The Legacy of Brutality"Big Zo, Ca$h Flo, Steve Michaels, & "Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya (w/Josh Ashcraft).
Ca$h gets taken down by all 4 men who tag in and out early, including getting a spinebuster from Bizo. He stuns Bizo and tags Zo. Zo gets double suplexed by Bizo & Catena, then the Tates tag in. The L.O.B. regain control against Bizo. Michaels clubs him hard and Ca$h chops him. Bizo returns fire and slams him. Bizo shoulders him in the corner, but misses another charge. Michaels tags back in, but Catena tags in and then all heck breaks loose. All 8 men fight in and around the ring. In the end, Brandon accidentally hits a cross body on Catena. Michaels throws Brandon out, then splashes Catena and picks up the 3.
WINNERS: LEGACY by pinfall.
After the match, the Tates and Complete Package argue and shove each other over the loss.

Brian Pillman Jr. is out and says his journey started at OVW, and 2.5 years later, he now has the opportunity to fight for the Heavyweight Title. He says Tony Gunn spit in his face, his father's face, and the face of all those who came before him. He tells him to bring all the guns he has, he will show him why he is "bulletproof". Gunn attacks him in the entrance way, and refs come out to break them apart.

OVW ANARCHY TITLE: Mrs. Marvelous vs. "Mr. Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (c).
Mrs. Marvelous wants to fight him and keeps smacking him. He doesn't want to fight and she low blows him for the 3!
WINNER and NEW ANARCHY CHAMPION: MRS. MARVELOUS by pinfall.
After the match, she gets a mic and says she wants to defend her title right now against Amon!
OVW ANARCHY TITLE: Amon vs. Mrs. Marvelous (c).
Amon laughs as he spins her around and puts her in a trance again. He then pins her!
WINNER and NEW ANARCHY CHAMPION: AMON by pinfall.

Adam Revolver vs. Dustin Jackson. Dustin takes it to Adam early and hits a dropkick. He goes up top, but William Lutz runs out and distracts him. Adam slams Dustin off the top rope and chops him in the corner. Dustin returns fire and delivers an atomic drop. Adam regains control and locks in a sleeper hold. Dustin fights out and chops him in the corner. He hits a dropkick and goes up top. He kicks Lutz off the apron, knocks Adam back down, then hits the splash off the top rope for the 3.
WINNER: DUSTIN by pinfall.
After the match, Revolver argues with Lutz. Ruin comes out and points at Revolver. Revolver throws Lutz at him and Ruin chokeslams him, then chases Revolver to the back.

Dimes & Jay Bradley vs. "Category 5" Corey Storm & "The Show Stealer" Rocco Bellagio. Corey with quick kicks to Jay and he tags Rocco. Rocco and Jay collide. Jay goes for a Boomstick, but eats a big boot out of the ring. Dimes checks on Jay as Rocco throws Corey out onto both of them. Back inside, Jay regains control against Corey. He drops him across the top turnbuckle and steps across his chest. Dimes tags himself in and goes for Jay's elbow out of the corner, but Corey moves. He tries to get to Rocco, but Dimes pulls him back over and tags Jay back in. Corey gets double teamed. Jay slams him hard near the corner and steps across his chest. He goes for the elbow drop out of the corner, but Corey moves. Jay lands on his feet. Corey hits a tornado DDT out of the corner and both men are down. Both men tag. Rocco fires away on Dimes and hits a powerslam. Jay saves him from a Plunge. Rocco fires away on Jay and hits a spinebuster. Rocco tags Corey and Plunges Jay. He grabs Dimes and Corey hits the Eye of the Storm for the 3.
WINNERS: ROCCO & STORM by pinfall.

OVW WOMEN'S TITLE SCRAMBLE: "Hollyhood" Haley J vs. Billie Starkz vs. Alice Crowley vs. Becky Idol vs. Kayla Kassidy.
A scramble with all 5 ladies fighting all over. A corner spot with 2 superplexes and 2 powerbombs. In the end, Kayla hits Billie with a DDT through the ropes to pick up the 3.
WINNER and NEW WOMEN'S CHAMPION: KASSIDY by pinfall.

Roman Rozell vs. Manny Lemons.
An arm drag and spinning back elbow from Roman. Manny tries to come back, but Roman takes him back down and locks him in the single leg Boston crab for the tapout.
WINNER: ROMAN by submission.

Al Snow comes out and is happy the fans are all here for the 1100th consecutive episode. He talks about OVW being accredited and airing all over the world. He says since they are now national, there will be a new title, the OVW National Heavyweight Title!
A tournament is upcoming to crown the inaugural champion. The OVW Champion will be the #1 contender for the National Title.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: "Bulletproof" Brian Pillman Jr. vs. "Shotgun" Tony Gunn (c).
Brian takes Gunn down and fires away. They exchange blows on the mat and end up in the ropes. They fight to the outside. Back inside, Brian chops him in the corner. He runs into a boot from Gunn. Gunn clotheslines him and chops him in the corner. Brian catches him with a kick to the face. He goes up top and Gunn rolls out. Gunn shoulders his way in and claws him across the back. Brian fires back in the corner and locks up the arm. Gunn throws him off the ropes, but Brian kicks him in the face. Gunn rolls out and trips him off the ropes. On the apron, Brian kicks him in the face. Brian rolls him in and goes up again. Gunn kicks the top rope and Brian falls off the top rope to the floor. Back in, Gunn hits him with a release suplex. Gunn wraps the left leg up in the ropes and then hits it off the apron. Gunn hits a flying knee to the face. He tries to pin for 1. He locks the leg up in a submission. Brian fights out, snapmares Gunn, then kicks him in the back. Some kicks to the chest, but Gunn grabs his leg and slings him down. He chops him in the corner. Brian reverses a throw, but Gunn moves and goes up top. He misses another flying knee and Brian super kicks him. Gunn hits him and places him up top. They fight up top and Brian kicks him off. He goes up and hits a flying clothesline for 2. Brian goes for a suplex, Gunn slips out. Brian ducks a Killshot, but Gunn hits him with a triad of German suplexes. He covers for 2. Brian clotheslines Gunn and they both tumble out of the ring to the floor. They both roll in before the 10 count. They exchange blows in the middle of the ring. Brian hits a powerslam. He goes for the Jackhammer, but his knee is out. Gunn hits the Killshot, but Brian rolls out of the ring. Brian hits Gunn's head off the turnbuckle to get in, then hits the flying body press. He hits the Jackhammer, but Gunn rolls away. Gunn with chops, but Brian fires back. Gunn with a low blow!
WINNER: PILLMAN by DQ, but STILL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: GUNN.
