OVW TV 1104: A Less Than "Pec-tacular" Ending

 

This is the OVW Report for Tuesday, October 6, 2020. In this episode, the inaugural National Heavyweight Champion Jessie Godderz has a celebration, the Women's Champion Mazzerati and Anarchy Champion Amon are in action, plus more!

"Hollyhood"
 Haley J vs. "The Pretty Little Psycho" Shawna Reed
.
Reed takes the fight to Haley, but misses a charge. Haley with a monkey flip, then a high knee off the ropes. Reed back with a swinging neckbreaker for 2. Haley with some chops and a kick to the head to take her down for the 3.
WINNER: HALEY by pinfall.

"The Legacy of Brutality"
: Ca$h Flo, Steve Michaels, & "Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft & Big Zo)
 vs. "Zero Gravity" AJ Daniels, "The Nephilim" D'mone Solavino, & Isaiah Broner.
Isaiah takes the fight to Ca$h, so he tags out to Steve. Steve clubs down AJ who tagged in. The Legacy keeps AJ cornered, working him over with quick blows from Hy and a hip toss slam. Steve has AJ up in an electric chair and Hy comes off the top with a leg lariat off the shoulders for the 3.
WINNERS: LEGACY by pinfall.

Brandon Espinosa vs. Howe
.
Espy pulls Howe into the corner by his hair. Howe locks up the arm. Espy hits him into the corner and stomps him. Howe kicks him away and flips up on the top turnbuckle. Espy pulls him down. He locks in a headlock. He throws Howe in the corner and runs into a back elbow. Howe kicks Espy in the head from the apron. Back inside, Espy runs into an inverted atomic drop and some clotheslines. Howe with a running knee to the face. Espy back with a chinbuster and a disaster kick. Howe comes back and nails the Rock 'n' Roll DDT for the 3.
WINNER: HOWE by pinfall.

"Hollywood"
Adam Swayze vs. Gustavo
.
Quick pin attempts from Gustavo. Adam gets mad at the ref on his pin attempts. He slams Gustavo and drops some elbows. Gustavo fires back off the ropes and hits the reverse neckbreaker drop for the 3.
WINNER: GUSTAVO by pinfall.

"Greatness Personified"
 TGA Moss vs. "The Golden Boy" AJZ
.
Quick back and forth ends in a stalemate and a fist bump between the 2 competitors. TGA with a hard forearm and roll up for 2, but AJZ comes back with a DDT. From the apron, AJZ tries to suplex him in. TGA holds the ropes and hits a cross body for 2. AJZ with some hard forearms, but TGA kicks his arm away and hits a boot to the face and a hard clothesline to the back of the head for 2. AJZ catches TGA with a spinning cutter and locks in a chinlock submission for the tapout.
WINNER: AJZ by submission.

Rush Champion Dimes vs. Omar Amir
.
Omar grabs Dimes by the tights as he tries to run away. Dimes grabs the ropes and says to let go, so Omar does and drops him on his face. He slams him and Dimes rolls out and grabs a chair. Omar takes it away, then the ref takes it away from Omar. Dimes uses the distraction to take out Omar's knee. He hurricanrana's Omar into the top turnbuckle. He hits a tadpole splash for 1 as Omar easily throws him off. Omar back with clotheslines and a belly to belly suplex. Jay Bradley runs out and gets on the apron, but KTD runs out and pulls him off and throws him into the ringpost. Dimes jumps on Omar's back, but he slings him off. He catches Dimes with a huge spinebuster for the 3.
WINNER: OMAR by pinfall.

We open with Bryan Kennison in the ring. He brings out the inaugural National Heavyweight Champion, Jessie Godderz! Jessie is played out by a live band and is accompanied by Shannon the Dude. This is the prime time party. Shannon says Jessie has gotten offers from everywhere since becoming champion. Jessie talks about how he's faster, better, bigger, and stronger than the likes of Dimes, Jay Bradley, Ca$h Flo, Rudy Switchblade, & Tony Gunn among others.
Gunn comes out and says he has never gotten a big party or live band and has a problem with how the powers that be have treated him as the company's main champion. Gunn says as Heavyweight Champion, he can come after Jessie's title any time he wants to.
Dustin Jackson
comes out and says Gunn has to defend the title every 30 days, and Brian Pillman Jr. might be the next in line, but he's not here tonight and he asked Al Snow for a shot tonight. Gunn says he doesn't have to prove himself to him and will not say yes to Al Snow. Dustin says yes, Gunn says no. The Daffy Duck/Bugs Bunny routine occurs and Gunn ends up saying yes. Gunn says that's fine, because he will teach Dustin's punk butt a lesson tonight. Dustin says he will kick Gunn's @**!

"Supernatural"
Tony Bizo vs. Brandon Tate.
Tate fires away at Bizo, but Bizo rams him into the corner. Tate kicks him and jumps off the top and is caught. Tate slips away, but Bizo throws him to the corner. Bizo eats a boot as he charges in. Tate charges in and Bizo flips him onto the apron. He goes to jump in, but Bizo forearms him to the floor. On the outside, Bizo hits him and rolls him back in. Tate fires back, but goes down on his ankle and screams out in pain. The ref is checking him, but Bizo moves the ref and drops Tate with a Bizo Bomb.
WINNER: NO CONTEST.
After the match, Brent Tate runs out and fights with Bizo to the back.

A medical emergency in the stands caused the show to hit a standstill for a bit as EMS had to come in for a fan who had a medical episode. The fan was able to stand and walk to the stretcher. WBNA will allow OVW to stay on the air until after the show concludes.

NON-TITLE MATCH: "Action" Ashton Cove vs. Anarchy Champion Amon (w/Misery).
Cove fires away, but Amon continues hitting his head into the turnbuckle and laughs. Amon slams Cove, then clotheslines him to the outside. Misery chokes him on the outside. Amon hits a leaping clothesline from the middle rope. Off the ropes, Cove with a sunset flip for 2. Amon chokes Cove in the ropes as Melvin Maximus runs out. He throws holy water in Amon's face and Cove covers him for the 3!
WINNER: COVE by pinfall.
After the match, Amon clotheslines Melvin from behind and runs off with Misery.

NON-TITLE MATCH: Joseline Navarro vs. Women's Champion Mazzerati.
Navarro with a quick start and some dropkicks. She splashes Mazz in the corner. Mazz comes back and takes control, but Navarro hits a DDT. She follows up with some clotheslines, then hangs Mazz up in the ropes. She hits running knees to the back, then kicks her in the face. She covers for 2. Mazz back with a reverse kick to the back of the head for the 3.
WINNER: MAZZERATI by pinfall.

HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Dustin Jackson vs. "Shotgun" Tony Gunn (c).
Shannon the Dude & Jessie Godderz
make their way out and kick Bryan & Steven off commentary. Gunn fires on Dustin early, then Dustin comes roaring back. Gunn gets in the ropes, then comes out with a cheap shot. Gunn pulls him outside and Dustin hits Gunn off the apron. He rolls Gunn in. Off the ropes, Dustin hits a dropkick and Gunn is back out. Dustin jumps on the top rope and Gunn shakes it. Dustin catches himself without hitting the guard rail, but Gunn clotheslines him on the floor. Gunn rolls him back in and hits him with some shots to the midsection in the corner. Gunn with a snapmare and submission hold. Dustin tries to fire up, but gets a knee to the midsection off the ropes. Dustin fires back again and hits a cross body for 2. Gunn hits him into the top turnbuckle and leaps off the top with a forearm for 2. He covers again for 2. A third attempt for 2. Gunn with a hard left. He mounts him in the corner and delivers some more lefts, then claws Dustin's eye. Dustin fires back and clotheslines him down. He splashes him in the corner, but Gunn throws him off of a bulldog attempt. Gunn hits him and Dustin comes back off the ropes with a boot to the face. He hits the bulldog, then a blue thunder bomb. Gunn rolls out by the announce table. He throws a water bottle at Jessie as Dustin leaps out on him. He rolls Gunn in and Jessie gets on the apron and throws the water bottle at Gunn. Dustin rolls him up in a small package, but the ref is getting Jessie off the apron. Dustin back with a neckbreaker off his knee. He goes up top, but Jessie is back on the apron. Gunn gets the knees up and hits the Killshot for the 3.
WINNER and STILL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: GUNN by pinfall.

This ended the TV taping.
