OVW TV 1128: Busted Dreams

This is the OVW Report for Tuesday, March 23, 2021. OVW TV can be seen LIVE at 8PM ET on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area with repeats Saturday nights at 9PM, and you can also watch via 
Youtube, Roku, Thursdays at 7PM on FITE or Friday nights at 12AM Midnight on YTA! OVW Overdrive can be seen on Saturdays at 11AM on WBNA-21.

In this episode, Tony Gunn vs. Kal Herro with the fanny pack up for grabs, Dustin Jackson faces off with Tony Bizo in a qualifier for a spot in the #1 contender to the National Title ladder match, Mahabali Shera is back in action, plus much more!

Eric Cornish & AJ McKay are on commentary, and the ring announcer is Ms. Stephanie.

Hog Hollow Hillbillies vs. "Southern Discomfort": Jebidiah Blackhawk & Snake Williams Jr. (w/Jessie Belle)

The Hillbillies ask for a handshake, then attack Discomfort. They work over Jeb for a shirt time before he gets the tag to Snake. They quickly dispose of one of the Hillbillies and hit a double chokeslam off the ropes for the 3.
WINNERS: SOUTHERN DISCOMFORT by pinfall.

"Superior"
Tony Evans vs. "The Headliner" Chris Michaels
.
They lock up and Chris trips Evans up. He locks in a side headlock. Evans dives out through the ring ropes to break the hold. Evans takes control, stomping Chris, then raking his face across the top rope and hitting him in the corner. He charges, but Chris leaps over with a sunset flip for 2. He tries again to pin with a bridge for 2. Evans catches Chris with a quick powerslam off the ropes and stomps his face. He throws Chris hard into the corner and chokes him in the ropes. Chris back with some hard rights. Some axehandles, then runs into a boot in the corner. Evans charges, but Chris with a big spinebuster for 2. Chris goes for a super kick, but Evans with a chop. It looks like Evans sets up for a pedigree, but Chris flips him over, then connects with a super kick for the 3.
WINNER: MICHAELS by pinfall.

"Controlled Chaos"
: Crash Taylor & Henry Shaw vs. "The Box Office Blonds": "Hollywood" Adam Swayze & "Co-Star" Rex
.
Shaw grabs Adam and delivers a big right. Shaw & Crash exchange giving rights to Adam. They deliver a double elbow drop. Crash stomps him and delivers an elbow drop. Rex takes Crash out from behind and the Blonds take control. Shaw gets a hot tag and takes Adam down for 2. Chaos goes for a double team finisher, but Rex breaks it up. Shaw is knocked out of the ring and they deliver the Director's Cut to Crash for the 3.
WINNERS: BOX OFFICE BLONDS by pinfall.

Charlie Kruel vs. "Double A" Arie Alexander
.
Kruel offers Arie a pop tart, then wants to play pattycake and duck, duck, goose. She gets mad at how Arie is playing and attacks her from behind. She hits her in the corner, but Arie comes back and hits her in another corner, then drops herself on Kruel across the bottom rope. She finisher her off with the Dreamcatcher for the 3.
WINNER: ARIE by pinfall.

"Iron Bear"
 Tom Coffey vs. "Savage" Kyle Hawk
.
Hawk avoids a charge at him and chops Tom in the corner. Off the ropes, he runs into a brick wall as Tom shoulder blocks him down. He delivers a big slam and tells the ref to ask him if he's done. He locks in a bear hug. Hawk with some chops and a kick to the head. He charges Tom, but gets flipped to the apron. He hits Tom and goes up top. He flies off with a tomahawk chop and covers for 2. Tom blocks Hawk and hits him with the Big Bear Slam for the 3.
WINNER: COFFEY by pinfall.

"The Wayward Warrior"
 Jared Kripke vs. 
Star Rider.
They lock up. Off the ropes, Star with a dropkick for 1. Jared with a headscissor into the corner on Star, then a 8-1-2. He hits a missile dropkick. He chops Star and goes for a suplex. Star flips over and hits a kick to the head. He misses a curb stomp, then Jared hits a falcon arrow for 2. Star catches a boot and plants Jared on the mat. He delivers a double foot stomp to the gut for 2. Jared back with a kick and a backstabber for 2. He gets Star on his shoulders, but he slides off and hits a knee to Jared's face. He dropkicks Jared into the corner and then flips onto him. He goes up top and hits the 5-star frog splash for the 3.
WINNER: STAR by pinfall.

"The Nephilim"
 D'mone Solavino vs. JC Addams
.
JC with a quick start, hitting a dropkick and tries several roll-ups. D'mone catches him and hits a German suplex. D'mone works him over, but JC starts to fire back. JC with a springboard cross body for 2. He catches D'mone with a kick to the face. JC climbs up, but D'mone gets up and clubs him. He delivers an electric chair drop. He grabs JC and tries to wrap him around the ringpost, but William Lutz runs out and attacks D'mone. The ref calls for the bell. Lutz takes the fight to D'mone and gives him a taste of his own medicine, wrapping D'mone up around the ringpost.
WINNER: D'MONE by DQ.

Reverend Ronnie Roberts is out for the Good Word and says Omar Amir went to another man's place of work and beat him up, but he also wonders why the Legacy of Brutality hasn't done anything about it. Al Snow comes out and says Ronnie likes to stir the pot and he is here tonight to take care of this. He says since he is already out here, he might as well take care of business now. He brings Omar out. He says he represents the company and has to do something. Omar apologizes and says he lost his temper.
Al says he has to suspend Omar for 30 days. The Legacy of Brutality comes out and Josh Ashcraft says they have a deal. Al tells him to shut up. He suspended Omar and in 30 days at the April 24 SNS, he will defend the Heavyweight Title against Ca$h Flo
. Ca$h says if it doesn't make dollars, it doesn't make sense and Omar doesn't make sense. He has a vacation now and will have a vacation later when he vacates the Heavyweight Title to him
!

Abraham vs. "The Indian Lion" Mahabali Shera.
Shera clotheslines Abraham, but can't take him down. Abraham hits him with a Samoan drop and Shera pops right back up. Shera connects with the Sky High for the 3.
WINNER: SHERA by pinfall.

SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT OPEN CHALLENGE: "Big Money" Dimes
 vs. Gustavo.
Dimes with a throat thrust, but Gustavo comes back with several quick roll-ups. He hits a kick to the head and the Three Amigos for 2. Gustavo goes up top and hits a missile dropkick. Dimes grabs some powder, but Gustavo kicks it into his face. Dimes, blinded, still catches Gustavo with a Change Maker outta nowhere for the 3.
WINNER: DIMES by pinfall.

FANNY PACK ON THE LINE: "Shotgun" Tony Gunn vs. "The Fanny Pack Kid" Kal Herro.
Gunn ambushes Kal from behind on the ramp and throws him into the ringpost. Gunn rolls him into the ring and tells the ref to start the match. Gunn goes for the pin, but Kal gets the arm up at 2. Gunn holds both shoulders down and tries again, but Kal kicks out at 2. Gunn tries with his arm across the face of Kal, but Kal kicks out again. Gunn hooks the leg, but still Kal kicks out. Kal tries a quick small package for 2. Gunn kicks him in the head, then delivers a release vertical suplex. Gunn with some hard rights. He slams him, then Kal flips over on a reverse DDT attempt and hits a reverse DDT for 2. Gunn comes back with the Killshot for the 3.
WINNER of the FANNY PACK: GUNN by pinfall.

#1 CONTENDER 
FOR THE NATIONAL HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE LADDER MATCH QUALIFIER: "The Complete Package" Tony Bizo vs. Dustin Jackson.
They lock up and break. Dustin goes to grab Bizo, but he runs out of the ring. Dustin goes for him, but gets stomped as he rolls back in. Dustin with a dropkick off the ropes. He slams Bizo for 1. Dustin places him in the corner and kicks him. Bizo rolls out and Dustin leaps out on him. Back inside, he goes for a bulldog, but Bizo pulls him down by his hair. Bizo takes control as the Box Office Blonds come out to watch. Bizo controls, slamming Dustin and kneeing him in the face. Bizo with a full nelson, but Dustin works his way out, only to be caught with a spinebuster. Bizo goes for the pin, but Dustin kicks out. Bizo locks in a sleeper. Dustin hits a jaw dropper, then they connect heads off the ropes and Bizo is busted open and bleeding profusely. Drew Hernandez comes out and Dustin pushes him into Rex. Rex goes after Drew and plows over Dustin. Dustin gets grabbed by Bizo for a Bizo bomb, but the ref calls for the bell due to the blood rule.
NO CONTEST.

POST-SHOW DARK MATCH:

"Mr. Juicy"
Luscious Lawrence (w/"Hollyhood" Haley J) vs. "The Mayan Mauler" Drew Hernandez.
Drew fires away and Luscious has to go out. He uses Haley as a shield to attack Drew. He butt bumps him in the corner. Drew smacks Luscious's backside and is in control, but Haley grabs his boot and smacks him. Luscious hits the powerslam and gets the 3.
WINNER: LUSCIOUS by pinfall.

This ended the TV taping.
