OVW TV 1129: Bro vs. Bizo Part 2

This is the OVW Report for Tuesday, March 30, 2021. OVW TV can be seen LIVE at 8PM ET on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area with repeats Saturday nights at 9PM, and you can also watch via 
Youtube, Roku, Thursdays at 7PM on FITE or Friday nights at 12AM Midnight on YTA! OVW Overdrive can be seen on Saturdays at 11AM on WBNA-21.

In this episode, Dustin Jackson faces off with Tony Bizo in a rematch that is also a qualifier for a spot in the #1 contender to the National Title ladder match, Mahabali Shera is in action against Jackson Stone, Women's Champion Haley J goes up against Katalina Perez, plus much more!

OVW Overdrive (Airing Saturdays at 11AM):

Eric Cornish & AJ McKay are on commentary, and the ring announcer is Ms. Stephanie.

"The Legacy of Brutality"
: Big Zo & Steve Michaels (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft) vs. "The Wayward Warrior" Jared Kripke & "Mr. Zero Gravity" AJ Daniels
.
AJ goes around Zo and kicks him in the back of the leg. Off the ropes, Zo catches him and rams him into the corner. AJ flips over him and tags Kripke. Kripke with some shots to Zo, but Zo rams him into the corner and tags Steve in. Steve clubs him and locks in a side headlock. Zo with a big forearm. Kripke with a quick sunset flip for 2. He leaps over Zo to tag AJ. AJ leaps in with a dropkick to Zo, but Zo tags Steve. AJ goes for a double dropkick. He enziguris Steve and tags Kripke. Kripke dropkicks Steve in the corner, chokes him in the ropes, and hits a 619. He goes up top as Zo tags himself in. Zo catches him off the top, and him & Steve deliver the double chokeslam to Kripke, folding him up for the 3.
WINNERS: LEGACY by pinfall.

Brandon Espinosa (w/Jared Westinghouse) vs. Gary Bandy
.
Espy with the early offense. He chokes Gary in the ropes and jumps across his back in the ropes. Espy with a nice dropkick and a submission. Gary works his way back and starts to fire up. He goes for the double underhook DDT, but Espy blocks it. He hits a roundhouse kick, then connects with the brainbuster for the 3.
WINNER: ESPINOSA by pinfall.

"Demolition"
Dunn vs. "Shotgun" Tony Gunn
.
Dunn with a side headlock. Gunn throws him off the ropes and shoulder blocks him down. Off the ropes again, Gunn blocks a dropkick. Hard clothesline from Gunn, then a hard chop in the corner. Gunn chokes him and clubs him across the back. Gunn with the release vertical suplex. He kicks Dunn in the back and clubs him in the back of the neck. Dunn tries to fire back in the corner. Gunn runs into a boot. Dunn leaps off the middle turnbuckle, but Gunn moves and Dunn splats on the mat. Dunn slides away from Gunn and hits a chinbuster, but Gunn runs into a Killshot for the 3.
WINNER: GUNN by pinfall.
After the match, Kal Herro comes out and asks Gunn for one more chance. Gunn says he will make this short, no. He's taken his fanny pack and his jacket. The only thing left is his boots. Kal says he needs those to wrestle. Gunn says exactly. If Kal says yes, and when he beats him next week, he won't wrestle anymore. Kal says he might have taken the fanny pack and jacket, but he won't take his dream. He accepts.

Snoop vs. Star Rider
.
Very quick offense. Snoop controls early with a kick to the head and a punch to the face. Snoop works over the arm. Star back with a nice dropkick and hits Snoop in the corner. Snoop meets a kick to the face, then Star flies off with a body press. Snoop rolls to the apron and shoulders Star, then flips in with a pin for 2. Hurricanrana from Snoop, then Star meets him with a kick to the face. Star clubs him in the back. Snoop with a fallaway slam. He dives out on Star. Back inside, Star with a super kick. He hits a knee to the face, dropkick into the corner, then a flip onto a seated Snoop. He goes up top and connects with the 5-Star Frog Splash for the 3.
WINNER: STAR by pinfall.

"Mr. Juicy"
 Luscious Lawrence (w/"Hollyhood" Haley J) vs. Heath Hatton
.
Heath with a quick roll-up attempt and then a few more early. Heath with a dropkick. Haley causes a distraction, and Luscious takes control. He clubs Heath from behind and works him over. Heath tries to fire back, but Luscious dodges a spear, and Heath goes into the ringpost. Luscious plants him with a powerslam for the 3.
WINNER: LUSCIOUS by pinfall.

"Superior"
 Tony Evans vs. 
Gustavo.
Evans traps Gustavo in the corner and slings him back into it. Gustavo with a boot to the face and a tilt-a-whirl headscissors. He gets caught by Evans and thrown face first into the corner. Evans works over Gustavo in the corner and slings him across the ring. He delivers a backdrop for 2. Gustavo back with several roll-up attempts, but a hard clubbing blow from Evans. Off the ropes, Gustavo back with a crucifix pin for the 3!
WINNER: GUSTAVO by pinfall.

"Hollywood"
 Adam Swayze (w/"Co-Star" Rex) vs. "Rockstar" Ryan Howe
.
Adam attacks Howe after a distraction from Rex. Every time Howe starts to rally, Rex interferes. Rex pushes Howe off the ropes and the ref ejects Rex from ringside. Howe fires up, hits an uppercut. He hits the Chart Topper, then a neckbreaker drop for the 3.
WINNER: HOWE by pinfall.

"The Iron Bear"
 Tom Coffey vs. "The Fanny Pack Kid" Kal Herro.
Kal goes after Tom's leg, but Tom elbows him. He slams Kal and hits him in the ropes and into the corner. Tom elbows Kal across the back of the head, then hits him in the face. Kal chops him and goes for the bionic elbow, but gets locked in a bearhug. Tom rams him into the corner, but misses a charge. Kal with some bionic elbows. He kicks the knee and locks in a side headlock, that he then turns into a bulldog off the ropes. He goes up top and tries a double axehandle, but Tom catches him and hits the Big Bear Slam for the 3.
WINNER: COFFEY by pinfall.

Ca$h Flo (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft) vs. "Savage" Kyle Hawk.
Hawk runs into a boot from Ca$h. Ca$h hits him in the corner. Hawk back with a kick to the head. Ca$h throws him in the ropes. Hawk spiders in the ropes and moves as Ca$h charges. He goes for a baseball slide, but Ca$h moves and chops him to the floor. Back inside, Ca$h mocks the rain dance and drops Hawk to the mat. Hawk back with kicks and chops. Hawk goes up top, but Ca$h catches him and slams him hard. He slams him hard again, then goes up top. Ca$h goes up top and hits Payload for the 3.
WINNER: CA$H by pinfall.

Reverend Ronnie Roberts is out for the Good Word. Tony Bizo is the special guest. He says he was the winner last week, which brings out Dustin Jackson.
Dustin says he must have hit his head too hard, because the match was thrown out. He says Bizo is living in a fairy tale land. They exchange words and then start to brawl
!

"The Suplex Shogun"
 Jackson Stone vs. "The Indian Lion" Mahabali Shera.
Stone with a boot to the midsection. He hits Shera in the corner, but doesn't faze him. He hits him in the opposite corner and splashes him. He goes for a suplex, but cannot get Shera up. Shera fires back, but Stone goes around him and locks him up from behind. Shera back with clotheslines. Stone with some big blows and a t-bone suplex. This only seems to anger Shera. Stone runs into the Sky High for the 3.
WINNER: SHERA by pinfall.

NON-TITLE MATCH: 
Women's Champion "Hollyhood" Haley J (w/Luscious Lawrence) vs. "Queenpin" Katalina Perez.
Perez throws her down face first into the mat. She hits a swinging neckbreaker and a spinning back elbow, but Haley rolls out. Haley pulls Perez's head down across the top rope and super kicks her. They exchange chops. Perez with a kick to the face and forearm shots. Off the ropes, Perez trips her and kicks her in the head. Luscious gets on the apron. Haley grabs Perez and slings her into the turnbuckle. She takes her down and locks in a submission, wrapping her leg around the head and Perez passes out.
WINNER: HALEY J by submission.

#1 CONTENDER 
FOR THE NATIONAL HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE LADDER MATCH QUALIFIER: "The Complete Package" Tony Bizo vs. Dustin Jackson.
Jessie Godderz
comes out first and joins commentary. Dustin & Bizo brawl to start, pounding away at each other on the mat. Bizo with a Bizo Bottom for 2. The Box Office Blonds come out and Rex hits Bizo with a Big Ending. Dustin hits Bizo with a neckbreaker off his shoulders across his knee, but Drew Hernandez pulls Bizo out. Dustin argues with Drew and Bizo pushes him into the ringpost. Back inside, he covers for 2. Dustin back with a sunset flip for the 3!
WINNER: DUSTIN by pinfall.

This ended the TV taping.
