OVW TV 1149: Howe Much More Do We Have to Listen To?

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, August 19, 2021.

Tonight, Ryan Howe has a tribute concert planned for current National & Heavyweight Champions Jessie Godderz & Omar Amir! The women's division has Dani Mo facing Charlie Kruel, Dream Girl Ellie facing Skylar Orion, and Sierra facing the debuting Miranda Gordy! A Kentucky Title Tournament preview mixer sees Hy Zaya & Tony Bizo teaming up against Drew Hernandez & Reverend Ronnie Roberts, plus much more!

Donovan "Bam Bam" Cecil vs. William Lutz
.
Cecil shoves Lutz to the corner. Off the ropes, Lutz leaps at Cecil, but crashes. Cecil throws him to the corner, and Lutz tries a reverse cross body. Cecil catches him and hits a fall away slam. Cecil pounds on Lutz in the corner, then squeezes his head in a submission hold. Lutz with a chinbuster to get free. He charges at Cecil in the corner, but gets flipped to the apron. He headbutts Cecil to create some space, then gets to the top rope. He hits a flying body press and gets the 3.
WINNER: LUTZ by pinfall.

"The Nephilim"
 D'mone Solavino vs. 
"Big Whiskey" Jared Kripke.
Jared with a great start, taking D'mone down in the ropes and hitting a 619. He leaps off the top with a flying body press. He goes to charge D'mone in the corner and eats a back elbow. D'mone grabs the leg of Jared and works it over for the remainder of the match. He locks in the Figure Four and Jared has to tap.
WINNER: D'MONE by submission.

OVW TV (HOUR 1):
Bryan Kennison & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

"The Purple Haired Maniac"
Charlie Kruel vs. Dani Mo
.
Kruel gets mad when Dani offers her a protein bar instead of a pop tart. She kicks Dani into the corner, then delivers a neckbreaker drop. Dani comes back with a snapmare and kick to the back. She tries a pin for a quick kickout. Dani connects with a twist of fate and gets the 3.
WINNER: DANI by pinfall.

We see a video of Haley J in prison saying she's been in there for a week and her mom tells her to calm down. She has charges of assault and theft against her.

Gustavo is interviewed and interrupted by Blanco Loco & Star Rider. They say they should do this one more time. AJ Daniels interrupts and says if they are going to fight for the Rush Division Title, how about facing the very first Rush Champion? Gustavo accepts.

"The End of the World"
 Jake Omen
 vs. Amon.
Omen attacks Amon and knees him in the ropes. He locks Amon up in a submission, cranking the head and neck. He misses a charge and Amon bulldogs him. He tries to get him in the STH, but Omen flips him over. He lines him up and hits the shining wizard for the 3.
WINNER: OMEN by pinfall.
After the match, Omen says this is what happens when you step in the ring with Jake Omen. He says to let the body count begin.

Skylar Orion vs. Dream Girl Ellie.
Orion gets Ellie in the corner and back elbows her. Off the ropes, she misses a running boot. Ellie hits two suplexes, then Orion blocks and hits a suplex of her own. She clotheslines Ellie down and connects with a leg across the chest down to the mat for 2. Ellie comes back and chops Orion in the ropes. She plants her head first into the mat with a piledriver and gets the 3.
WINNER: ELLIE by pinfall.

We see another video of Haley J in prison. Tony Bizo is there and tells her to sit down. He says he is embarrassed, because she is now an ex-2 time Women's Champion and has to pay her bail.

RUSH TITLE MATCH: "Mr. Zero Gravity" AJ Daniels vs. Blanco Loco vs. Star Rider vs. Gustavo (c).
Quick action all throughout this contest. At one point, Loco, Star, & Gustavo all super kick AJ out of the ring. Gustavo is taken down, then Star and Loco knock each other out at the same time. AJ is back up and grabs Bryan Kennison's belt. He gets in with it, but Facade runs out with a huge strap and whips AJ with it and chases him to the back. Star & Loco are back up and fighting. D'mone Solavino runs out and tries to shove Gustavo off the top rope, but Gustavo lands on his feet and hits his finisher on Star for the 3!
WINNER and STILL RUSH CHAMPION: GUSTAVO by pinfall.
After the match, D'mone attacks Gustavo and tries to lock him up in the Figure Four. Gustavo fights back and connects with a tornado DDT.

"The Professional" Klayton Cannon vs. "The Neon Ninja" Facade.
Facade grabs a mic and says the powers that be granted him a strap match against AJ Daniels on August 28 at Reckoning! Klayton hits a roll through suplex and DDT on Facade. Facade back with some hard chops, then delivers some kicks. He hits a running forearm in the corner. He hits a TKO, then walks the top rope and hits the boot to the face for the 3.
WINNER: FACADE by pinfall.
 After the match, AJ attacks Facade from behind and whips him with the strap.

We see another video of Haley J in prison. Luscious Lawrence is there and tells her that she knows this never would have happened if she was still with him. He says to let him see what we can do to possibly bail her out.

"Hood Ninja"
 Hy Zaya (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft) & "The Complete Package" Tony Bizo
 vs.
 Reverend Ronnie Roberts & "The Mayan Mauler" Drew Hernandez.
Good team work by Drew & Ronnie early. Drew throws Ronnie into Bizo in the corner, then charges in on Bizo and splashes him. Off the ropes, Drew plants Bizo with a spinebuster. He slams Bizo and sets up for a big shoulder tackle, but Hy gets his attention and Drew knocks him off the apron. Drew back elbows Bizo and climbs up top, but Bizo knocks him to the floor, where Hy gets on him and pounds him. Back inside, Hy runs in with a double knee in the corner. He hits a hip toss slam. The ref misses a tag to Ronnie and as he goes to keep him out, Hy dropkicks Drew in the side of the head. Hy climbs up and hits a neckbreaker drop from the top. Bizo goes for the Bizo Bottom, but Drew elbows out and Ronnie gets the tag. He fires away on both Bizo & Hy. He goes for a meeting of the minds, but they kick him. Ronnie fires back again, and clotheslines Hy. He slams Bizo, but then goes for a tag and Drew decides to drop down and not tag back in. Ronnie turns into an inverted piledriver from Hy, then Hy hits the Ninja Vanish for the 3.
WINNERS: HY & BIZO by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 2):
Bryan Kennison & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

Damian Chambers vs. "Mr. Juicy" Luscious Lawrence.
Damian with the early offense. He takes Luscious down for a quick 2. He goes for a suplex, but it is blocked and reversed by Luscious. Luscious with a powerslam off the ropes, then the Luscious Legdrop. Damian comes back with a neckbreaker off his knee. He throws Luscious to the corner and ends up with the butt to the face. Luscious hits the One Night Stand for the 3.
WINNER: LUSCIOUS by pinfall.

Al Snow
is out and calls out the current OVW Tag Team Champions, the Tate Twins. He shows them the new OVW Tag Team Titles, and says he can't just hand them to the Tates. Last week's match was for the titles, and it ended in a no-contest. He is going to put them up high on August 28 and have the 5 teams battle it out. The Recusants come out and say they are a 6th team in the tag team division and deserve a shot as well. Al jokingly calls them the Refusants, the Rescuers, the Renuzits, and the Raccoons, but tells them they can get added to the match if they can beat the Tates right now...
"The Recusants""Iron Bear" Tom Coffey & Brandon Espinosa vs. "The Tate Twins": Brent & Brandon.
Brandon Tate takes most of the punishment as the Recusants double team him and use some cheap tactics. Brent gets a hot tag, but Brandon blind tags. He hits a flying body press on Tom for 2. Tom comes back with a pinfall where Espy helps for the 3.
WINNERS: RECUSANTS by pinfall.

Ca$h Flo has an "anti-bully" edition of the Chop Shop where he has 4 people chop him, then he chops them back. He takes them all down and calls them a bunch of dummies and losers. He runs into Mahabali Shera on the ramp and Shera chops him at ringside and into the ring. Ca$h takes off.

We see a video from Nick Dinsmore announcing that he is returning to OVW to face Jessie Godderz for the National Title in Lexington, KY on September 4.

"The Badstreet Beauty"
Miranda Gordy vs. Sierra.
Sierra tries to take Gordy down off the ropes, but Gordy takes her down instead. Gordy controls the action, locking Sierra in a submission stretching Sierra's arms behind her. Gordy runs into a boot and Sierra clotheslines her down. Sierra knocks her down in the corner and runs in with a double knee for 2. Gordy tries to come back, but Sierra catches her with a cutter on her back for the 3.
WINNER: SIERRA by pinfall.

Ryan Howe is out to pay tribute to the champions of OVW, Jessie Godderz & Omar Amir. He plays guitar and sings songs making fun of them. He then cracks them both with guitars and plays the electric guitar to end the show.

This ended the TV taping.
