OVW TV 1187: Ladies' Night

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, May 12, 2022.

TONIGHT:
-NEW OVW Tag Team Champions Bankroll face off against the Outrunners!

-It's Ladies' Night! Women's Champion Leila Grey is in action against Shawna Reed, Freya the Slaya goes 1-on-1 with Ella, and #1 contender Haley J faces Judi Hendrix!
-Plus, the demonic duo of Amon & D'mone Solavino face off with Luscious Lawrence & Crixus, Omar Amir goes 1-on-1 with Roger Matheus, and much more!

PRE-SHOW:

Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

"Rudo" Raul LaMotta vs. "Bomaye" Adrian Thomas.

Raul grabs the arm, but Thomas reverses and locks up Raul's arm. Raul chops him, but Thomas comes back with a dropkick and some chops of his own. Raul takes him down and locks in a submission. Thomas fires back and super kicks Raul in the face for 2. Thomas takes Raul down and goes up top. He goes for a frog splash, but Raul rolls away. Raul with a stomp to the back and he picks up the 3.

WINNER: RAUL by pinfall.

"Double A" Arie Alexander & Tiffany Nieves vs. Kaitland Alexis & Sylvia Faye.

Kate & Arie lock up to start. Kate takes Arie to her corner and tags Sylvia. Sylvia with a side headlock and takedown. Arie works up and tags in Tiffany. Tiffany hits Sylvia in the corner and works her over. Arie tags in and they double clothesline her. Tiffany comes back in and hits Sylvia into the corner turnbuckles. Both women tag out. Kate comes in firing away, but Arie kicks out at 1. She nails a German suplex and gets the 3.

WINNERS: ARIE & TIFFANY by pinfall.

BATTLE ROYAL: Tyler Lee Deputy, DNA, Jebediah Blackhawk, Snake Williams Jr., Matt Black, Grayson Douglas Jr., Joe Mack, "Rudo" Raul LaMotta, Damian Chambers, Big Zo, & "Bomaye" Adrian Thomas.

Raul & Damian dump out Grayson. Raul, Thomas, DNA, & Tyler are all eliminated back-to-back. Zo hurls Black out. Jeb pushes Snake off the apron. Jeb & Zo fight on the apron and Mack clotheslines them both off. It's down to Mack & Damian. Damian runs into a big boot from Mack. Mack throws him over, but Damian holds on. Damian shoulders him, flips in, and knees Mack in the face. He tosses Mack over, but Mack holds on. Damian runs into a forearm. Damian dropkicks Mack off the apron and gets the win.

WINNER: CHAMBERS.

OVW TV (HOUR 1):

Bryan Kennison, Dancin' Stevie J, & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

8-MAN RUSH DIVISION TAG MATCH: "The Star of the Show" Star Rider, "A1 Since Day 1" ZDP, "Certified" Luke Kurtis, & "The Midwest Ace" TW3 vs. Maximo Suave, Nate Bock, "Big Whiskey" Jared Kripke, & OVW Rush Division Champion "The Hood Ninja" Hy Zaya.

Luke attacks Bock, but Bock fires back with a dropkick and slingblade. TW3 tags in and runs into a hip toss. Suave tags in and double back elbows TW3 with Bock. Suave drops an elbow across the chest and tags Jared. Star tags in and hits Jared into the corner. Jared finds himself quadruple-teamed while the ref tries to keep Hy's team in their corner. Jared tries to fight back, but TW3 pokes him in the eye and knees him in the face. They collide head-to-head off the ropes. ZDP & Hy both get the tags. Things break loose with all 8 men ending up in the ring. When things start to clear out, it's back to ZDP & Hy. ZDP goes after Hy, but Hy ducks him and hits him with the inverted piledriver for the 3.

WINNERS: HY ZAYA, KRIPKE, SUAVE, & BOCK by pinfall.

In the back, we hear from Bankroll. They have big competition tonight. They won the titles, but winning the titles and keeping the titles are 2 different things. They have a couple of huge targets on their backs, because they are a couple of big guys.

"The Complete Package" Tony Bizo (w/"Hollyhood" Haley J & Dr. Ricky Jones) vs. Joey O'Riley.

Joey with some quick kicks, but Bizo clotheslines him and nails a spinebuster. He goes for a suplex, but Joey flips over and nails an enziguri. He charges at Bizo, but Bizo catches him with the Bizo Bottom. He finishes him off with a Bizo Bomb for the 3.

WINNER: BIZO by pinfall.

In the back, we hear from the Outrunners. They hope they've reinforced the ring, because they are ready to cash out those chumps Ca$h Flo & Dimes!

"The Queen of the North" Freya the Slaya vs. Ella.

Freya shoves Ella down. She runs into a boot, then Ella chokes her with her own arms. Freya pulls her down to the mat. Ella comes back with an enziguri. Freya kicks Ella's doll and Ella lets out a blood-curdling scream. Freya big boots her in the face and chokeslams her. She hits the running legdrop and gets the 3.

WINNER: FREYA by pinfall.

In the back, Al Snow tells Mahabali Shera that he cannot tell him who the special guest is for All Systems Go. He signed a special non-disclosure agreement, but tells him that it is someone who he knows from the past. Shera says it doesn't matter, if it's an old friend, they will know he is the king of this jungle. He will know how much the title means to him. Al says before he goes, the mystery person left him a pair of cowboy boots and said it was the first pair he bought for him when he came to this country.

NON-TITLE MATCH: OVW Kentucky Champion "Flawless" Jake Lawless vs. "Superior" Tony Evans.

They lock up and Jake hits and chops Tony. Tony comes back with some chops and slams Jake. Jake rolls to the apron. Tony tries to grab him, but Jake hits a neckbreaker drop across the top rope. Jake chokes him in the ropes. Jake with a knee to the side of the head. A snapmare and a kick to the back. Tony fires back. Off the ropes, Jake nails him with a spinning back elbow. Off the ropes again, Tony catches Jake with a quick twist powerslam. Jake trips Tony up and locks in a submission. Tony flips him down to the mat. He clotheslines him, then dropkicks his knee. He hits a German suplex. Tony gets him on the shoulders. Jake slides off and hits Crossroads for the 3.

WINNER: LAWLESS by pinfall.

"The Viking" Roger Matheus vs. Omar Amir.

Side headlock by Omar. Omar tries to plow him down, but Roger stays up. Off the ropes, Omar with a flying shoulder tackle. He hits a t-bone suplex and splashes him in the corner. Roger kicks him, then hits him in the corner. Omar dives over a charging Roger, splashes him, clotheslines him, and hits Island Time for the 3.

WINNER: OMAR by pinfall.

"The Outrunners": Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum vs. OVW Tag Team Champions "Bankroll": "Big Money" Dimes & Ca$h Flo.

Truth blind tags Turbo and tries to jump on Ca$h from behind. Ca$h slings him off and slams him. Dimes comes in and slams Turbo. Bankroll has the Outrunners off their game early. Dimes & Truth exchange trying to chokeslam and powerbomb each other. Dimes reverses a powerbomb attempt into a hurricanrana. The Outrunners try to regroup outside, but Bankroll follows them out and takes the fight to them at ringside. As Dimes goes to get in, Turbo grabs his leg and Truth knocks him off the apron and he goes crashing to the floor. The Outrunners are now on the offense. They double team and keep Dimes in their corner, laying in some chops and instigating Ca$h. They choke Dimes in the ropes. Truth misses a knee drop. Turbo tags in and snapmares Dimes, but misses an axehandle drop. Turbo with a drop toehold, but Truth tags in and misses another knee drop. Dimes crawls through Turbo's legs and makes the tag to Ca$h. Ca$h fires away, slams Truth, hits an inverted atomic drop to Turbo, then opens up the Chop Shop on Truth & Turbo. Turbo begs off another chop. Truth goes to hit him from behind, but Dimes nails a Change Maker. Turbo hits Ca$h from behind, but gets another massive chop.

Ca$h goes up top, but Dark Kloudz runs out and shoves him down and attacks him and Dimes.

WINNERS: BANKROLL by DQ.

 

OVW TV (HOUR 2):

Bryan Kennison, Dancin' Stevie J, & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

In the back, Ryan Howe says it's time for Howe Nation to celebrate now that Omar Amir is out of the way. Al Snow comes up behind him and hears him talk about how it was an act that Arie Alexander got assaulted and run over and tells Howe that he will defend the OVW Heavyweight Title against Omar at All Systems Go, and he will have a match tonight against an opponent of his choosing!

"Goodfella" Matt Vine vs. Mickey Maestro.

Vine controls most of the match, taking Maestro down with a flurry of offense. Maestro barely gets in any offense, then catches a super kick to the chin for the 3.

WINNER: VINE by pinfall.

In the back, Haley J invites Leila Grey to watch her match on commentary. Grey says okay, and says then Haley can watch her match and see how it's really done.

"Hollyhood" Haley J (w/Dr. Ricky Jones) vs. "Savage, Not Average" Judi Hendrix.

Judi & Haley lock up into the corner. Haley slings her down by her pigtails. Haley hits a running knee off the ropes. Haley misses a charge in the corner and Judi fires at her. Haley ducks a clothesline and takes her down with her finisher for the 3.

WINNER: HALEY J by pinfall.

In the back, Ryan Howe tries to buddy up to the referees and find out who he's facing tonight. They make up a story about who it is and tell him good luck. Howe tells Arie Alexander they have more work to do to find out who it is.

It's time for the Good Word with Reverend Ronnie Roberts! He's feeling feisty, because he's healing and getting close to returning to the ring.

His special guests are Level X & Dream Girl Ellie. Two months ago, Blanco Loco says he was spike piledriven into the mat and everything he has worked hard for was taken away. Axton Ray says they are recovered and they want a fight with Dysfunction! Ellie says she wants to go out to the parking lot and bash their heads in with her barbed wire baseball bat, but that's not legal. Ronnie has an idea. He says they need to fight at All Systems Go, and he thinks his partner, Garrisaon Creed, would agree. Creed is on video from his home. He agrees so that Loco, Axton, & Ellie can all get their revenge, but their is "technical difficulties" in the feed, then Dysfunction shows up and attacks Creed! They say to be careful what you wish for! 

In the back, Matt Vine makes a challenge to the biggest con man in this company, Jake Lawless, for the Kentucky Heavyweight Title!

"The Daughter of 1,000 Maniacs" Shawna Reed vs. OVW Women's Champion "The Unstoppable Danger" Leila Grey.

Leila with a hot start and submission. Reed catches her with a boot and double knees her in the corner. She hits a snap suplex. Leila boots Reed as she charges and rolls her up for 2. Leila with clotheslines and a running high knee in the corner. She bulldogs her out and hits the facebuster off her knee for the 3.

WINNER: LEILA by pinfall.

After the match, Haley J gets in the ring and gets in Leila's face. Officials quickly get in and keep them separated.

"The Nephilim" D'mone Solavino & "Satan's Favorite Sinner" Amon vs. Crixus & "Mr. Juicy" Luscious Lawrence.

Amon & D'mone attack. They go to throw Luscious & Crixus into each other, but they spin around and hit D'mone & Amon. They each slam Amon & D'mone. Off the ropes, Luscious catches D'mone with the butt butt and a powerslam. Amon breaks the count. Luscious gets double teamed momentarily before breaking away to tag Crixus. Crixus charges in and takes D'mone down with a Glasgow Kiss, but Amon breaks the pin again. He brings the chain in and goes for the STH on it. Luscious jumps off the top rope with the double axehandle. All 4 men are in the ring and the ref has lost control.

DOUBLE DQ.

After the match, Crixus says they have been doing things Amon's way, but he challenges him for All Systems Go and wants to do things his way. He will show Amon what hell really is.

OVW Heavyweight Champion "Rockstar" Ryan Howe (w/"Guit-Arie" Alexander) vs. Dustin Jackson.

Dustin with an armbar. Howe chops him. Dustin chops back and delivers a back body drop. Some more chops and Dustin goes up top. Howe rolls away. Arie distracts Dustin, but he turns around as Howe tries to get him from behind. He tosses Howe out of the ring, then goes to flip on him from the apron, but Howe moves. Back inside, Howe takes him down for 2. Dustin comes back and hits a Death Valley Driver, but the count stops at 2 after Arie puts Howe's foot on the ropes. Dustin hits the running boot and goes up top. Arie is back on the apron and distracts the ref as Dustin hits the Derby City Dive. There's no ref to count. Arie goes to smack Dustin, but he catches her arm. Howe rolls him up from behind and has his feet on the ropes being held by Arie for the 3.

WINNER: HOWE by pinfall.

This ended the TV taping.
