OVW TV 1191: Howe Gets Rocked, Kloudz Get Rolled!

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, June 9, 2022.

TONIGHT:
-NEW OVW Heavyweight Champion Omar Amir meets Ryan Howe in a rematch from All Systems Go!
-Women's Champion Leila Grey goes 1-on-1 with Judi Hendrix!

-In tag team action, NEW OVW Tag Team Champions the Outrunners face off with the Legacy of Brutality, while rivals Dark Kloudz & Bankroll collide with #1 contendership on the line!

-Plus, Amon squares off with Reverend Ronnie Roberts, and much more!

PRE-SHOW:

AJ McKay is the ring announcer.

"A1 Since Day 1" ZDP vs. Joe Mack.

ZDP shoves Mack in the face, then turns into a big clothesline. Mack with a back body drop. He hits ZDP in the corner and gets ZDP up on his shoulders. ZDP slides off and goes off the ropes, but runs right into the big boot for the 3.

WINNER: MACK by pinfall.

"Guit-Arie" Alexander vs. "The Spark" Jada Stone.

Jada with a side headlock. Arie reverses, but Jada reverses back. Jada with a dropkick. She stomps Arie in the corner, then pulls her out and covers for 1. Arie with a throat thrust. Jada goes for a kick. Arie catches her foot and ducks an enziguri attempt. Arie hits her into the top turnbuckle, then snapmares her and kicks her in the face. She hits a running clothesline for 2. Arie clubs her across the back, then chokes her in the ropes. Jada with a back elbow. Arie hits her and goes for a powerbomb. Jada reverses into a stunner, followed by a codebreaker and a super kick. She misses a standing moonsault, then Arie puts her away and gets the 3.

WINNER: ARIE by pinfall.

"Southern Discomfort": Snake Williams Jr. & Jebediah Blackhawk vs. "The Scottish Warrior" Crixus & "Mr. Juicy" Luscious Lawrence.

Crixus & Snake lock up. Snake with a wristlock. Crixus reverses and tags Luscious. Luscious kicks the arm and takes over the wristlock. He scoops Snake up for a slam and tags Crixus. Crixus with a hard right to the chest and a tag back to Luscious. Off the ropes, they hit Snake with a double back elbow. Snake tags out to Jeb. Jeb with a side headlock to Luscious. Off the ropes, Jeb shoulders him down. Off the ropes again, Luscious with a butt bump and slam to Jeb. He tags Crixus and they hit Jeb with a double shoulder tackle. As the ref tries to get Luscious back to the apron, Snake & Jeb double team Crixus in their corner. Jeb chokes Crixus with his boot. Snake gets in and they go for a double team, but Crixus hits them with a double clothesline instead. Luscious tags in and holds Snake up. Crixus leaps off the top with a kick and Luscious covers for the 3.

WINNERS: LUSCIOUS & CRIXUS by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 1):

Bryan Kennison, Dancin' Stevie J, & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, AJ McKay is the ring announcer.

"The Mayan Mauler" Drew Hernandez vs. Dustin Jackson.

Drew takes Dustin down to the mat. They lock up and off the ropes, collide into each other. Off the ropes again, Dustin hits a nice dropkick and a big chop on Drew in the corner. Drew throws him hard into the opposite corner and covers for 2. Drew with a hard chop, then another. He shoulders Dustin in the corner, then charges in with a hard forearm to the face. Dustin fires back with some chops and locks in a sleeper. Drew gets free, but Dustin throws Drew hard into the corner. Dustin gets taken down with a back body drop from Drew. Drew pounds Dustin on the mat. Dustin rolls him up for 2. Dustin then locks in the crossface and Drew is able to get a foot on the ropes. Dustin with a big chop. Drew kicks him, then throws him hard into the corner. Drew with 2 German Suplexes. On the 3rd attempt, Dustin elbows out and hits a stunner for the 3.

WINNER: DUSTIN by pinfall.

In the back, Ryan Howe says he is feeling good tonight and needs Arie Alexander to help with back-up vocals. She can't carry a tune, but Howe hears another lady in the back singing like an angel and goes to find her.

"The Daughter of 1,000 Maniacs" Shawna Reed vs. Shalonce Royal.

Reed with an uppercut and arm drag takedown. She misses a charge in the corner, but then ducks a charge from Royal. She hits Royal with a side slam for 2. Royal fakes an injury and forearms Reed in the face. She hits Reed with a bicycle kick for 2. Side headlock, but Reed fights up and hits a slingblade, then a twisting suplex for 2. Reed climbs up in the corner, but Royal hits the ropes. She runs into a boot from Reed. Royal back with a hit to the face. She gets Reed on her shoulders and slams her down for the 3.

WINNER: SHALONCE by pinfall.

In the back, Omar Amir says he is happy to oblige Ryan Howe and give him his rematch for the OVW Heavyweight Title. He says tonight he stops the rock once and for all.

In the back, Haley J says she will see Leila Grey June 25 in a hair vs. hair match. Her mother, Maria James, walks up. Haley tells her to stay out of her business and out of her life.

Mahabali Shera is out to discuss the challenge made to him by his good friend, James Storm. He says he is the lion of this jungle and will walk with the National Title around his waist, without any doubt, and he will be lion after his match with Storm. Storm appears on screen and says he never asked Shera for anything in return, but plans on coming June 30 for the title and becoming the National Heavyweight Champion. IF Shera beats him, and that's a big IF, he will get up and shake his hand, and the first round is on him.

"The Demon Magnate" Amon (w/"The Nephilim" D'mone Solavino) vs. Reverend Ronnie Roberts.

D'mone distracts Ronnie and Amon attacks. Ronnie fires back and knocks D'mone off the apron. He hits Amon into the top turnbuckle, then Amon laughs and keeps hitting his own head into it. Ronnie pokes him in the eyes. He hits Amon with the Mighty Hand of God, but D'mone breaks the pin.

WINNER: RONNIE by DQ.

After the match, Amon & D'mone double team Ronnie and lay the chains around him. Luscious Lawrence & Crixus run out and go after Amon & D'mone. Ronnie apparently got caught under Amon's spell, and attacks Luscious & Crixus with the chain. Ronnie hits Crixus with the Mighty Hand of God, then D'mone hits him with a codebreaker. Amon hits Luscious with the STH.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: "Rockstar" Ryan Howe (w/"Guit-Arie" Alexander) vs. Omar Amir (c).

Omar with a t-bone suplex, then 2 slams. Howe kicks Omar in the head from the apron. Omar ends up chasing Howe around the ring. Arie grabs his foot and it allows Howe to roll him up from behind for 2. Howe with a running kick for 2. Off the ropes, Howe hits the sliding uppercut for 2. Howe stretches Omar and knees him in the back. Howe with some knees to his chest as Omar tries to get up. Howe goes for a suplex, but it's blocked and reversed. Howe faceplants Omar into the middle turnbuckle and covers with his feet on the ropes for 2. Howe kicks Omar in the midsection. Omar fires back on Howe in the corner and then runs into a cheap shot. Howe covers for 2. Howe goes up to the middle rope and leaps off into a dropkick. Howe gets back up first and grabs Omar by the ear. He snapmares him and locks in a sleeper. Omar works up and they double clothesline each other. They get up and exchange blows and Omar hits a dropkick and overhead release suplex. He hits 2 more and splashes Howe in the corner. He splashes Howe in the opposite corner and hits a running clothesline. Omar runs into a back elbow. Howe goes for a reverse cross body, but Omar ducks. Omar hits a Rock Bottom for 2. Omar goes up as the ref checks on Howe. Arie gets on the apron and hits the ropes to make Omar fall across the top. Howe runs in with an uppercut and hits Omar up top. Howe with a hurricanrana off the top and running knee for 2! Howe goes for the neckbreaker drop. Omar tries to reverse to Island Time. Howe rolls through and holds the tights for 2. Arie distracts the ref and Howe hits Omar with the title for 2! Howe goes for the neckbreaker drop, but Omar rolls through and rolls Howe up for the 3!

WINNER and STILL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: OMAR by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 2):

Bryan Kennison, Dancin' Stevie J, & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, AJ McKay is the ring announcer.

"Certified" Luke Kurtis vs. Manny Domingo.

A fast-paced opening. Luke pulls Manny out of the corner and kicks him, then follows up with a brainbuster. Luke chokes him on the mat. Manny comes back with some hard chops. Luke kicks him and chops him in the corner. Manny reverses a throw to the corner. Luke flips over on the apron. Manny knocks him off, then dives out on him. He rolls Luke in and goes for the 450 splash off the top. Luke gets the knees up, then pulls down his kneepad and hits the running knee. He locks in the STF and Manny taps.

WINNER: KURTIS by submission.

In the back, Dark Kloudz state that they should not even have to go through a #1 contenders match tonight, and that Bankroll will be bankrupt. They say they are going to order Uber Eats and get Taco Bell to distract Ca$h Flo.

"The Legacy of Brutality": Steve Michaels & Big Zo (w/"The East End Villain" Josh Ashcraft) vs. OVW Tag Team Champions "The Outrunners": Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd.

Turbo goes for a quick roll-up on Zo for 2. He dropkicks Zo to the corner and Steve tags in. Steve gets sleepers from Turbo & Truth. Zo & Steve are not on the same page. They are arguing over moves and tags. The Outrunners hit Zo with a double dropkick. Zo misses the Are You Serious legdrop on Turbo. Steve double clotheslines them, then argues with Josh on the apron. Steve & Zo go to squash Truth, but he moves and they collide with one another. Truth & Turbo roll up Zo & Steve and get simultaneous 3's.

WINNERS: OUTRUNNERS by pinfall.

In the back, Ryan Howe is distraught and playing the harmonica. He says he doesn't know what to do, he's not even sure music does it for him anymore. Arie Alexander suggests going for the Kentucky Heavyweight Title. Howe says she's got it all wrong, then suggests himself going for the Kentucky Heavyweight Title so he will once again be #1 contender for the OVW Heavyweight Title.

In the back, Big Zo & Steve Michaels are arguing and Josh Ashcraft steps in to say they cannot get on the same page and asks what's up. All 3 continue arguing.

Al Snow comes out and says that unfortunately, the Kentucky Heavyweight Title had to be vacated. Joe Mack comes out and says he became #1 contender last week in a speed rumble and coincidentally, Jake Lawless disappeared after he became #1 contender. He says Al can find him a worthy opponent or hand him the title right now. Dustin Jackson comes out and says winning a rumble is not enough, and he deserves to become Kentucky Champion.

Ryan Howe comes out and says he deserves to get a shot. Jessie Godderz is out and says as first ever National Champion, he deserves to get his hands on the title.

Tony Gunn is out next. He asks why Jessie came out for this, when they were talking about getting the tag team titles back. Al says he is going to take some Advil, but then on June 25, he will hang the title high above the ring and all of them will get a chance to climb the ladder and become the new champion!

In the back, Bankroll says Dark Kloudz will be looking up at the lights and they will become #1 contenders!

"Savage, Not Average" Judi Hendrix vs. OVW Women's Champion "The Unstoppable Danger" Leila Grey.

Before the match can even get started, Haley J attacks Leila and they brawl. Judi and the officials try to get them separated, but have trouble keeping them apart.

NO CONTEST.

#1 TAG TEAM TITLE CONTENDERS MATCH: "Dark Kloudz": "Elusive" Eric Darkstorm & "Hustla" Deget Bundlez vs. "Bankroll": Ca$h Flo & "Big Money" Dimes.

The Outrunners are out first as special guest commentators. Ca$h with some big hits to Eric and hits a dropkick! Dimes tags in and kicks Eric. He snapmares him and Ca$h drops Dimes on Eric with a legdrop. Ca$h tags back in and kicks Eric in the ribcage. He slams him for 2. Another slam and another 2. He tags Dimes and Deget runs in. Ca$h catches Deget and slams him, then picks up Dimes and tosses him onto both Deget & Eric. Ca$h tags back and flips Eric back into the ring from the apron. Ca$h gets on the second rope. Deget distracts him. Ca$h leaps off into an inverted atomic drop from Eric. He covers for 2. Dimes tags in and Eric shoves him into a forearm from Deget. Dimes gets double teamed and choked as the ref tries to keep Ca$h in his corner. Dimes with a quick rollup for 2, but then gets clotheslined. Dimes is able to get a hot tag to Ca$h. Dark Kloudz hit a double team for 2 as Dimes breaks the pin. Eric gets Ca$h on his shoulders, but Ca$h slides off and tags Dimes. Eric hits Dimes with a TKO and Deget flies off the top with an elbow drop for 2 as Ca$h breaks the pin. Dimes hits Eric with a Change Maker and Ca$h hits the Payload on Eric for 2 as Deget breaks the pin. Deget drags Eric to their corner and tags in. Dimes gets a roll-up on Deget and picks up the 3!
