OVW TV 1198: Who Found the Key to Success?

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, July 28, 2022.

-Tony Gunn, Jessie Godderz, Eric Darkstorm, Ryan Von Rockit, Matt Vine, & Deget Bundlez will do battle in a "Key to Opportunity" match where the winner receives a shot at the OVW National Heavyweight Title!
-In Women's action, Shalonce Royal goes up against OVW Women's Champion Leila Grey, while Dream Girl Ellie faces Michelle Green in a rubber match after each of them has gotten one win against the other!
-Two big title matches as Luke Kurtis defends the Rush Division Title against Jared Kripke, and the Kentucky Heavyweight Title is on the line!
-Plus, Omar Amir battles Lustful LawrenceCrixus goes 1-on-1 with Big Zo, Tony Bizo faces TW3, Blanco Loco meets 1/2 of the OVW Tag Team Champions Ca$h Flo, and much more!

Eric Cornish & Linda Kay are the ring announcers.

"The Puerto Rican Sensation" Maximo Suave vs. Nikeem the Dream
Nikeem with some quick offense early including a headscissor takedown. Some quick back and forth takedowns. Nikeem takes Suave down with a slingblade for 2, but Suave comes back and hits Nikeem with a compact driver to get the 3.
WINNER: MAXIMO by pinfall.

"The Fallen"
: "The Nephilim" D'mone Solavino & "The Dark Reverend" Ronnie Roberts (w/"The Demon Magnate" Amon) vs. Callen Vance & Donovan "Bam Bam" Cecil
The Fallen surrounds their opponents and take the early control. Vance gets choked in the corner and bitten. Ronnie chokes him with his robe. D'mone misses a charge in the corner and Cecil gets the hot tag. He clotheslines both Ronnie & D'mone, but Ronnie has a belt. As the ref tries to get it away, Amon slithers in and hits Cecil with the STH. D'mone covers for the 3. 

 Alexander (w/Ryan Von Rockit) vs. "Savage, Not Average" Judi Hendrix
Arie with a takedown, but Judi comes back with an arm drag and a clothesline off the ropes. Arie pulls her down into the turnbuckle, then delivers a snapmare and kick to the face. She locks in a sleeper, but Judi works up. Arie pulls her down by the hair. Arie stomps her in the midsection. Judi fires back and hits a Samoan drop. Ryan gets on the apron squealing his guitar and distracting Judi. Arie grabs a can of hairspray and sprays Judi in the face while the ref is trying to get Ryan off the apron. Arie rolls Judi up and gets the 3.
WINNER: GUIT-ARIE by pinfall.

Bryan Kennison, Dancin' Stevie J, & Shannon the Dude are on commentary, Eric Cornish & Linda Kay are the ring announcers.

Big Zo
vs. Crixus.
They lock up and Zo hits some clubbing blows across the back. Crixus fires back, but runs into a clothesline. Zo hits him in the corner and clotheslines him. Crixus fires back again, but runs into a roundhouse kick. Zo slams him and hits the Are You Serious legdrop for 2. Zo throws him to the corner and hits the cartwheel butt bump and back elbows. Zo throws Crixus into the other corner so hard it turns him upside down. Crixus fires back and hits a Claymore for the 3.
WINNER: CRIXUS by pinfall.
After the match, Crixus grabs a mic and says Amon issued a challenge for Lawrence back. He's tried and tried to bring him back, but it seems like he's gone. He's either going to beat the hell out of him, or send him there himself.

In the back, Omar Amir says Luscious Lawrence was always a bit of a freak, but now it's like he's not there. He said tonight he will send him and the Fallen back to Hot Topic.

It's announced that Dustin Jackson suffered an injury and had to relinquish the Kentucky Heavyweight Title. Joe Mack was #1 contender and another #1 contender was named this past Sunday night at the OVW Combine in Kal Herro. Tonight, they will face off with the winner becoming the NEW Kentucky Heavyweight Champion!

Michelle Green vs. Dream Girl Ellie.
Several quick pin attempts. They fight into the corner. Ellie hits Green with a seated clothesline for 2. Green slides off Ellie's back and takes her down. Green blocks a kick and clotheslines Ellie down for 2. Green charges in with a splash to Ellie in the corner. She misses a second and Ellie hits her. Ellie charges in and Green moves. Green rolls her up and puts her feet on the ropes to get the 3! 
WINNER: GREEN by pinfall.

James Storm tells Mahabali Shera to stop lying about being injured and says he's not a lion, not a cub, he's a pussy cat. Sorry about your da*n luck!

In the back, Kal Herro tells Joe Mack that Dustin Jackson couldn't be here, but he takes Dustin's place as Kentucky Heavyweight Champion tonight.

"The 80's Baybee"
 TW3 vs. "The Complete Package" Tony Bizo (w/Dr. Ricky Jones).
TW3 with a side headlock takedown. Bizo gets up, but TW3 blocks a right and clocks Bizo back. Jones gets on the apron to cause a distraction. Bizo clotheslines TW3 and hits him and shoulders him in the corner. TW3 back with a kick and some rights, but Bizo knees him in the gut and Jones hits TW3 from the outside as Bizo distracts the ref. TW3 takes Bizo down and pounds him on the mat, then kicks him and hits him in the corner. Bizo shoves him out and kicks him in the head in the ropes. Bizo gets him up for the Bizo Bomb, but TW3 slides out and rolls him up for the 3.
WINNER: TW3 by pinfall.
After the match, Bizo claps for TW3 and offers a handshake. TW3 shakes, but then gets attacked from behind as he goes to leave the ring.

In the back, Mahabali Shera tells James Storm that he is standing here in OVW every single week. The people have invested in him and he is the lion of this jungle. Where is Storm? He is here every single week and not afraid of anybody. When the time comes, he will regain his OVW National Title!

"The Canadian Muscle" Joe Mack vs. "The Fanny Pack Kid" Kal Herro.
Kal goes to town with chops and rights on Joe in the corner. Joe reverses a throw across the ring, but Kal moves as Joe charges in. Kal fires away some more and Joe catches him with a hard clothesline as Kal goes off the ropes. Joe stomps him and chokes him in the ropes. He stomps him some more and locks in a camel clutch. Joe drops his weight across Kal's back as he tries to work his way out. Joe throws Kal hard to the corner and Kal flips all the way out to the outside and crashes on the floor. Kal gets on the apron at 7 and Joe suplexes him in for 2. Joe kicks him and goes for a powerbomb, but Kal flips over for a sunset flip. He can't get Joe down. Joe goes to punch him, but Kal moves. He superkicks Joe in the gut and gets distracted by Shannon the Dude. Joe recovers and delivers the big boot square to Kal's face and gets the 1-2-3!
After the match, 
Dark Kloudz come out and attack Kal as he's already down. They hit their finisher on him.

OVW Heavyweight Champion Jack Vaughn joins commentary.
Lustful Lawrence
 (w/"The Demon Magnate" Amon) vs. Omar Amir.
Omar tries to get Lawrence to remember his "luscious" ways, but Amon possesses him to go after Omar. Omar fires away on him, but Lustful chokes him into the corner. Omar catches him with a back body drop. Lustful raises up from the mat and goes back on the attack. He clubs him and locks him in a submission, cranking the neck of Omar. Omar works up and rams Lustful into the corner. He splashes him and clotheslines him. Omar hits him with Island Time, but Amon gets in and breaks up the pin.
After the bell, Omar hits Amon with Island Time, then the rest of the Fallen comes out. He hits them all with belly-to-belly suplexes. At the same time, they all rise up from the mat.
They surround Omar, but
Crixus runs out with a kendo stick and goes to town on anyone in his path. He chases them to the back.
Jack Vaughn
gets up from commentary and tries to attack Omar from behind, but Omar ducks and clothesline shim out of the ring. The Fallen come back out and Amon chokes Jack with a chain as the other members attack Omar in the ring. Amon gets in and attacks Omar with the chain allowing Jack to leave the ringside area. Crixus comes back out firing with the kendo stick to run the Fallen off with Omar.

Shalonce Royal vs. OVW Women's Champion 
"The Unstoppable Danger" Leila Grey.
Royal kicks her in the corner. Grey takes her down with a Russian leg sweep and hits a seated dropkick. Royal pulls her into the ropes and chokes her. She takes Grey down for 2. Royal with the control until Grey fires up and hits her with a running high knee in the corner. She hits an x-factor, then kicks her and hits the facebuster off her leg for the 3.
WINNER: LEILA by pinfall.

"The Sultan of the Sky"
Blanco Loco 
vs. Ca$h Flo
Loco tries to kick at Ca$h, but gets plowed down. Off the ropes, Ca$h hits Loco with a headscissor takedown! Loco moves from a charge, but then runs into a back elbow. Loco goes after the left knee and focuses his attack there. Loco runs into a chop. He goes back after Ca$h's knee and hits a single leg takedown. Loco tries to chop Ca$h, and Ca$h gets angry. He clotheslines him, then hits him with a pop-up Samoan drop. Ca$h grabs Loco and tries to suplex him off the top. Loco slides through and kicks him, then German suplexes him out of the corner and to the mat for 2. Ca$h catches Loco with a cutter as Loco leaps off the ropes to get the 3.
WINNER: CA$H by pinfall.

In the back, referee Aaron Grider tells the other officials how excited he is to ref his first title match at the next Saturday Night Special and it's the Women's match between Leila Grey and Freya the Slaya. Freya can be seen overhearing the conversation in the background.

Al Snow
is out to discuss the actions of Haley J last week on OVW TV. She assaulted OVW officials and her own mother. He can't have this chaos, behavior, and unprofessionalism, because the fans deserve better. As a result, he is forced to fine and indefinitely suspend her, as well as press charges and take her to jail. Maria James comes out and pleads for him to not suspend her. She will step back in the ring with her if she has to. Haley comes out and asks if she heard right. Al gets onto her and Haley says he's not her daddy. Al says he's not, but if he were, he would beat her. She smacks him in the face. Maria says she will wrestle her. Al says fine...Maria will fight her in an anything goes match and she better put Haley in her place, because if she doesn't, he will! 

RUSH DIVISION TITLE MATCH: "Big Whiskey" Jared Kripke vs. "Certified" Luke Kurtis 
Jared goes right after Luke. He delivers a back body drop and Lou Thesz press. They run into each other head first off the ropes. Luke falls outside and starts talking to Jared's girl and Jared goes after him. Luke throws him off into the steel steps. He goes back to talking to Jared's girl and she throws her drink in his face. Jared goes flying out of the ring into Luke at ringside. As he checks on his girl, Luke throws him into the steel ringpost and rolls him inside. He takes a belt off the photographer and whips Jared with it.

We see video of Freya the Slaya talking referee Aaron Grider into taking her out on a date!

"Hustla" Deget Bundlez vs. "Goodfella" Matt Vine vs. Ryan Von Rockit vs. "Shotgun" Tony Gunn vs. "Elusive" Eric Darkstorm vs. "Mr. PEC-Tacular" Jessie Godderz.
All 6 men go at it and try to climb the pole for the key. Eric & Deget work together to start, but then pull each other down to keep one another from getting the key. Vine with a lot of superkicks. In the end, it's Gunn who climbs the pole and makes it to the key to pick up the win!
