OVW TV 1209: Ca$h is King!

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, October 13, 2022.

TONIGHT:
-James Storm defends the OVW National and Heavyweight Titles against Ca$h Flo!
-Jack Vaughn defends the Kentucky Heavyweight Title against Kal Herro!
-In Women's action, Shalonce Royal goes 1-on-1 with Tiffany Nieves, and Haley J is in action against Jada Stone!
-The Royal Family is in action as Tony Bizo & Deget Bundlez team up to face the return of a new look Dysfunction!
-Plus, Dimes goes up against the Rush Division #1 contender Manny Domingo, and much more!

PRE-SHOW:
Linda Kay & AJ McKay are the ring announcers.

OVW Tag Team Champions 
"The Fallen""The Nephilim" D'mone Solavino & "The Dark Reverend" Ronnie Roberts (w/"The Daughter of 1,000 Maniacs" Shawna Reed) vs. 
"Southern Discomfort"Snake Williams Jr. & Jebediah Blackhawk.
The Fallen attacks their opponents from behind and Reverend tosses Snake out of the ring. D'mone leaps at Jeb and gets caught in a bearhug. Snake comes in and gets poked in the eye by D'mone and Reverend bites him. Snake gets trapped in the corner and gets double-teamed bitten and choked. Snake delivers a backdrop to Reverend and makes the tag to Jeb. Jeb comes in firing away and then all 4 men are in. Snake & Jeb plow D'mone out of the ring, then deliver a double spinebuster to Reverend. Shawna gets on the apron to cause a distraction. ZDP runs out and clocks Jeb with one of the tag titles and the ref calls for the bell.
WINNERS: DISCOMFORT by DQ.

Sylvia Faye vs. 
"The Daughter of 1,000 Maniacs" Shawna Reed (w/ZDP)
.
Shawna controls early. She takes Faye into the corner and ZDP bites her from the outside. She hits a snap suplex. Faye drops her, but ZDP causes a distraction on the apron. Shawna takes her down with a Death Valley Driver, followed by an Electric Chair Drop for the 3.
WINNER: SHAWNA by pinfall.

"Superior"
 Tony Evans vs. "The Mercenary" Garrisaon Creed
.
Evans fires away on Creed. He elbows him in the corner and clubs him across the back. Creed with some shots back, but Evans hits a backbreaker/neckbreaker combo. He chokes Creed with his wrist tape. He kicks Creed in the corner. Creed tries to fire back once more, and he takes Evans down. He hits a rolling suplex, followed by a double foot stomp. He charges Evans with a knee, but misses. Evans with a hard backhand, then catches Creed with a snap powerslam to pick up the 3.
WINNER: EVANS by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 1):
Josh Ashcraft, Dancin' Stevie J, & Bryan Kennison are on commentary, Linda Kay is the ring announcer.

OVW Rush Division Champion
 "Certified" Luke Kurtis vs. "The 80's Baybee" TW3.
Luke goes to kick TW3 and misses. TW3 tries a quick roll-up. Luke charges with a high knee and misses, and TW3 hits him with a kick combo, then dropkicks him out of the ring. He goes for a baseball slide, but Luke rolls in. Luke takes control, hitting TW3 with a huge chop. He throws TW3 hard into the opposite corner. Luke with a hard right, then sends TW3 back across the ring. He runs into a back elbow, but TW3 misses a roundhouse kick. Luke powerbombs him for 2, then immediately spins him into the COA. TW3 has to tap.
WINNER: KURTIS by submission.

In the back, Jack Vaughn says he doesn't like "kids" and "kids" should not be in professional wrestling. He is referring to the Fanny Pack Kid, Kal Herro, and says tonight he will exploit his veteran status.

In the back, AJ McKay reminds everyone that "No Rest for the Wicked" is coming to Davis Arena on Saturday, October 29. Referee Jake Cloyd interrupts and says he is petitioning for Freya the Slaya to be fired. He wants AJ to join in, and AJ says after Freya chokeslammed Jake twice and assaulted referee Aaron Grider numerous times, he'll pass.

Anthony F.N. Catena 
vs. 
Omar Amir.
Omar takes the fight to Catena. He hits a back body drop and clotheslines Catena. Catena gets on a roll, hitting Omar with a spinning back elbow and hanging him up over the top rope. He goes up and hits a cross body for 2. Catena goes up again, but Omar clubs him and goes for a powerbomb. Catena slides out and goes off the ropes, but Omar catches him with a belly to back suplex. Omar then delivers the KO punch and gets the 1-2-3.
WINNER: OMAR by pinfall.

In the back, Kal Herro says he is ready for his match and tells Jack Vaughn he should be down with the F.P.P.

"The Royal Family"
"Hustla" Deget Bundlez & "The Complete Package" Tony Bizo vs. 
"Dysfunction"Brandon Espinosa & Kyle Roberts.
Deget takes the fight to Espy, hitting him in the corner. He runs into an elbow, but grabs the ref. Bizo hits Espy from the apron. Espy comes back with a running seated clothesline in the corner, then dives off the top rope with a flying clothesline. He runs Deget into a boot from Kyle in the corner. Bizo tags in and Dysfunction takes him down with a double knee strike. Deget gets in and shoulder blocks Kyle into Espy's cover on Bizo. Deget pulls the top rope down as Kyle charges him, and Kyle falls out to the floor. Espy dumps Deget out, but Bizo rolls him up from behind with his feet on the ropes to get the 3.
WINNERS: ROYAL FAMILY by pinfall.

In the back, Luscious Lawrence & Tiffany Nieves are talking and Luscious says he is so done with Amon and his crew. A mysterious red fog appears with the Fallen in it. Anthony Catena walks in and they ask him if he saw it, but he says he didn't see anything.

Ca$h Flo
comes out and says after all the Cowboy Invitational, it comes down to one man, him. He says his opponent always talks about luck, but if you are betting on tonight's contest, you better bet on Ca$h Flo! It's not because of what he looks like or where he's been, it's because of raw determination and all the OVW fans. James Storm's music hits and he walks out to the ring. Storm holds up his titles and grabs a mic. Storm laughs at the fans cheering for Ca$h and says the more they cheer, the more he will kick Ca$h's @** tonight! He says he has been down the road with Ca$h before and knows he is a star in Kentucky, whereas he is an international superstar. Storm offers a handshake and Ca$h shakes his hand. Storm leaves the ring, but then sneaks back in and delivers the Last Call superkick. He tells Ca$h he forgot to tell him "Sorry about your da*n luck!".

"The Spark"
 Jada Stone
 
vs. "Hollyhood" Haley J.
Haley offers a handshake, but Jada hasn't forgotten about the time Haley cut her hair, so she smacks Haley's hand away. Haley with a side headlock takedown. Off the ropes, Jada hits a dropkick to the midsection and a high knee. Haley comes back with several strikes and hits the slingblade clothesline for the 3.
WINNER: HALEY J by pinfall.
After the match,
Freya the Slaya comes out. Referee Jake Cloyd hides behind Haley. Freya asks if he is going to get her fired, or if he is going to slam her? Haley is still in between them and Freya says to "move, little girl". Haley doesn't know who she thinks she is, but they can fight it out. Freya says she is free for "No Rest for the Wicked". She said she is still suspended, but she does things when and where she wants. Haley tells her to just remember that she is "Hollyhood" Haley J and she don't play.

OVW KENTUCKY HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: "The Fanny Pack Kid" Kal Herro vs. "The Veteran" Jack Vaughn (c).
Jack hits and chops Kal in the corner. Kal fires back. Jack misses a leap off the middle turnbuckle. Kal fires some shots and ducks a big boot. He goes for a sunset flip. Jack tries to hold onto the ref, but the ref hits him off and Kal rolls him up for 2. Kal with a clothesline attempt and ducks a charge. He rolls him up again for 2. Jack catches Kal with a huge spinebuster for 2. Jack goes up top, but Kal hits him and slams him off the top. He connects with the Fanny Pack Knee, but Jack falls out of the ring. Kal goes out to the floor to try and roll him back in. Kal gets him in and covers for 2. Kal sets up for another knee, but Jack gets to his feet and decks the ref. The ref calls for the bell while holding his jaw.
WINNER: KAL by DQ, but STILL KENTUCKY HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: VAUGHN.
After the match, Al Snow comes out and says he is tired of the shenanigans week after week. He tells Jack that he is suspended, but will defend the Kentucky Heavyweight Title at No Rest for the Wicked against an opponent of his choosing...Ryan Von Rockit. Ryan comes out playing the guitar and Al has to tell him to cut it out so he can hear this next part. There will be a special referee, and it's OVW official Doug Basham!

OVW TV (HOUR 2):
Josh Ashcraft, Dancin' Stevie J, & Bryan Kennison are on commentary, Linda Kay is the ring announcer.

"Mr. PEC-Tacular" Jessie Godderz & Shannon the Dude are out and STD says that it is now more clear than ever, that Tony Gunn is a danger! He comes out throwing chairs, drinking bourbon, and wrapped a chair around Adam Revolver's head. STD says they now have a restraining order against Gunn. Jessie says he feels bad for all the fans, because Gunn is a lunatic. Jessie says once he wins the OVW National Championship again, he will take his earnings and buy Gunn's childhood home with the picket fence around it and demolish it! Gunn's music hits and he comes down to ringside with officials trying to hold him back. Jessie's lawyer says he is glad Gunn is here. He can't be within 500 feet of his client or he will be in violation and will end up bagging groceries at the Save-a Lot. Officials walk Gunn out the side door of the arena. Next thing you hear is a loud boom, and cameras show Gunn on the ground with a truck speeding away!

"The Fighting Siren"
 Shalonce Royal vs. "La Princesa" Tiffany Nieves.
They lock up around the ring. Royal stomps her in the midsection. Tiffany catches her with a spinning sidewalk slam for 1. Royal rolls her over for 2. Royal hits a faceplant, then a big boot to the face. Royal kicks her in the face on the mat and locks in a sleeper hold. Tiffany works up, but Royal catches her off the ropes with the rolling Death Valley Driver for the 3.
WINNER: ROYAL by pinfall.

We see video outside of Tony Gunn being loaded into an ambulance.

"Big Money" Dimes vs. Manny Domingo.
Dimes locks up with Manny into the corner. He shoulder blocks him down. Manny catches him with an arm drag and dropkick. Dimes comes back with a hard clothesline and throws Manny hard into the corner. he goes for a chokeslam, but Manny slides out and rolls him up for 2. He chops Dimes, but Dimes fires back. He nails a big boot and drops a leg for 2. He covers again for 2. Dimes locks in a chinlock. Manny works up, but Dimes slams him and goes for a Dimes bomb out of the corner. Manny gets the knees up. He hits a headscissor takedown and goes up top. He connects with the 450 splash and picks up the 3.
WINNER: DOMINGO by pinfall.
After the match, Luke Kurtis comes out and says he underestimated Manny when he first came to OVW. He left his kids behind to come to Kentucky and go after his money, his cars, his title, his OVW. He is a bad father, just like the last guy he faced. Manny says all he is doing is running his mouth and last time he left Luke laying for the 1-2-3. He says it will be no different at No Rest for the Wicked and he can certify that!

Omar Amir comes out to join commentary...
OVW HEAVYWEIGHT & NATIONAL TITLE MATCH: 
Ca$h Flo 
vs. "Cowboy" James Storm (c).
Before Storm gets in the ring, he throws water at Omar. Ca$h locks up with Storm into the corner. He tells the ref that Ca$h pulled the hair and takes advantage by attacking Ca$h. Ca$h fights back and hits a sidewalk slam. Off the ropes, he goes for the running cross body, but Storm ducks. Storm comes out to ringside and claws Ca$h's face. He then hits Ca$h in front of the commentary table and grabs a trash can. He throws it at Ca$h and it dumps out in the lap of Omar. Back inside, Storm locks in a sleeper. Ca$h tries to work up to his feet, but Storm knocks him out of the ring and chokes him with a camera cable. Storm hits him around ringside and they both make it back in. Storm catches Ca$h with a back elbow and Storm has Ca$h on the top turnbuckle. He hits him off and Ca$h crashes all the way to the floor. The ref starts the count and Storm goes out. He hits Ca$h off the ring apron and claws his eyes. Storm rolls in to break the count and goes back out to roll Ca$h in. Storm with a sleeper. He puts his feet on the ropes for leverage. Ca$h starts getting to his feet, but Storm pulls him down by his hair. Storm with a snapmare and kick to the back. He goes out and grabs a chair. Storm swings it, but Ca$h moves. The chair ricochets off the top rope back into Storm's face. Ca$h covers for 2. Ca$h goes up for the Payload, but Storm rolls away. Storm pulls out a chain and decks Ca$h as the ref puts the chair out. Ca$h kicks out at 2! Storm charges, but Ca$h flips him to the apron. Storm kicks him in the back of the head and clotheslines him for 2. Storm sets up for the Last Call. Ca$h catches his boot and hits him with the running cross body for 2! Storm pull-in clotheslines Ca$h twice, but on the third attempt, Ca$h pulls him into the Wall Street Slam for the 3!
WINNER and 
NEW NATIONAL & HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION
: CA$H by pinfall.
