OVW TV 1211: Tased & Confused

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, October 27, 2022.

TONIGHT:

-The opening round of the Nightmare Cup tournament continues!

PRE-SHOW:

AJ McKay is the ring announcer.

"The Mercenary" Garrisaon Creed vs. "The Valedictorian of the Harvard of Professional Wrestling" KarDaniel Tobias Dunn.

They lock up and Creed pushes him away. They lock up again and Creed slings him across the ring. Dunn checks his book and tries to lock up Creed's arm. Creed throws him hard into the corner and clotheslines him. Creed with a big hip toss and then a slam. He drops a leg. Dunn tries to sneak and hit Creed with the book. Creed shoves him down, but misses a charge. He dropkicks Creed, but then runs into a hard clothesline. Creed gets him up on his shoulders and drops him with the No Mercy Slam for the 3.

WINNER: CREED by pinfall.

"The 80's Baybee" TW3 vs. "Rudo" Raul LaMotta.

Quick exchanges and pinfall attempts. A test of strength sees Raul take TW3 down to the mat for a pin attempt. TW3 hits Raul with a monkey flip, then a cross body for 2. Raul back with some hard chops. He stretches TW3 in a submission across his back, but TW3 slides off and arm drags him. TW3 with some quick offense, but misses a spin kick. TW3 with a crucifix pin attempt for 2. TW3 and Raul then go back and forth on roll-ups, but TW3 gets the better of the exchange and picks up the 3.

WINNER: TW3 by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 1):

Josh Ashcraft, Bryan Kennison, & Dancin' Stevie J are on commentary, Eric Cornish & Linda Kay are the ring announcers.

In the back, there's a drawing for the next Nightmare Cup random teams. Tony Bizo is paired with Anthony Catena, while Omar Amir is paired with Adam Revolver!

"The Fighting Siren" Shalonce Royal vs. "Savage, Not Average" Judi Hendrix.

Judi goes on the offense, but Royal plows her down off the ropes. Royal kicks her and hits a hard shot to the face in the corner. Royal connects with a knee to the face and chokes Judi in the ropes. She hits the rolling Death Valley Driver for the 3.

WINNER: ROYAL by pinfall.

After the match, Leila Grey appears on video. She says she has been impressed with Shalonce, but she will still be just a contender after Saturday at No Rest for the Wicked.

In the back, Adam Revolver says he can't compete because he is in a wheelchair. Jessie Godderz is obsessed with a taser he got in case Tony Gunn shows his face tonight.

Tyler Lee Deputy, "The Midwest Monster Hunter" Bo Sawyer, & Callen Vance vs. "The Fallen": ZDP & OVW Tag Team Champions "The Nephilim" D'mone Solavino & "The Dark Reverend" Ronnie Roberts.

The Fallen double and triple team their opponents. Tyler starts out, tags in Callen, then Bo tags in. Bo gets in some offense, taking down ZDP with a huge spinebuster. The Fallen triple team him, throwing Tyler & Callen out of the ring in the process. D'mone gets on Reverend's back and they run and fall backwards on top of Bo to pick up the 1-2-3.

WINNERS: THE FALLEN by pinfall.

"Big Al" Alice Crowley vs. Guit-Arie Alexander.

Alice goes on the attack as soon as Arie gets in. Arie doesn't ever get her ring jacket off. Alice hits a perfect plex for 2. Arie hits a snapmare and kick. Alice runs into a back elbow, then Arie hits her with a headscissor takedown. Alice comes back and hits her with not one, but two backdrops on the back of Arie's head and she gets the 3.

WINNER: ALICE by pinfall.

Tony Evans comes out and says he has been coming to OVW for 2 years and has nothing to show for it. Management is holding him back and any opportunity he gets, he's going to take it. The only reason people come on Thursday nights is to see him. He's putting everyone on notice, especially the champions. He calls out Luke Kurtis, the Fallen, even Leila Grey! He then calls out Ca$h Flo. Ca$h comes out and says he is messing around with finding out why he is at the top and the safest advice is to leave this ring and not find out why. Evans shoves him and hits him from behind. Off the ropes, Ca$h hits the running cross body and lays Evans out.

NIGHTMARE CUP OPENING ROUND: "The Complete Package" Tony Bizo & Anthony F.N. Catena vs. Adam Revolver & Omar Amir.

Catena clotheslines Adam and hits a spinning back elbow. Adam & Bizo both try to cheat, so Omar & Catena pull them into the ring and hit them. They throw them into each other and clothesline them. Omar hits a suplex to Catena, but Catena throws Omar off the ropes, and doesn't see Bizo pull the top rope down. Omar falls out to the floor. Catena & Bizo each suplex Omar. Bizo hits him with a DDT and tags Catena. Catena runs into a back elbow. He charges Omar again, but he moves, and Catena hits the turnbuckle. Bizo comes in, but Omar hits him and clotheslines him. Omar is in control, but Adam blind tags off the ropes. All 4 men take each other down. Tony Gunn chases Jessie Godderz out to the ring. Jessie tries to use the taser on him, but Gunn blocks it and they accidentally tase Revolver below the belt. Catena is able to pick up the 1-2-3.

WINNERS: BIZO & CATENA by pinfall.

OVW TV (HOUR 2):

In the back, there's another drawing for the Nightmare Cup tournament. Deget Bundlez is partnered up with Jared Kripke. Truth Magnum is about to be partnered up, but Jessie Godderz interrupts, being chased by Tony Gunn. The distraction allows Truth to set it up for his own partner, Turbo Floyd, to be drawn.

Prince Ahmed vs. Manny Domingo.

Manny takes the fight to Ahmed as Luke Kurtis comes to ringside, causing a distraction. Ahmed attacks him from behind and hits a Russian leg sweep. Manny fires back and locks in the COA. Luke taunts him at ringside. Manny gets up and flies through the ropes onto Luke on the floor. He gets back up and hits Ahmed with the 450 splash. Luke gets in with a chair and cracks Manny across the back as he goes to make the pin.

WINNER: MANNY by DQ.

After the match, Luke sets the chair up in the ring. He hits Manny with a front suplex across the chair.

Jay Dinero vs. Ryan Von Rockit.

They lock up into the corner. Ryan pushes him away. They lock up again into another corner. Jay misses a swing. Ryan kicks him and hits an inverted atomic drop. He stomps him in the midsection. He drops a fist, then finishes him off with the neckbreaker drop for the 3.

WINNER: ROCKIT by pinfall.

After the match, Doug Basham comes out and says that due to Jack Vaughn's antics last week, he has been heavily fined and stripped of the Kentucky Heavyweight Title. This Saturday's match will be for the title, and Doug promises it will be called straight down the middle.

NIGHTMARE CUP OPENING ROUND: "Hustla" Deget Bundlez & "Big Whiskey" Jared Kripke vs. "The Outrunners": Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd.

Deget & Jared attack the Outrunners as they shake hands with Bryan Kennison & Dancin' Stevie J (who are dressed as the Outrunners for Halloween). Back inside, Truth gets kicked in the corner by Deget as Jared holds him in the corner. Truth pulls Jared into their corner and tags Turbo. Off the ropes, Truth ducks and Jared gets hit by Turbo. Deget tags in and throat thrusts Turbo. Turbo tags out. Jared tags back in, but Truth catches him with a roundhouse kick. Off the ropes, Deget pulls them down and Truth falls to the floor. Jared locks Truth in a camel clutch. Deget tags in and takes Truth down in the corner and tells Jared to choke him, but Jared refuses. Deget scoops Truth up for a hard slam, then locks in a submission. Truth works up. Deget hits him with a leaping clothesline off the ropes. Jared tags in and chops Truth. He chops again and throws him to the other corner. Truth kicks him and chops him. He throws Jared to the other corner, but runs into a boot. Deget tags in and locks the submission back in. Truth is fading, but not out. He starts to fire back, but Deget hits him with a kick to the back of the head for 2. Jared tags in and locks in a sleeper, but Truth hits a backdrop. Both men tag and Turbo fires away on Deget & Jared. He dropkicks Deget and throws Jared out of the ring. Deget hits him from behind. Deget argues with Jared and slaps him in the face. Jared gets in the ring and hits Deget with a backstabber. Truth shoves Jared out of the ring as Turbo covers Deget for the 3.

WINNERS: OUTRUNNERS by pinfall.

In the back, Haley J & Freya the Slaya get into an argument and senior official Daniel Spencer is going to see if Al Snow will approve them to have their match tonight!

"Mr. Juicy" Luscious Lawrence vs. "Superior" Tony Evans.

Evans goes on the attack, but Luscious quickly gains control. He hits a leaping fameasser off the second rope, followed by a powerslam off the ropes. He hits some double axehandles off the top rope, then finishes Evans off with the One Night Stand for the 3.

WINNER: LUSCIOUS by pinfall.

"The Queen of the North" Freya the Slaya vs. "Hollyhood" Haley J.

They smack each other with their ring jackets, then Freya clubs Haley from behind and hits her in the corner. Haley with some hits and a kick to the face. Freya throws Haley's ring jacket in Haley's face and goes back on the offense. She throws Haley across the ring and Haley starts to fire back again. Freya throat thrusts her and hits a chokeslam. Referee Jake Cloyd runs out and tells referee Charlene that Freya broke the rules. Freya shoves him off the apron and goes back on the attack against Haley. She goes up top for a flying legdrop, but Haley moves. Haley fires away with forearms, but Freya throws her to the corner. Haley with a boot. Tony Gunn chases Jessie Godderz & Adam Revolver out and through the ring in the middle of this match.

NO CONTEST.

Adam grabs Gunn's leg and Jessie tases Gunn. The locker room clears to run Jessie & Adam off.
