OVW TV 1214: Conquistadors, Machines, & Lumberjacks

This is the OVW Report for Thursday, November 17, 2022.

TONIGHT:

-OVW Heavyweight & National Champion Ca$h Flo teams up with Mahabali Shera to face the Outrunners with Thanksgiving Thunder's main event on the line!

-In Rush Division action, Luke Kurtis is back for another "Certified Open Challenge", and a 6-man scramble features Star Rider vs. Wayne Moxxi vs. Manny Domingo vs. Nikeem the Dream vs. ZDP vs. Callen Vance!

-In Women's action, Arie Alexander looks for revenge and to end the winning streak of Alice Crowley, and Haley J is in action against Jada Stone!

-Plus, Tony Gunn picks the stipulation for his Thanksgiving Thunder match against Jessie Godderz, Luscious Lawrence & Omar Amir try to divide and conquer the Fallen, OVW Women's Champion Shalonce Royal is in action, Big Zo & Big Beef are back in tag team action, and much more!

OVW TV (HOUR 1):

Josh Ashcraft, Bryan Kennison, & Dancin' Stevie J are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

Callen Vance vs. ZDP vs. Nikeem the Dream vs. "The Dreamweaver" Wayne Moxxi vs. Manny Domingo vs. "The Star of the Show" Star Rider.

A lot of fast-paced offense. All 6 men fly out onto each other. A 6-man suplex as Moxxi, Nikeem, & Manny suplex Star, Vance, & ZDP. Star drops Vance with a brainbuster and the Falling Star, but Manny follows with the 450 on Vance. They fight over the pin, but ZDP ends up with the 3 when it's all said and done as he shoves Star & Manny into each other.

WINNER: ZDP by pinfall.

BRIAN'S THOUGHTS: A good showing from the Rush Division to kick off tonight's show!

"Southern Discomfort": Jebediah Blackhawk & Snake Williams Jr. vs. "Big Beef" Gnarls Garvin & Big Zo.

Discomfort puts up some more fight than other teams have against Zo & Beef in past weeks, but Snake gets squashed between them and they finish him off with the double splash for the 3.

WINNERS: ZO & BEEF by pinfall.

BRIAN'S THOUGHTS: If I were in the tag team division right now, I would not want to see my team listed across from Zo & Beef on the match list!

Brittany Jade vs. OVW Women's Champion "The Fighting Siren" Shalonce Royal.

Shalonce sings as she fights. She takes her eye off of the prize a few times allowing Jade to get some offense in. Shalonce with a hard right and a sliding faceplant to pick up the 3.

WINNER: SHALONCE by pinfall.

BRIAN'S THOUGHTS: Can Shalonce continue hitting the high notes while staying atop the OVW Women's division?

Referee Jake Cloyd gets shoved down as Freya the Slaya comes out to the ring. Freya says he has been petitioning to get her fired and is threatening her livelihood and she wants to know what his problem is. Jake says she should be fired. Freya says he's mad because he couldn't make it as a wrestler. Freya says he's not a real man. Jake takes shots at her being with referee Aaron Grider and says he doesn't have money to pay her off, like he knows Aaron is doing. Aaron comes out and challenges Jake to a fight at Thanksgiving Thunder! Jake accepts, shoves Aaron down, then hightails it out of the ring.

"The Nephilim" D'mone Solavino vs. Omar Amir.

A lot of back and forth, but Omar starts to heat up and hit D'mone with belly to belly suplexes and a German. ZDP hits the ring apron and distracts Omar. The Dark Reverend also comes out to ringside. D'mone hits Omar with a double eat de-feet to the chest and picks up the 3!

WINNER: D'MONE by pinfall.

BRIAN'S THOUGHTS: The numbers game works out for the Fallen again, as D'mone picks up what most would call an upset victory over a former OVW Heavyweight Champion.

"Big Al" Alice Crowley vs. Arie Alexander.

A hard hitting contest. Arie hits Alice with 2 German Suplexes, but on a third attempt, Alice kicks Arie below the belt for a DQ.

WINNER: ARIE by DQ.

BRIAN'S THOUGHTS: Alice has looked unstoppable, but after this match, it looks like Arie might have her number. Will they meet up in an encore match?

"Mr. Juicy" Luscious Lawrence vs. "The Dark Reverend" Ronnie Roberts.

Luscious with a hot start. Reverend tries to bite Luscious and take control. Luscious heats back up after a powerslam. He sets up for the One Night Stand, but ZDP & D'mone Solavino both come out and hop on the apron. ZDP & D'mone both get pulled back under the ring, and out from under the ring comes Omar Amir. Reverend is distracted and Luscious scoops him up for the One Night Stand and the 3.

WINNER: LUSCIOUS by pinfall.

BRIAN'S THOUGHTS: Turn about is fair play, they say. Have Omar & Luscious gained an upperhand in this ongoing rivalry with the Fallen?

OVW TV (HOUR 2):

Josh Ashcraft, Bryan Kennison, & Dancin' Stevie J are on commentary, Eric Cornish is the ring announcer.

Luke Kurtis is out and says everyone came to see him and when everyone goes home, puts their jammies on, and gets under the covers, they will all sleep better knowing they are closer to being certified just like him. He chooses another competitor for the open challenge...

"CERTIFIED OPEN CHALLENGE": Rush Division Champion "Certified" Luke Kurtis vs. Conquistador #1.

Conquistador with a hurricanrana, super kick, and takes Luke down with the COA! Luke is forced to tap.

WINNER: CONQUISTADOR by submission.

After the match, Conquistador unmasks to reveal himself as Kal Herro!

BRIAN'S THOUGHTS: Kal was able to outsmart Luke and earns himself a Rush Division Title shot. Will he be able to make Luke tap once more and earn some gold at Thanksgiving Thunder?

"The Spark" Jada Stone vs. "Hollyhood" Haley J.

A good match, but Haley puts Jada away after hitting the Ripcord for the 3.

WINNER: HALEY J by pinfall.

BRIAN'S THOUGHTS: Haley continues to win and climb back up the ranks of the Women's division.

"The Galaxy Collector" Danny Astro vs. Ryan Von Rockit.

Ryan controls most of the matchup and puts Astro away with the neckbreaker drop.

WINNER: VON ROCKIT by pinfall.

After the match, Ryan says he is ready to take Jack Vaughn & Doug Basham both down at Thanksgiving Thunder and win the Kentucky Heavyweight Title. Doug comes out and says Ryan can't make matches. Ryan says it sounds like "The Machine" is a bit rusty. Doug says Ryan talks to much and says to go ahead and sign on the dotted line and he will show you what the Machine is all about!

BRIAN'S THOUGHTS: Has Ryan talked himself into dangerous territory? Age aside, the Machine sounds ready.

"The Outrunners": Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd vs. "The Indian Lion" Mahabali Shera & OVW Heavyweight/National Champion Ca$h Flo.

The Outrunners try to use some underhanded tactics to control the match and try to win. Truth even hits Ca$h from behind with a chair and passes it to Shera. In the end, Turbo gets taken out with the running cross body by Ca$h. Shera tags himself in and Truth charges in. Ca$h throws him out of the ring as Shera hits the Sky High on Turbo for the 3.

WINNERS: SHERA & CA$H by pinfall.

BRIAN'S THOUGHTS: Shera & Ca$h will now face off at Thanksgiving Thunder for the OVW Heavyweight Title. The ring might need to be reinforced for this one!

Tony Gunn comes out to pick the stipulation for his Thanksgiving Thunder match against Jessie Godderz. He has a sling and leg brace on. He says the match won't happen, because he unfortunately tore his ACL and has a slight tear in his bicep tendon. Jessie comes to the ring with Adam Revolver & Shannon the Dude. Jessie makes fun of Tony and kicks a crutch out from under him. Tony takes off the sling and brace and goes after Jessie. He takes Adam down and stomps him in the corner. He says he is 110% and is ready for Thanksgiving Thunder. He says Jessie has nowhere to run or hide, because it will be a lumberjack match! The OVW locker room comes out and tries to push Jessie into the ring. Jessie tries to crowd surf his way away from Tony and out of the ringside area.
