Without further ado:
Here we go...
I always recommend watching
the episode first before reading the report.
Again, you can check it out on OVW's official website late Thursday
afternoon/evening at www.ovwrestling.com/tv
and on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings).
Dean Hill & Michael Titus are on commentary and Shannon the Dude is the ring announcer for the evening.
OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLE #1 CONTENDER'S TOURNAMENT FINAL: "Two Hicks With Sticks" Trailer Park Trash & Flash Flanagan vs. "The Skywalkers" Aaron Sky & "Primetime" Robbie Walker.
A very good back and forth match between the young guns and the experienced veterans ends on the outside where Robbie Walker is pushed into the steel ringpost by Big Jon of the Bodyguys. Trash is taken down, and Bobby Black clips Flash's leg on the inside. A steel chair is brought in and wrapped around Flash's ankle. Bodyguy and Black both stomp on it. It is said that Flash's ankle is swollen to 3 times its normal size. Trash runs the Bodyguys off with the kendo stick, but it is too late for Flash. Trash grabs a mic and says he has known Flash for over 20 years. They have had some battles with each other and against each other, but always had each other's backs. At the Saturday Night Special, they will be unable to capture the tag titles one more time, but Trash says he wants the Bodyguys in a gauntlet match. He's not 20 years old where he can fight them all at once, but will go through Black, then Bodyguy, and finish Big Jon last.
WINNERS and NEW #1 CONTENDERS: SKYWALKERS by DQ.MY VIEW: Trailer Park Trash will have to try and go through 3 guys in one night, but he said himself that he is not as young as he once was. Will he be able to successfully complete the gauntlet? Also, the Skywalkers have been on fire since forming as a team. Can this young duo get their first taste of gold at the Saturday Night Special?
Stephon J. Baxter interviews Mohamad Ali Vaez backstage. Ali says this all started with Adam Revolver wanting to team with him, that he didn't want any part of. Now, Marcus Anthony is part of his problem with Danger International.
OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles (w/Altar Boy Jade Dawson) vs. "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (c).
Pastor is reluctant to hook up with Melvin. Melvin finally gets a hold of him and power slams him and looks for the Bearhug. He is grabbed by Cameron on the outside. Paredyse runs out and says that they like to double-team him & Mr. Maximus, but how about a little tag team action right now?
"The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles & Altar Boy Jade Dawson vs. Paredyse & "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus.
"The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stuart Miles & Altar Boy Jade Dawson vs. Paredyse & "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus.
Pastor & Cameron work over Melvin early until he makes the tag to Paredyse. Paredyse comes in on fire, but gets distracted by Cameron, who is not the legal man. Pastor with a quick rollup and a handful of tights for the 3.
WINNERS: PASTOR & CAMERON by pinfall.
MY VIEW: If Pastor & Cameron beat both Paredyse & Melvin in tag action, does that mean a sure victory when they face Paredyse in a handicap match at the Saturday Night Special?
Shiloh Jonze comes to the ring with a leaner, meaner, and clean-shaven Clint Poe. He says that Poe is the only one with any sense, and will do as he says. Tony Gunn comes out and says they have history. Poe should follow Nick Dumeyer & Raul LaMotta, and join him. Shiloh says he will not, and tells Poe to attack Gunn. Gunn continues to talk to Poe, and Shiloh attacks Gunn from behind. He tells Poe to finish him. Poe refuses and quits the Marauders also! Shiloh turns around into Gunn's reverse Russian leg sweep.
MY VIEW: Does Shiloh truly stand alone or could this be a setup by the Marauders?
Backstage
interviewer Stephon J. Baxter talks to Jamin Olivencia. He asks about a concussion. Jamin says he was hit head first into the steel post 4 times, of course he has a concussion. That will not stop him from getting into the steel cage for the main event of the Saturday Night Special, tearing Marcus Anthony down, and walking out as the new OVW Heavyweight Champion.MY VIEW: Jamin's a fighter, but will his concussion hinder him in the steel cage?MY VIEW: If Pastor & Cameron beat both Paredyse & Melvin in tag action, does that mean a sure victory when they face Paredyse in a handicap match at the Saturday Night Special?

Back at ringside, Dean Hill leaves the announce desk to figure out why referees Chris Sharpe & Josh Ashcraft are arguing at ringside. Sharpe says Josh has messed up enough and is pulling him from the main event. Josh doesn't want to leave, but Sharpe says he could face an even longer suspension if he doesn't. Josh finally says fine and storms off.
Mohamad Ali Vaez vs. Marcus Anthony (w/Timmy Danger).
A really good match between these two with several near falls. Late in the match, Ali starts to take control, locking Marcus in a crossface. Timmy Danger distracts Chris Sharpe, and Dylan Bostic & the Mexicutioner interfere. The Skywalkers come out to even up the odds. Sharpe tries to control them on the outside as they fight to the back. Back inside, Ali low blows Marcus and hits the neckbreaker, but Adam Revolver comes out and puts Marcus' foot on the ropes. Ali chases Adam around the ring and back inside. Marcus plows into Ali, who bowls over Sharpe. Marcus with a powerbomb, and Josh Ashcraft returns to count, but Ali kicks out at 2. Danger distracts Josh now, and Adam nails Ali in the back with a steel chair. Marcus locks in the Crimson Omen, and before Ali even taps, Josh turns around and calls for the bell.
WINNER: MARCUS by submission.
MY VIEW: Why was Josh Ashcraft still in the building? Who can stop Danger International and the numbers game?
This ended the TV taping.

"Rudo" Raul LaMotta & Nick Dumeyer def. Deonta Davis & J. Best.
Dapper Dan def. Leon Shelly.
